  1. "The frustration watching the goal back is 10 seconds before we are breaking two-on-two on the halfway line but we made a bad decision and then 10 seconds later it’s in the back of our net." Have another look TM. A Rovers defender, looked like Lenihan or Smallwood, had a chance to clear, played a short pass, intercepted, and 2 fecking seconds later the ball was in the net. Brereton's earlier effort was pathetic but not main cause. That article is quite a decent buck passing effort by Mowbray.
  2. Yes and on Sky Red Button, so should be available via alternative means too.
  3. Rovers statement "Only a few hundred of Rovers' 2,500 away allocation remain available for the festive fixture." "they are all liars damn" ??
  4. You have no idea what Rovers budget is. Neither do I. Neither does Mowbray who within the past week said he did not know if we were buying or loaning in January.
  5. 70s Rock music, bring it on Have been looking at John's website and novels, never read him so will give it a go.
  6. If I was in Turkey and maybe vulnerable I would pay to get out peacefully too.
  7. Mirrors my day except that I ended up on a radio stream and a Brum one at that. To be fair they were good radio commentators who also updated on a lot of other games too. From that commentary Small Heath were on the front foot much more after DG went off and upped it again post penalty. Bell and Lenihan were mentioned a lot, usually after poor passes or tackles.
  8. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17299953.rovers-boss-on-inherited-players-and-sam-gallagher-links/?ref=mac Mowbray: "Let’s see how much we have to spend in January, whether we are going down the loan route or looking to sign some permanent players.” I suppose it all depends how you want to spin that. He also says his attention is on upcoming games and not the window, sensible, imo, if we do have a recruitment department doing that for him. Personally I await confirmation that at least some cash has changed hands re the Brereton purchase, on 1st Jan or very soon thereafter. The reason for the Kasey loan being terminated will also be of interest, if it happens. Meanwhile I don't read the Sin or give a shit what Nixon says.
  9. Vince O'Keefe started his career at his home town club. A hero for us in the Full Members win.
  10. You can win, just put in a sarcasm/wtf type emojii.
  11. Has the window opened already? I can't wait, really, for Ben to succeed and see what all the SOOOO excitement is all about. Venus was hardly going to say anything else now was he. I saw Ben a few times for Forest and England and am on record on this MB as saying he looks decent. I genuinely hope he succeeds, he drives us to the PL and if sold brings in loads of £ This thread will still be here when Ben's Rovers contract is distant history, always interesting looking back.... Finally like Christmas preparations this all starts too early, it far too early for the bi-annual "Mani Willy Waving" contest.
  12. He does that to irritate others and give the finger to the Mods, who don't actually give a shit either.
  13. Evans did that for Northern Ireland in his most recent games, Mowbray picked up the idea from there I think.
  14. For clarity I "laughed" at your original post , and it was not sarcasm, which for the Mods/IT guys benefit looks more like this or similar
  15. Reed - " keep him under the radar", and constantly big him up in the LT etc. Let me work that one out. Anyway Soton will be well aware of Reed's performances each week. All Clubs have access to video of all games. Palmer - have we not paid something? Maybe an appearance based fee. Brinkmanship at play.
  16. "It is easy in recent times to forget about the likes of Jerome Anderson, Steve Kean, Henning Berg, Michael Appleton, Paul Senior, Shebby Singh, Kentaro" Very harsh to put Berg, Appleton and Senior in that shit list. Berg and Appleton were victims of appaling top table management at the Club set up by Venkys. They proved to be very poor managers but what chance did they really have. i called Paul Senior out a lot but history shows he sacked Coyle and was the man who choose Mowbray so now gets a break from me.
  17. The thing is they have now returned to Ewood. The 3 Chickens in Pune, being too frightened themselves, have done it by an unannounced visit by Bling's son, publicity after the event. As far as the Rao's are concerned it's job done, face saved. There will never be a formal apology ..... never never ever. The son showing up is depressing, this could run and run and see my days out. I voted hostile but would not, at present, be abusive if they were to show up. In my case what is the point of swearing at a TV, although I've done it plenty of times in days past. Every time I think of Rovers I can't help but think of the Rao's. I wish I could exorcise those demons. I have never and never will buy into the "innocent and misled" theory. They lied from day one.
  18. Thanks. I will take a look at Transfermkt, from what you say it appears much more accurate
  19. Net spend £29m according to Transfer League. https://www.transferleague.co.uk/blackburn-rovers/english-football-teams/blackburn-rovers-transfers Tbf under the Trust we did buy Grella for £4m FFS !!!
  20. After conning the fans re Ryan's fitness/injury concerns the Club gave him to Spurs, January deadline day, getting shut of his wage and a strong character in the dressing room. Others went the sane way, a bit of a Venky culling.
  21. Followed by Kalinic £6 million and Samba £12.3 million. Transfer fees showed a profit of £29 million that season. I recall queries about how and where the Samba Russian money was paid but forget the storyline.
  22. Do you listen to Top Flight Time Machine pod? Just finished their take of Roy's second book. Hilarious I actually hope Mick improves RoI, always had a liking for them since Brady.
  23. Your reappointment of the Englishman, McCarthy, as manager will use his EFL player knowledge when checking ancient history of players for any vague Irish connection. A mate said a liking for Guinness is enough to get a game these days.
