    Semi Final

I wonder where the replay would be played, should there be the need for one.
  2. This may be a stupid question or two but 1. Was there ever a definitive reason for him leaving, apart from "err I dont like playing in the Reebok" 2. How much did we get back for him.
  3. Nearly a week after going on open sale and not sold 1800 odd tickets. My we are spoiled these days, I remember not too long ago (8 years) we could have sold 3-4K for this trip.
  4. There are 2. Giggs and.... Jason Dodd at Southampton.
  5. Doesn`t look too good calling this thread Scum Preview. Please can we change it to avoid embaresment .

    Semi Final

Having seen the prices I am now convinced we won`t sell 30,000 tickets. In fact I don`t think we would sell 30,000 even if it was at Villa Park on Saturday 3.00pm kick off. I reckon we`ll shift 15-20,000 tops. "We anticipate that the number of tickets available is likely to meet the demand from Blackburn Rovers supporters" The official line from the club...
  7. For all the talk of Arsenal diving, ref bias, Dickovs petulance, etc if Emerton or more over Reid had done the business RE sticking the ball in the net we would have got a 1-1 draw. Enough talk.
  8. I`ve heard the centre halves tomorrow are Amo and Matteo.

    Semi Final

Horden Arms are doing two coaches to the semi....apply within. Evening post doing a coach/hotel offer... How about hitch-hiking from the M65 at Hoghton Arms on Friday morning with a piece of cardboard with the word CARDIFF written on with a bingo dobber? With a two man tent and a blow-up doll for company. And a tray of stella? Bet loads of people would stop...

    Semi Final

Yes I went. And I am going this time too. I would pull out all the stops to watch Rovers in an FA cup semi-final, in fact barring death I would prioritise this above all other things in my life. 30 years I have been waiting for this and I aint gonna miss it despite what the FA have put in front of me. But I doubt there are another 30,000 Rovers fans who feel the same.

    Semi Final

Does anyone really think we will sell all 30,000 tickets for the semi? Cos I don`t think we will.

    Semi Final

You mean the one with no brakes !! When Astley went flying through a plate glass window??
  13. Leicester-Crap performance LCFC Fans-Not a bad effort, but I`ve seen better this season. Rovers-Should have taken the game by the scruff of the neck but did not. Early superiority failing to manifest into goals/pressure. Rovers Fans-AT GROUND-Not bad-reactive rather than proactive though. NOT AT GROUND-Embarrissing, don`t deserve a decent club like Rovers Nelsen-Yet to make a mistake in a Rovers shirt. Service in the Jack Walker Upper-Tip top. SEE YOU AT CARDIFF!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOOOORAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYY for ROVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY
  14. FA Cup Sunday dawns again, and, like the last one, over in Yorkshire the sky is clear and the sun is shining. However thats where the similarities end I`m afraid. Nowhere near as excited this morning as I was then, and strangely less confident about the outcome. I`ve seen too many cup matches where Rovers look like the favourites to win, only to end in tame capitulation. One grain of hope exists, in the unbeleivable performance at Everton last week-another 90 minutes like that and we`ll be OK. Sat in the Jack Walker Upper again, BBE side-Lucky new seat for me(unbeaten in er, 1 game there). Hope for an easy win, a nice afternoon in the pub watching Spuds wallop Souness` barcodes and a chicken dinner at seven. And Spuds in Cardiff for the semi....easy meat!
  15. You forgot to factor in the coughing of Bob Fleming that infuenced the outcome.
  16. Hello again and welcome back to `Who wants to win the FA Cup?` The winner of fastest finger first, is...Blackburn Rovers. Come and join me in the hotseat and play-Who Wants To Win The FA CUUUUPPP. Diddlediddleediddleduuuum. OK, nervous?-Yes, a little. Ok, just take your time and relax. First question, for a third round win, can you beat Cardiff City away? Hhhhmmm, well, tricky one that, not sure... You dont have answer, you do still have 3 lifelines left. Hmm, I`ll go fifty fifty and play MGP, hopefully getting a replay and beating them at Ewood. Sure? Positive. Final answer-away draw and beat them back in Blackburn. THATS THE RIGHT ANSWER!!! YOUR IN THE FOURTH ROUND! Diddlediddleediddleduuuum. Ok, next round. Take a look at this one, you don`t have to answer it, just have a look at tell me what you think. For a fourth round win, can you beat Colchester United? (already smiling)YES! YES! You seem pretty confident! Yes, we can beat them, I`ve seen their keeper and his pants. Final answer? Yep, final answer, Rovers win. Rovers? Yes? You`ve just won...the fourth round of the FA cup! Diddlediddleediddleduuuum. Right, it starts to get a bit serious now, fifth round is a lot of money to lose. So, take a look at this one, at see what you think-remember you don`t have to play and you still have two lifelines left. Ok, for a fifth round win , can you beat Burnley, away? (Puts head in hands)Oh no, I don`y beleive it! I knew this one would come up! Do you want to play? Don`t forget you still have phone a friend and ask the audience. (brief pause) I`ll ask the audience. OK audience, pressures on, vote now on Burnley or Blackburn. Tick, tock, tick, tock ,tick, tock..... OK the answers are in and the crowd have responded superbly with a unanimous answer of ROVERS win!!! I`ll go with that! Congratulations, you`ve just won a quarter final spot in the fifth round of the FA cup!!! Diddlediddleediddleduuuum. BUZZZZZZZ! OH NO thats all we have time for tonight, join us again when we play... WHO WANTS TO WIN THE FA CUP!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. I know TB, thats whom I was purrleese-ing at! They reckon only 300 odd Rovers fans yesterday, it certainly looked a low turn out. There were also a lot of empty seats in the home ends too. After the goal our lot were very loud though.
  18. I little bloodied, but mashed?-purleease Eddie, I was speaking metaphorically!
  19. In fact here`s the proof! When skies are grey
  20. Viewed the game from the "posh" seats in the main stand, diagonally opposite the Rovers gathering. Pre match meal in the Alex Young suite, with err, Alex Young and Brian Labone. Sat amongst the Everton fans, as the Brown Brothers Cab Sauv Malbec kicked in I found it harder and harder to keep quiet, leading to a hard punch in my face, just as Stead scored! If you watch the replay , from the camera right near the Rovers fans, you can see the coppers yellow jackets in the stand breaking us up! As we were dragged down the steps, I put my fingers in the 1-0 mode as I wailed off to get bollocking for being punched. Got my seat back and no-one else bothered me after that.
  21. Anybody able to give me and a mate a lift back from Everton to Chorley area after the match? Trains a nightmare, but don`t mind going, just getting home is a worry.
