  1. We’re also playing Bradford away the week before Bolton apparently.
  2. You may be right but everyone I’ve spoken to today thinks it’ll be great. Though I have just been told that the Beehive got ruined in the Horwich flood. Touch unfortunate.
  3. Can’t say I disagree with you to be fair. I really like all 4 & AWB, it’s great that we have such depth there. FWIW I think he will take 3, as Walker can play CB in a 3. Then it will be Trippier and either/or from James & TAA. I wouldn’t disagree with that either myself, but I would say Trent has more ‘big game’ experience than James, and that may edge it, but also GS doesn’t seem to like TAA.
  4. I’m not digging you out, but I saw this earlier. I think Trent is the best we have due to his versatility but I was shocked to see these stats. https://twitter.com/joel_archie/status/1397145363916673029?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1397145363916673029|twgr^|twcon^s1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fd-40320892142202381041.ampproject.net%2F2105150310000%2Fframe.html Link didn’t go how I expected, here are the stats: Defensive statistics this season (league games only) Tackle success: Trent 57.9% Walker 54.3% Trippier 43.9% James 38.8% Dribbled past per 90: Trent 0.71 Walker 0.74 James 1.14 Trippier 1.16 Ball recoveries per 90: Trent 9.97 Trippier 8.87 Walker 8.66 James 8.18
  5. On the face of it, Bolton away is a brilliant fixture. Should be cheap, it’s local, and we will get a decent allocation. As it looks like it’ll be one of the first games for almost 18 months, I suspect a sellout (despite everyone on here saying they aren’t going again under TM - myself including) & hopefully a good day on the beers. Added benefit of rubbing it into Bolton that they’re hosting us in a PSF, because they’re shit. To be fair to the club (if they organised it rather than being approached), it’s a great bit of planning.
  6. Is this to say he’s actually pissed off about it? If so, another reason to fuck him off. What a tosser if he’s really not made up for him!
  7. Poor Lionel. His contract is up at Barca and now he’s going to be shown up by Ben, and replaced by him after a £75m transfer…
  8. Ah, you’re clearly being a pedantic pr!ck for the sake of it, I see. I said their fan base would grow as everything improves there, so the fact that the last season with fans at all games, they achieved a higher than 5k attendance, it would make sense to believe they’d build on that. Have a good weekend 👍🏼
  9. Well given that they did that 2 years ago, I’d say that’s very wrong.
  10. I think that’s misleading. They have a very big catchment area and for a National League club do very well attendance wise. As they grow the club and interest in the club, their attendances will grow with them.
  11. The club called me the other day to pick up my flag after it being on display since last summer. I don’t live in Blackburn so collecting it mid week whilst I work isn’t exactly possible. With both Blues & Roverstore being open again, why they cannot do it on a Saturday is beyond me, it’s not like there won’t be club staff at the ground. Just another example of the club being utterly thoughtless when it comes to the fans. **edit** My reason for putting this comment in this thread is that I think we’ll be waiting a while for season tickets, because they treat us with such contempt.
  12. A friend of mine is a Wrexham fan and he’s told me a lot about it in great detail. It seems it all stemmed from Rob’s upbringing. Philly is in a similar economic position to Wrexham & when he decided he wanted to own a football club (I can’t remember why that was), he spent a long time researching and realised Wrexham are the perfect match. Ambitious, decent sized club down on their luck with a big and passionate fanbase, and also (crucially) affordable for his project. They aren’t likely to win the UCL, but they’re going to be secure for a very long time, well after the Hollywood sign is a distant memory, because it is a passion project and the plans are in motion to build the club up at an infrastructure level, board level and team level. My envy knows no bounds.
  13. Fair enough, did not dig that deep! India’s richest man too, so can afford to lose a few Bob getting us promoted
  14. I had a look too & concluded that Kolkata & Rajasthan’s owners seemed most likely to be interested due to their other ventures. I realise it doesn’t always work that way, but Lachlan Murdoch (son of Rupert) part-owning Rajasthan seems a more likely investor in an English football team to me than say Chennai’s owner who’s background is concrete. I am sure it’s all hypothetical and nothing comes from it, but it’s a least a glimmer of hope…
  15. I’d be very surprised if it’s true, given the situation.
  16. I won’t even check the scores if that useless twunt even gets mentioned in relation to being our manager.
  17. As funny as it would be, do you really want to face them again next season given how we’re likely to look? I definitely don’t!
  18. As though the current situation paints the club in a good light? It’s people’s right to protest, having a few pints doesn’t change that does it? All I am saying is Ewood Park is not a long walk from the Brown Cow, Havelock etc. A bit of liquid courage and people may want to tell Mowbray he’s a prick in person.
  19. With pubs half opening on Monday, if by Saturday we are 1/17 I can see some drunken folk making a beeline for Ewood anyway, regardless of anything being planned, when they realise they can make their voice heard for the first time…
  20. Is it worth getting in touch with Plagiarism Begins At Home (https://instagram.com/plagiarism_begins_at_home?igshid=qmbt8txit7r6)? He’s a sticker guy but also a Rovers fan. If he’s willing & can produce a sticker with the QR code on, it could be plastered around the town perhaps?
  21. Can we get this in writing? Not that I don’t like you, it’s just quite the hill to die on. Must have some serious faith in him leaving.
  22. Did it fuck as like. That would be a sensible thing to do, and they are outlawed at boardroom level within this club.
