  1. I’d love Everton or Burnley away, I think we’d beat them, they are both so poor at the moment. Everton is a good day out and Burnley is Burnley. I’d take Kidderminster away for somewhere new to me, Liverpool away as it’s always a great day out or St Albans/Boreham Wood away. A big club at home would be alright, but I’d prefer to play any of them away.
  2. According to Infogol: AA had 189 shots which converted to 28 goals in the league. Interestingly his xG was only 27.74, which indicates an average of 0.14xG per shot. BBD has so far had 54 shots, which has converted to 16 goals in the league. His xG is 12.49, or 0.23xG per shot. To me this shows that he is getting shots off from much better positions than AA did, and then scoring them. I think that much is obvious, he doesn’t take pot shots 4 or 5 times a game like AA did. At his current trajectory, BBD could hit 38.73 goals this season, which would blow AA out of the water.
  3. I took the half and I am kicking myself, but I am also buzzing for him & everyone who’s stuck it out. It gets said a lot, but this story is incredible. It’s like he’s manifested Leicester 2015-16.
  4. I think he’s talking bollocks too, but had that handball from Johnson’s header been given, at 2-0, with BBD in the form of his life that’s almost a given at 2-1. Could’ve changed the game. We were by no means ‘still in the game’ at that point though, it would’ve got us back in it. I am totally baffled that there’s still people absolving him of any blame & not agreeing that he needs to go. A very long season to come…
  5. If your penultimate sentence was read out loud by a Londoner, the ending would sound like they’re describing the Coventrio.
  6. It was 1000/1 to begin with, fingers crossed a few of us are a bit richer in May!
  7. Same applies to the official club Facebook post. It’s genuinely infuriating.
  8. Except it’s right there in the final paragraph.
  9. They need to come back to learn they aren’t welcome. Fuck them.
  10. Oh yeah, no doubting that! But I bet their fans were absolutely made up with the fact that they brought those players in and used the money wisely.
  11. Mowbray told the LT that he expects none of the Arma money to come back to the squad. I suppose the wider issue is we’ve spent the Arma money before selling him, and for the most part wasted it.
  12. This is the most reliable one I’ve seen (blue tick). £21.3m.
  13. Is anyone else a bit gutted that we’re about to make our record sale and not a penny of it will go back into the squad? When you see what Spurs did (Bale), Norwich (Maddison) and now Villa (Grealish) are doing whilst making silly money sales, and compare it to what we will do, it does just compound all of the misery of the past 11 years.
  14. You can’t stop death, it is a natural part of life, and as the world evolves, causes of death are changing. In no way am I saying that drink driving is acceptable, it’s abhorrent, especially when alcohol free lager and gin exist and taste the same, however your point just leads to more open ended options. We can stop deaths from many different things by locking ourselves away for eternity, but what’s the point? I’d rather a shorter life lived, than live until the age of 100 and be bored senseless for the next 75 years. I’m not sure too many would argue against that. Many scientists & politicians have God complexes, which has resulted in them all wanting to be the ones who change the course of humanity for longer lives, but they completely disregard all other factors involved in living a life, and focus purely on your body having oxygen and blood coursing through your veins. Sorry for the rant, and not a dig at you, just been building up a while clearly!
  15. Jalil Saadi came in from France didn’t he? Not that he’s recently joined, but he’s the only non-domestic one I can think of.
  16. My language points to how angry your post made me, nothing more. It is not unreasonable to expect equal treatment to everyone else, at all. You don’t think the younger generation are disproportionately affected, because they haven’t died? Young people are the ones that are going to have to pick up the bill for this, despite many of their industries being destroyed, for a virus that does not damage them in general. In fact, it doesn’t do much damage to anyone healthy.
  17. In short, get fucked. ’vastly discounted rate’, so it fucking should be, young adults are more often than not the ones in the worst financial position. Young families, poorer wages, high outgoings etc. Think this says a lot about you that you seem to have a grievance for this age category getting a discounted ticket price. They would get the same % discount as everyone else (if they had a ST last year), so they wouldn’t be getting it at a cheaper rate. Anyone aged 23 the day of the Derby game back in 2020, is looking at a £220 price increase, straight off the back of a worldwide pandemic that has disproportionately effected their age group, now that Waggott has reduced the YA age category by 2 years. Have some fucking perspective.
  18. I can vividly remember the vast majority of the stadium (probably 75%) standing up to “stand up, if you want Venky’s Out”, live on Sky, at home to Wigan just after Alcaraz scored. It did nothing to the chicken chokers’ opinion & there’s never been a show of unity like it since. As many have mentioned, they’ll never be effected by any form of protest because they simply don’t give a shit. I have no idea what the solution is, but NAPM even with that level of unity probably wouldn’t make a difference, which is highly painful.
  19. Oh aye, such a fantastic trip to our neighbours across the Pennines/back in the 1970’s.
