Got my ticket, booked my hotel room for Friday night, got my lift sorted out. Two weeks today, the weekend begins, infact this time two weeks from now I`ll be somewhere near Birmingham M5/M6 junction. And boy am I looking forward to it. Thats one of things about following football, sooner or later the big match comes along and the exitement, build up and the sheer fact of having something to look forward to these days in life makes it nearly all worth while! Football is a hobby of mine, and I intend to enjoy it.

I would pull out all the stops to watch Rovers in an FA cup semi-final, in fact barring death I would prioritise this above all other things in my life. 30 years I have been waiting for this and I aint gonna miss it despite what the FA have put in front of me. But I doubt there are another 30,000 Rovers fans who feel the same.

Leicester-Crap performance LCFC Fans-Not a bad effort, but I`ve seen better this season. Rovers-Should have taken the game by the scruff of the neck but did not. Early superiority failing to manifest into goals/pressure. Rovers Fans-AT GROUND-Not bad-reactive rather than proactive though. FA Cup Sunday dawns again,and, like the last one, over in Yorkshire the sky is clear and the sun is shining. However thats where the similarities end I`m afraid. Nowhere near as excited this morning as I was then, and strangely less confident about the outcome. I`ve seen too many cup matches where Rovers look like the favourites to win, only to end in tame capitulation. One grain of hope exists, in the unbeleivable performance at Everton last week-another 90 minutes like that and we`ll be OK. Sat in the Jack Walker Upper again, BBE side-Lucky new seat for me(unbeaten in er, 1 game there). Hope for an easy win, a nice afternoon in the pub watching Spuds wallop Souness` barcodes and a chicken dinner at seven. And Spuds in Cardiff for the semi....easy meat!
