  1. This is a tremendous addition to the MB and an excellent way of preserving our history in an easily accessible way. I look forward to the archive building up on the MB and thanks all those involved in this fine work.
  2. I am glad I got to see that innings by Morgan! Good to see Moeen get a few great shots in at the end too.
  3. The man got Rovers, me and 30,000 other Rovers fans a day out at Wembley and a win. A day never to be forgotten and I'm so grateful to him. Mackay and Saxton, my 2 all-time favourite managers, both massively underfunded.
  4. Good point as I come from a family with diabetes in its history. One of the reasons I have not taken sugar in tea or coffee for 50 years. I'm careful too of the local diet which is sugar laced in lots of dishes. Doesn't exonerate Betting thieves though.
  5. I wonder if the tie-up is that Morrisons have a quite recent deal, signed last year, to supply their own brand products to the Big C chain of stores in Thailand. I believe it's one of Morrisons first international ventures. I have never drunk a Carabao product either but like the Band (Carabao) and Beer House group (Tawangdang) that gave them their name.
  6. Your problem seems to be with the Sponsors or is it with the draw being in a Shop? Carabao Tawangdang Co is very successful at what they do so why favour their rivals, which of course won't happen during the draw. Seems a bit petty to me. I'd rather have an energy drink as a sponsor than yet another Betting Co.
  7. I hope things work out well for Bolton and Blackpool. Their fans have suffered for years so to now have new hope must be so encouraging. Meanwhile, we are stuck in the Venky SSDD Vortex
  8. Clarity is what I was seeking, as Nuttall has been at the Club longer it's not a surprise. The really relevant one is when they are both at the Club and I would expect Brereton to get more game time at Rovers than Nuttall next season, who will possibly be away on loan anyway if we buy a CF.
  9. You are correct. Brereton played in more games than Nuttall, 25 v 15, and had a lot more time on the field comparatively speaking. To say otherwise is as accurate as other posters saying all he had were a few 10 mins.
  10. Reading what Mowbray says it is clear that money was available all summer, not spent on Fees as we could not meet wage demands and then spunked on one player rather than maybe lose it. When that player fails to make the grade from the start he becomes one for the future. Hell, I could feck up like that! I wonder who tipped Mowbray off on Brereton as he would not have been researched, as others have stated. I do remember reading something about this is a well-known Blog ......
  11. Brereton in the 2018/19 Season made 25 appearances, 4 starts. 15 sub appearances were of more than 20 minutes and of those 10 were 30 minutes or longer. It was NOT just a few 10 minute appearances.
  12. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17703350.could-rovers-match-ben-brereton-fee-this-summer/ Better late than never. A year after the event Mowbray tells his current story on the Brereton signing. I can't take much more hogwash.
  13. I had also 'bought' into the no helmet story and pleased to learn he was. A class player and lad.
  14. I found that an odd comment as it was Mowbray who was happy to spend the wages on someone not expected to actually play much but is 'nice' and was his fly on the wall in the dressing room. Tony would be suited to running a Rest Home.
  15. In the 2018/19 Championship Season, Brereton had more appearances than Nuttall and played more minutes, both players usually used as subs. Nuttall scored 2, Brereton 1
  16. So what are the exact intricate details of the Brereton purchase. How much did we pay up front, what balance remains payable over what term, what are the add-ons, what was the Agent's fee, who was the Agent etc etc etc. You and others dismiss the Fee, 6 or 7 million, that has been in the public domain for ages - so what was it and its terms?
  17. Mowbray - “As I’ve said to them, what is the expectation?" What was the answer Tony?
  18. I just let the claptrap wash past me these days, it's a coping mechanism. He's got his feet well under the table, schooling fees looking safe. I hope Dack doesn't read that article.
  19. I think the commentator has got his ground layout wrong. At the time of this match, the main stand at Ewood Park backed on to the River with 2 separate smaller stands on the Nuttall Street side.
  20. A wonderful group which I joined soon after it appeared. They have I think 16 photos of the 7-2 win over Spurs and numerous others of great interest. Some good Rovers photos of times gone bye have also recently appeared in "TheRovers'' Facebook group.
  21. I think you mean 'very top' in the case of Dunn, he did play at PL and England levels. Le Tissier was just brilliant, loyal to Soton and managed by fools at England level.
  22. Interesting looking at the videos to see how the blue changes sides in different years but always reversed on the back. Due to the colour clash, we played in an all dark blue shirt in the 1928 FA Cup Final. Both teams wore Knickers......
