  1. Thanks. I will take a look at Transfermkt, from what you say it appears much more accurate
  2. Net spend £29m according to Transfer League. https://www.transferleague.co.uk/blackburn-rovers/english-football-teams/blackburn-rovers-transfers Tbf under the Trust we did buy Grella for £4m FFS !!!
  3. After conning the fans re Ryan's fitness/injury concerns the Club gave him to Spurs, January deadline day, getting shut of his wage and a strong character in the dressing room. Others went the sane way, a bit of a Venky culling.
  4. Followed by Kalinic £6 million and Samba £12.3 million. Transfer fees showed a profit of £29 million that season. I recall queries about how and where the Samba Russian money was paid but forget the storyline.
  5. Do you listen to Top Flight Time Machine pod? Just finished their take of Roy's second book. Hilarious I actually hope Mick improves RoI, always had a liking for them since Brady.
  6. Your reappointment of the Englishman, McCarthy, as manager will use his EFL player knowledge when checking ancient history of players for any vague Irish connection. A mate said a liking for Guinness is enough to get a game these days.
  7. I like watching the extended highlights where you can see the moves evolve and not just the goals. Many Clubs put them on Youtube, not Rovers though. With Rovers they can be accessed for free via the IFollow app even using a Free Pass account. I saw that Bannan reaction somewhere. He got tangled with Raya when they both slid into the net. Fiesty red haired Scot, good player though.
  8. Rovers make the short version no commentary highlights available via youtube but not the extended version. However on the iFollow app if you have say a Free Pass account, I sometimes buy a Matchday Pass through mine, the Extended highlights, historical too, are available but you have to be currently subscribed to watch the short version ..odd that.
  9. Extended highlights courtesy of the Owls with decent commentary. Enjoy. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Ivd9YDGz2eE&t=200s
  10. The Survivor song lyrics appear to suit the Dingle model but the Dingle problems are much more basic at player recruitment level. Dyche has found it increasing difficult to find players able to reverse their ears when taking the field of play who also have an eye-like spot on the back of the ear, "the eye of the tiger". Most of the population of Burnley can quite easily reverse their ears but the 'spot' is disappearing over time. This has meant Dyche has recruited mainly British players with a bloodline connection to Burnley who can also play a bit of football. He is fishing in a very small gene pool.
  11. Too bloody true! The one from Dack's shot that hit the post and rebounded at high speed was a brilliant reaction and strike by DG, top class.
  12. I watched the SW game live via a good stream. Single and good English commentary with multiple camera angles and replays. Today a Sheff Utd supporting pal texted to congratulate and said he'd also watched the game live on local cable tv in Chiang Mai which had also shown SU v Leeds the previous day. Apparently this channel shows lots of the Championship and not only those from Sky. I suspect he got a local commentary though.
  13. Living abroad I am obviously out of sync with what is and isn't PC correct in the UK, that fucking bastion of virtue. TBH I thought the 4 letter word was the baddy.
  14. Mowbray did say back to basics so I'm not suprised at this. Fingers crossed.
  15. Sheff Utd should have had 2 sent off already by halftime. Then linesman misses a clear offside but fortunately Sharpe, he was offside, misses a good chance. Meanwhile a Leeds player booked for SFA. A miracle if Leeds get anything against a 13 man team. And I have little time for f'ing Leeds but this is atrocious by the officials.
  16. Excellent podcast. Post Wigan you would have needed a Klaxon, not a Bleeper. Bill Arthur, Mr. Radio Voice, is a great listen. I also do not understand the relevance of the Podcast title, a couple of small bits of the Pod were difficult for me to hear properly so I think I missed something.
  17. No I do not ask you remove it. You are forced to use it due to lack of an alternative. There are plenty of emoji that the MB could make available for such use. At the moment the use of the laughter button by anyone makes me question why it has been used. That should not be a question.
  18. Chaddy has bastardised and demeaned the 'laughter' button yet again for the upteenth time and been allowed to do so. I am tired of this irritating shit.
  19. Towards the end of the article https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/17262812.wigan-athletic-3-blackburn-rovers-1-tony-mowbray-reaction/?ref=mac
  20. Yes. Rodwell is likely to be a victim of Mowbray's desire to reinvent players. I understand Mowbray's wish to develop a proper footballer into a CB so as to progress into a ball passing team but I think Rodwell is not physically aggressive enough to cope as a CB. He is a fine footballer who is better off as a CM, good feet and passing. I was disappointed Mowbray broke the 'stays in the dressing room' rule, still if the players are angrily blaming each other it can't be Mowbray's fault.......hmmmm.
  21. I did not see the full game, just the goals live on SSN. Depressing. Rodwell was quite a special show on how to concede a goal from a simple to defend situation. I struggle to work out how he did it. To cheer my self up I recently changed my avatar. It helped me. Our current home and away colours are suited to beachwear, apparently the players agree.
  22. Real shame Lenihan missed a goal with the header, it would have given him a confidence boost. He was wobbly throughout and always at risk to give a penalty away. Fortunately PNE were not too bothered about getting into our area after the start they had and us being pants.
  23. Thanks tonyoz. Every Rovers player bar maybe Raya should have at least 1 extra Red for the abject start to the game. Mowbray can have 3, one for each half of the game and an extra one for some of his post match comments.
  24. Fortunately I did not wake up in time to watch the T20 final so dodged a bullet.
