  1. Now onto Pony Express 1953 with Charlton Heston. Great cinematography and been a fan of westerns since a young kid using the sofa arm for a horse. Lol
  2. Absolutely nothing in football surprises me anymore. I had to work for a living, I was in Oman for my Daughters birth and Yemen for the birth of one of my Sons. I wish I had been a footballer.
  3. Talking about exhumations, this afternoon I've watched Hiawatha (1952), Gunsmoke (Audie Murphy 1953) and now halfway through Last of the Comanches (1953) from my 2 TB Western collection but still be on here too much.
  4. He was with us under Coco and the Chokers, Id give him a break for that as I would anyone who bailed at that time
  5. I think the worm has already turned TM: "We have been working really hard all summer to try and identify positions, I feel sometimes there is people out there that have all the answers. They know all the players to sign and ‘why haven’t we strengthened here and why haven’t we done that?’ If it was as easy as that we would all do it. It is not as easy as that."
  6. Spot on! I meant to include Amari but pressed SAVE too quickly ?
  7. Played just 7 times in the past 20 months. Is he injured?
  8. What Mowbray should have said : "With total respect to Charlie Mulgrew and Elliott Bennett at this moment their careers we are not going to beat the top teams in the league with Charlie and Elliott in our team"
  9. Mowbray just can't help the foot in mouth approach. Real confidence-boosting man management from My Nice Guy.
  10. I am pleased that "Old Blackburnian’s View" is now a regular feature on the MB. Always a sensible and entertaining read.
  11. Pathetic from Mowbray, just plain Goddamn pathetic
  12. "We’ll see what this afternoon brings.” Its the old 3 chances routine - Fat, Slim and No.
  13. I sort of half expect a face-saver, the sort that never or hardly ever gets game time. The sort that gives the impression of trying.
  14. So a CB too, things are looking up
  15. A Facebook rumour that we are in for the Korean midfielder Fu-Ken Nowan
  16. There's always a chance you'll get one right so I hope you enjoy the wine in a nice Indian summer in September.
  17. I know you have for a long time but I'm pleased that others get what has happened at Manager level and at his appointees level within the corridors of power at Ewood. Mowbray is safe for as long as he wants the job. It is in line with an article that appeared at the time of Mowbrays appointed on how to takeover and run a Club in hard times without paying a Penny. Written by or about some Academic, I'll try and look for it.
  18. More likely Waggott told TM to keep his gob shut as a damage limitation exercise. Meanwhile waiting for something, anything, to 'pop' up
  19. Is there now a spare bed at the Brockhall Retirement Home?
  20. Potentially losing our No 1 striker, No 1 keeper, and a good CB - if nothing else it will force Mowbray to rebuild the spine. I do not think he is up to that task. Out of contract at end of this season: Danny Graham, Downing, Leutwiler, Smallwood, Amari’i Bell, and Dominic Samuel I've a gut feeling that this may be DGs swansong season as a major force at Rovers so BB and Gallagher better really develop. Leutwiler, Smallwood, Amari’i Bell, and Dominic Samuel could get a Taxi now.
  21. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17820029.rovers-chief-demands-expectations-owners-venkys/ Waggot, an example: “I think there is a feeling now that we are really starting to build and gather some impetus into what we are doing. “Players are buying into it and seeing the adjustments. They are getting a new recreation room, and now have a new viewing gallery for the Academy.” I feel so much better ..........
  22. Well, that's us for a Mitrovicing.
