  1. I played on pitches with plenty of 'Field Tilt', plus cow and sheep shit.
  2. @rog of the rovers Thank you, a superb preview. Even though he played for others Currie was a great player/entertainer. I saw him score a cracker at Everton's Gladys Rd End years back.
  3. We could/should be 5-0 up. Aus 4 down after 10!
  4. Rovers on the PC monitor, England v Aus on the phone. Doesn't get much better ....... at least at start of play/KO ......
  5. We have 20 points, Derby 17 before deduction. Derby draw specialists, we have a few too. Hope to win, expect 1-1
  6. For those who prefer truth the opposite actually happened http://european-football-statistics.co.uk/attnclub/league/blar.htm
  7. If the reading of McCarthy's veiled opinion is accurate then surely a man of open and honest integrity could not (continue) to work on behalf of chicken shit. So he's only in it for the money? I can accept that oddly enough. I will not go too deep into the EFL Managers Lunch Club, the second rater to the PL version of chancers meeting up for a bevvy and to compare their bank balances.
  8. I think the UK blinds itself to how racist (etc etc) many other countries are and are not changing anytime soon. I do however respect de Cocks right to exercise his own freedom of thought, even though many will find it offensive. The day that goes, well, we are fucked.
  9. I agree with you. A fully fit squad gives us a team that is maybe only behind WBA, Fulham and that shower who have a low attendance and will always have unless the break into the retiree market. What we have as a negative need not be said again.
  10. Snap! We got to see the 2 best teams that Rovers ever put together, '63 and '95. I'll add Saxton and Mackay to the managers list of guys who did fine on a feck all budget. I hope I live to see the door bang Mowbray and Waggott on the arse as the scuttle off to ruin some other club. It took Cov a while to recover from the M& w effect but they look a tidy enough outfit. I thought we bossed the 1st half today despite Coventry shading possession. By the end I was thankful for a point. Rothwell is class, which we do not have much of. Gallagher had a decent 1st half but went south after that. Ayala a man mountain. The 'Glue'. I hope he stays fit.
  11. Get real. And shut it.
  12. Yes. BBD is striking the ball well.
  13. BBD can only deal with whats in front, his job was to get a decent shot on target and he did that well. I do not think much of a lot of the South American keepers.
  14. Sorry to piss on the party. A crouching 5'9'' keeper.......
  15. This real football 'gap' gave me the chance to catch up with the now much televised female version of the game and the International games. I did get round to watching England and the WC highlights.
  16. Diaz v Gyökeres shootout. We must stop Gyökeres. A powerful striker who has scored more in open play than BBD. Cov are without Godden, he's taken a dive.
  17. And over the years 1000's of Brits have gone there to make a good living in many fields, I met one guy who tripped there to sell musical instruments. However the trade created overall over the years has brought many Billions of ££££ into 'Britain' and we know what speaks loudest. They are an extended family regime propped up by the US and ... US, to name but 2.
  18. Not if they get the right faces to front them. They would probably go 'male' though.
  19. We seem quite keen to flog military arms to them. But that's £££££££££ into Britain's pocket, well England's really. Been quite a few ££££ over the many many many years that it's been done, and still is. That's without mentioning the major construction projects. Now though we are upset by them buying Toon. There's a lot of fake denial doing the rounds
  20. I think that the American holdings are now in the majority, somewhat hidden behind a Delaware LP and LLC.
  21. Chile comfortably won the possession and passes stats but offered next to nothing in attack. Slow passing game that lacked accuracy the odd time they tried a long ball. I would have hooked Sanchez, useless and a pale shadow of a great player. BBD has emerged on the Chile scene at a difficult time with the side needing quite major change. It will be interesting to see how this evolves. As always BBD's endeavour could not be faulted and playing as a front player in the current setup is a hard chore. How the hell did that Peru player escape a card near the end. A more deliberate savage kick would be hard to find.
  22. Some time ago I bookmarked Mowbray in the LT etc etc telling what were initially obvious or turned out to be porkies. I gave up, there were just too many and they needed indexing, which was a step too far. I don't comment much on him these days. There is feck all I can do and I just want him gone and his cronies. FOV.
  23. The other side of the world and I'll be ready for the 8am (Bkk time) ko. The following 2 games in Chile are 7am here. No doubt the Chile experience and his reception there has been a great confidence booster to BBD. I wasn't at all impressed by him, tbh the opposite, prior the him joining Chile - it has changed him for the better.
