  1. Good point, I should have written "better squad apart from Lowe". Thought Hanley was decent Championship.
  2. Yes it was Bowyer, no chance for a 6'3" left footed CB or LB. To be fair Bowyer was decent at recruitment and those were different days with a better squad.
  3. Tend to agree. Nothing working for Salah at the moment and Klopp starting to look a wee bit tense. Edit: predictive tense had it as Sarah and Loop
  4. Hells Bells, I'd just come to terms with the one chance rule! The no attackers in the wall will produce some interesting tactics and maybe more goals from direct free kicks.
  5. Good riddance to the old system where your best players could be gone at anytime. Under that system we would have been under constant pressure of losing Dack, well until recently that is.
  6. We're we 11 points ahead of Preston at one stage this season? Perhaps it was around the time they proceeded to thrash us. No time for Preston, scarred by 2 incidents when a teenager visiting Blackburn on holiday to follow Rovers. One a mugging late at night on Preston New Rd when walking to my Grans from the Station.
  7. You still can, in the Summer and January transfer windows. Mowbray says he's had owners backing in all 4 windows so far and it's been his decision not to spend at times. Plenty on here were pointing out our weaknesses on a regular basis. One excuse after another.
  8. It's sooooo nice being one of the correct ones, or should I say Quarters ? For the oldies who have lost memory function and in some cases the ability to read and the younger who don't know anyway: https://spartacus-educational.com/Fblackburn.htm
  9. I know I'm right from a historical perspective. No one is denying that the Rovers kit design is called halves and Bristol Rovers quarters by most, including me.
  10. Not sure now ? Edit: Steele it was, looked on YouTube, what a cracking goal. Sorry Raya, have to take that back.
  11. Prior to their 2nd goal we had got back into the game quite well, Rothwell on field helping. Then in quick succession Raya make 2 dropkick clearances as bad as you would see at the lowest level of football possible. Mowbray called them pathetic. Both put Rotherham on the attack, the second one a skyer, never reached the centre circle and was taken by Rotherham without a fight, chipped into our box for the Raya and Bell comedy act. Even at School I played with keepers who could clear their lines better than Raya. His kicking or a large proportion of it is useless. The Emnes one was a fluke.
  12. We play in quarters and Bristol Rovers in eighths. The number of pieces of cloth needed to be stitched together to make the body of the shirt, in times gone by. Laziness and changes in language usage and kit manufacture result in ours being commonly referred to as halves and Bristol Rovers as quarters. I have no problem with ours being referred to as halves, I do have serious issue with this year's insipid colour scheme.
  13. I want it to go to Liverpool. I do however think that the most corrupt organisation ever seen in football will once again succeed and so Citeh, one of their trade names, for the title.
  14. Raya needs proper coaching. It's not all in a text book. If Mowbray had bought a decent keeper as backup and not just a day off card then maybe Raya would have had someone to challenge him. He's had it far too easy, to his detriment.
  15. Yes, it's the waters fault ?
  16. No chance. Simply not in Mowbray's style to play without weeks on the bench.
  17. My favourite time following Rovers spans the Simon Garner period and the Managers, other players involved. The best Rovers team I saw was way back in 63/64.
  18. That team is worth a go. Dack is playing like a player who knows a transfer is definitely on in the Summer, or one who is completely shagged out including too many nights on the tiles.
  19. With relegation and a running transfer window to menial duties like holding a flag for no apparent reason.
  20. NI must have some friendlies coming up.
  21. It is no excuse for our display but like @Fraserkirky says that ref was appalling. I often wonder what they think of their performance when watching a match replay, which I assume most do to satisfy their ego's.
  22. Thanks. Had a Google and yes, in mid December he signed a new 2..5 year deal, so he's on contract until 30th June 2021.
