  1. At Leicester Rodgers had them finishing 5th, 5th and 8th in his first 3 seasons, qualified for the Europa League twice and won the FA Cup for the first time in Leicester's history. Also won the Community Shield. His final season was hampered by the effect that COVID had had on the owners business and its reduced investment in the team. One can argue he still had sufficient talent in the team to put up a better show. Lack of investment has caused this season's problems. He is a PL standard manager but they can only produce with continuos financial support in the money hungry PL. And I'm not his greatest fan, think he's a bit too 'smooth' for my taste.
  2. Sensible by Levy to approach someone who won't turn him down as so desperate to stay in the PL. There are only so many slap downs even Levy can take. He may even turn out a decent appointment.
  3. He must have quickly sussed out Levy and the general Spurs circus and doesn't want to be their ringmaster.
  4. So much for projects, plans and process. In football it can all change overnight, nevermind over a week or two. A reminder, if one was needed, to seize the moment which by error or deliberately was completely aborted by the January debacle ..... For which no full accounting has been made, despite promises which became fecking lies. They make me puke, C's the whole bunch.
  5. Yes, I checked it. Heart attack in Jan 2022 at age 61. He did make me laugh though, as any good clown should.
  6. The only team I don't want to go down is Everton. I'll be a little sad to see Leicester go down but fecking ecstatic to see Leeds plunge, although that might prompt them to look at JDT.
  7. Oh dear. I didn't know that. I'll delete my posts. RIP Shebby
  8. Leeds will beat Spurs and could even stuff the softies, a bunch of serial losers. Everton should be ok with a draw but need to win to be sure. This is the one time I can think of that I want Big Sam to fail.
  9. And now he's off to India to further ingratiate himself into the Ewood hierarchy. A Company man if ever I saw one.
  10. Will he get on the flight with Egg, that will be a litmus test.
  11. FA Vase final at Wembley is now live on BT 1 Ascot United v Newport Pagnell Town Update: Ascot just scored 1-0 at just about the same time as WHU equalised, watching both
  12. Just imagine: Waggott - CEO Egg - DoF Martin - Manager If that lineup doesn't make your skin crawl and give you nightmares you're made of sterner stuff than me. Lickers United
  13. He can be as unpleasant as he likes, the more the better ... If he's one of us.
  14. That's what I thought. Well at least it's not again they are asking ....
  15. He doesn't like us and hasn't for years. He's filed in my F.C. bin.
  16. FFS a guy cracks a joke and gets woked. Meanwhile backed in the real world. 10000 per cent ...Jesus wept
  17. "Inconsistent" doesn't come close in describing the EFL and Referees
  18. He had nowt to do with their promo from L1, he was busy with a death spiral elsewhere. He also inherited a decent squad but did lose Stewart and the loan striker from Everton. Odd for me to say it but it would be harsh to sack him after getting to playoffs but maybe the Sunderland are fearful of what might come.
  19. It's a judgement on how poor the league has been this season and how we most spectacularly messed up the playoffs. A combination of players bottling it with a manager lacking experience in the Championship. Coventry and Sunderland are confirmation of the opinion.
  20. Diallo's early diving failed to impress the Ref and then apart from the odd bit of good skills he just about disappeared. The false 9, if that's what it was, failed against Lockyer who is a thug whilst also being a damn good footballing defender. Clarke was also ineffective.
  21. I do hope this is not when he discovers plan B
  22. Keown lashing out as he's distraught that Arsenal have imploded. Tyler the easy target ... and that's good news for any cat that may have been near. I have to say Tyler is still imho a top commentator and I can't accept the ageism being shown him. Basic rudeness.
  23. Martin Keown accusing others of bias. That has to be a piss take. He is one who I really do avoid listening to whenever possible.
