Happy birthday Faz
AllRoverAsia replied to simongarnerisgod's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Met them and all the team in the dressing room pre match v Carlisle in 1984, all had the time to chat, photos etc etc. Good days. -
So he told 3 players hes offered contracts to that they are not good enough for the PL and neither are Rovers? I'm not saying he's actually wrong on that but coming from a CEO conman I would be inclined to tell the shyster to fuck off. As if that cretin knows anything about football. FFS I hope he reads this Forum. I also read your big dick post. I have one too.
-
Now I have my rational hat on I think you and Jim are correct with that. I absolutely believe Michael Vaughan and his character with fight this.
-
On one guy and his buddy? FFS. Where's the evidence??? We shall see. Vaughan will not roll over. I am fucking sick of this guilty until proven innocent shit. But crack on and love it.
-
Yes I agree. I just don't like pre judgement based on hearsay.
-
An impossibility with the BBC that is certain. I think he's busy with his Lawyers anyway.
-
20 if you include his starter club, Orient. Whatever the number is its a lot! LoL
-
Chris Gayle retires from T20i. What a star. DJ Bravo too. I'm glad that I am watching it.
-
Lets see how soon he is reinstated. This will run awhile.
-
Yes its 20 clubs, I think 17 different ones.
-
Now at his 16th different club over a 10 year period. He has never again reached the heights of that 'tackle' for which no known proof exists apart from the words od charlatans and spivs. His bought for football career will look good on his CV in whatever shady side of football comes next.
-
I see that the BBC have passed a guilty sentence on Michael Vaughan. I hope he takes his detractors to court. I believe Vaughan.
-
The upside of the spivs advice is that we do still have a decent academy which despite Mowbrays utterings does produce. Thank God we do or else how would we field a team? It seems to me that Mowbray has over time decided to follow the youth route to satisfy his paymasters, add a paragraph to his CV and faced with the only option his hand forced. Sadly he prefers to develop the youth of PL teams, often at our detriment on field, but hell it looks good to tell the Vs and any future employers that you are mates with Klopp & Bielsa.
-
I've seen £1.2 million quoted. Wolves were cash rich and Lambert rated him so not too difficult to get a decent fee out of them at that time.
-
Yes I've seen that interview with Ryan, he was plainly upset at the devious way his Rovers departure was handled. A shameful part of our history. Venkys are good at that.

Doesn't feel like a Saturday matchday to me at all, I actually checked my PC calendar to make sure. Im putting it down to the 0-7 and its aftermath for a disturbance in the time temporal framework. Anyway 2 sides close together in points but SU with a better manager. Rovers at home so hoping for a win. I hope also that those taking their kids and family to their first Ewood experience have a great time and that it stays dry. I also hope our managers advice to fans to argue amongst themselves does not lead to violence in the stands. What a silly, silly specimen he is.
-
100% I was never in favour of him, why go for a manager with 2 abject and well publicised failures as the most recent entries on his CV? His comments after coming 2nd in Division Three in which he belittled the title and those who won it show him for the pathetic creature he is. He could have just taken it on the 'chin' and kept his motormouth shut but, no, he cant help running the motor. He got quite a bit of support for that stance, even on here .............

As recently as July 2020 Mowbray was, again, somewhat negative about the cost/ benefit of the Academy and said: “I think the academy is something that Blackburn Rovers keep investing a lot of money in every year and we have to see the output of that, otherwise why would you invest £3.5m on an academy and nothing ever comes through? “You might as well put that money in to the first-team squad." "The academy at this football club has got to have a huge impact, whether it’s had that over the years, I’m not sure. “Phil Jones still gets referred to, that’s a long time ago, but there’s an investment that paid off." Thing is his BS spiel goes all over the place depending on how the wind is blowing, the most recent constant has been Journey and now youth development. Edit: and yet we still have SM and FB fan-boys who deny and attack those who post truth. What a weird world this is inhabited by such wankers.

I used to keep a library of LT bookmarks of Mowbray BS, but it got too big and was doing head in so binned off the lot months ago. I also remember it very well. I have tried to avoid his BS but the most recent is him going too far.

Spot on! Once he realised Vs were not that interested in promotion to the PL he quickly rebranded himself as at the forefront of youth development. Apart from when a nice property development chance comes along. And yet 1000s fall for the con.
