  1. After we win today it becomes the shirt to lose so get prepared for Bennett to be a starter for the foreseeable. Downing too. Rothwell and Nyambe should be on to their agents.
  2. Agree on that switch. Any pain Tony may feel re Evans and Smallwood is mitigated by including Downing
  3. Walton Bennett Lenihan Mulgrew downing Travis Johnson Armstrong Dack Gallagher Graham
  4. I will be a bit shocked if Smallwood is even on the bench
  5. Nyambe out, Bennett in and Bell out Downing in. Not my choice but what I think TM will do. Bennett is a TM starter and TM said Downing could do a job down the left against 'weaker' sides.
  6. Yes, its good for the kids for sure so an animal mascot makes a lot of sense. You cant snuggle a boiler but at least you can eat a pie so the Mascot at Wigan might be in for a tough Season.
  7. FFS Ali you stupid fecker and Bairstow believes his own hype
  8. Made me laugh. I like it! Are we still that forlorn-looking pooch?
  9. That article is so typical of Mowbray. Fans expect too much, too soon and nevermind that almost every player interview preseason has targeted playoffs. Makes me wonder where our hopes rather than expectations come from.
  10. Pre Season start 'Pep' talk: https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17813545.mowbrays-rovers-aims-ahead-third-season-charge/
  11. I smiled when heard it pronounced Slew-ga, he moves like I was pronouncing it.
  12. Jonny Wilkinson would have been proud of that one, so much height when so near.
  13. What an enjoyable watch. I was up late for the Test match so gambled on staying awake for this and glad I did. Championship officials are pants. Luton will be a test for anyone at home, let's see how they travel. They would have won today if not for their keeper and the Ref
  14. Not seen an innings like that one from Burns since Boycott but how good it was for us. 125 Runs in 401 minutes off 282 balls, bloody lovely. We need an opener who can do that 'dirty' work. He should just try and bat for as long as possible tomorrow, knock runs whenever he can but focus on staying in and let Stokes go for it. Bairstow still to come, Ali must be due a score too and Woakes and Broad can do a bit with the bat. If Burns stays in we will post a good score and lead .
  15. I hope we do go for it from early on, that interview would indicate an affirmative. I'm sure I read a Mowbray interview some time ago that said he decided on the team the day before but then slept on it so announcing to the players on Matchday morning, which is soon enough
  16. This will help a guess: "While Addicks boss Lee Bowyer thinks now might be a good time for Rovers to play his side, it’s not a view Mowbray prescribes to."
  17. Comes across as quite a well balanced WBA fan view https://roverschat.com/the-verdict-west-bromwich-albion-supporter-tells-us-all-about-rovers-new-signing-tosin-adarabioyo/ "Most of his football at the Albion was at right-back. Whilst putting in some solid performances, it was never a position which he looked comfortable in – especially when required to provide width going forwards. His best performances will no doubt come at center half alongside a steady, solid, no-nonsense defender alongside him. I do see traits of him being a good defensive midfielder however as opposed to a center-half" So whilst he has played in the Championship he is to quite an extent untested as a CB at this level.
  18. And I don't care how we play as long as we win. Hoofball, tippy-tappy, whatever brings a win. Spunk and bottle help a lot.
  19. Get a BSH CB and maybe we could be "A dark horse which had never been thought of, and which the careless St. James had never even observed in the list, rushed past the grandstand in sweeping triumph."
  20. I see Pattinson is a traditional Aussy fast bowler. Loud and foul-mouthed, arrogant, sheep shagging inbred who can bowl a bit.
  21. Good that Tosin has put his cards on the table, and from what I've read Mowbray agrees
  22. I watched it on B&W TV with my Dad, a great game. You got to see Bobby Charlton, live, scoring with a header! That's a collector's item. I remember jumping up and down in front of the Telly when Best waltzed through and scored. Some memories (note the "tackles" on Best early on):
  23. Surely you got a notification explaining why that you had to acknowledge? I did.
