  1. Mowbray has done an early decent job of covering most bases for any hiccup, including a classic "“We were playing in League One last year with that team": https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/rovers/news/17362638.extra-time-defeat-worst-case-scenario-for-rovers-boss/
  2. Good advice above. For sure contact the Rovers Community Trust http://www.brfctrust.co.uk/Community/staff Survey done - tick.
  3. Joe in Team of the Week at whoscored.com, which is statistically based.
  4. A well worn myth. Of the top of my head Conway, Graham and Bennett all arrived at Rovers during January windows. They surely are of some note. There will be plenty more examples at most Clubs. It just comes down to the quality of the scouting and recruitment department. If we are now just in for 2/3 loans it explains why Waggot and Mowbray's Pune trip was rightly cancelled as pointless. As others have said if a club is not continuously looking to improve it's squad then it will start to regress. I hope Mowbray's continuous talk of loyalty to the squad is for the players ears to protect their fragile egos and that in reality he actually does have a masterplan. One can hope.
  5. Millwall had 2 reasonable shots that Raya saved quite easily. Millwall played hoofball to a level Rovers have yet to attain. Thank God. Nuttall had perhaps his best performance yet, work hard all game and running strong until the end. He put a good shift in and put himself about. His goal was no fluke as some have said. A strikers instinct got him to read the situation and get in the best position to benefit. The ball could just as easily have hit his foot and gone straight into the net. Both our goals are superbly worked and Armstrong delivered in this game. An awful game overall. Great result. The Millwall fans sounded like a herd of cows come milking time.
  6. They beat a poor weak Derby side but did have a good goal wrongly disallowed and at least 1, maybe 2, decent penalty shouts turned down. Leeds by far the better team throughout the game. Scott Carson played well for Leeds and had an assist in both goals ...... oh hang on a minute ........ Derby's best effort was the penalty they should have been awarded when the Leeds keeper deliberately put his foot/studs into a Derby face and was not even spoken to.
  7. If Leeds go up or if they don't they will remain a club who have never won the PL and never will, just like their Yorkshire neighbours the Dingles, with whom they share their sheep.
  8. They were good to watch, dirtier than most at a time all teams had some hard men Leeds just had a lot who were also fine footballers. I never forgave Hunter when playing for England for missing that tackle out the wing that preceded a Polish goal, greatly aided it must be said to a pathetic attempt to save by Shilton. Revie - Until doing a runner dressed as an Arab, lol
  9. Fact is that Leeds have been a lowlife club since the Revie era put cheating into their DNA. Anyone in doubt go to youtube and search Sprake, Leeds, Revie.
  10. It will be interesting to see what approach the football authorities take in SpyFoot with the club who are/were at the forefront of ripping the Championship and hence the EFL apart. Is there any actual rule against clubs 'spying' or is it just some sort of Gentleman's agreement?, if the latter this would absolve Bielsa, the club and their fans surely.
  11. I respect your honesty. Well at least no reports of stuffed brown envelopes, probably would have to use wheelbarrows these days. I wonder whose house Leeds rented for a week at Brockhall? Derby were pants last night and your Keeper should have been red carded and Derby awarded a penalty.
  12. More like 130, can you imagine the size of the multi-quote needed to get back up to speed.
  13. Me too. Marshall became a victim of the then favourite excuse "head turned", in the rush to sell him.
  14. Chelsea annoyed at the lack of revenue as the deal produced more from starts. We paid a very small portion of his wage.
  15. Including beating Reading and Ipswich in the league and just getting past, at home in the Cup, a Hull side that had made 8 changes from their usual lineup. Millwall made just 2 to their usual start team lineup. Millwall's 4 wins on the bounce is admirable but must be viewed in context of their oponents. I have no idea when we last won 4 on the bounce at any level, but I know we have recently done very well to avoid losing 4 on the bounce in the league. Millwall are to be respected but not feared and we are good enough to win, I suspect however that a score draw will be the result, 1-1
  16. 3 wins on the bounce in the Championship, at home to Reading & Forest and away to Ipswich. Ok Forest are decent enough.....
  17. I am not sure if there is an actual rule, having looked but unable to find. £10 is the minimum that can be charged, excluding concessions. Away fans can only be charged more if both Clubs agree. So good work by both Clubs on ticket pricing.
  18. The date for the Cup replay is not yet set in stone. We should know soon what TV decides.
  19. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rafa-benitez-claims-blackburn-rovers-15636792 The Fat Scouser Waiter plastic Geordie having a bit of a nicker twist. Arrogant Diva.
  20. Tom Cairney, words almost fail me. He doesn't even dive this time, he slowly sits down in stages in the penalty area and VAR awards a penalty. Thank God Fulham missed it and justice served. ok maybe there was the faintest of contact but never ever enough for a penalty. It's become a game for "x", ... A major problem with VAR is that humans are still involved on the decision making process. Well done Oldham on giving another over arrogant PL club a blackeye.
  21. His legs are faster than his brain. Runs into trouble, shoots from impossible angles and forgets it's a team game. A frustrating player but if what he tries works he looks like a top player with a deadly finish, problem being it rarely works at Championship level. The above is re AA, with BB I am still coming to terms with his Quasimodo impressions when preparing for an aerial challenge for the ball or is it bells.
