  1. Summary judgement based on a few lines in the media. Amazing but usual in this place.
  2. That was a tough watch. Fortunately Oxford City v St Albans was more entertaining.
  3. This has been like reading a party manifesto from the QEGS Old Boys lunchtime drinking club.
  4. Problem for me is that Gurner is a Boro fan so that final is a win win for the specimen. I would prefer Coventry v Luton .... But in reality they are all trash*. I wonder if the lazy git is watching from the sunshine of Spain, FO * I need to qualify that. I quite like Sunderland the Club and recall the great day when the beat the hated Leeds in the FA Cup final. If they go up and sack Gurner I'm fine with that, the only downside is that he would get a payoff and promotion bonus.
  5. I went for a lie down at HT in the Old Firm game and just woke up. My usual body clock alarm didn't go off. Shows how much I care about playoffs .... or maybe just tired ... it's been a long long ultimately disappointing season. Might watch Salford v Stockport but will check if Itchy Boots has released a new episode first. Luton will do Mowbray at home. I'll go to the Wat tomorrow to place a curse.
  6. Brereton played more games but Kennedy the better GPG rate On the other subject which also can be a GPG, Kennedy for sure 😊
  7. Tara and close the door.
  8. Yes but not as much as it should as I expected a FU and it came. Playing with 10 men in most of the final 9 games didn't help. For clarity I include Morton in the 10 man team for those games pre injury.
  9. Yes. Is that the correct answer?
  10. I keep it simple and don't like any of the playoffs candidates. Voted no, they won't get past Luton.
  11. As part of pre season the analysts should put together a compilation of de Bruyne taking shots from distance. He is a master of the technique required to achieve real power and accuracy from distance. Make the players watch it on repeat loop. It would cost nowt.
  12. I will not bother to read that.
  13. We scored 9 goals from set plays and were at position 18th Millwall were 1st with 24 Notably Sunderland with 8 and Coventry with 7 were below us in the set play success table.
  14. JDT and Squad: B (Playoffs would be B+, promotion A). GB: C. Did well on Hyam, SS and Britain. WTF was Mola about. Hurst poor. Catastrophically failed re striker so almost C-. I do not blame him for the sabotage of O'Brien, he didn't pull the plug. Maggott and Co - I need therapy to even think of them. Owners - I hope to live long enough to see their arses out of the Rovers door. JDT has grown on me as the season has evolved, even during the end of season death spiral. He played with the cards he had. I hope he stays.
  15. Totally agree, he'd be in the trench too. I was just thinking if we had a team of A. Keeper, Adam plus the rest a mix of JRCs and SSs it would be a hell of an outfit.
  16. I so want him buried in Luton. A mouthy bellend
  17. You need the ball and Rovers players in the opposition penalty area to stand any chance of a penalty being awarded. 2 awarded to us seems fair on that basis. I'm only being partially flippant.
  18. Thanks. I was more thinking on an average over a number of seasons but you have gone towards confirming my thinking.
  19. Spot on. I certainly thought Norwich, Watford and WBA would do better and didn't think for a moment that Luton, Coventry and Sunderland would make the playoffs. Apart from Burnley, SU and in half the season Boro to a lesser extent, this has been a league of similar very average teams. This explains how we were ourselves still in the mix after a truly awful, some would say pathetic, run of results, just 8 points from 27 in 9 games*, at the sharp end when it mattered. We screwed up a major opportunity and I just cannot see the Championship being as rubbish next season. * Without checking that form over a season must be close to guaranteeing relegation
  20. The term is used to "buy time", pass the "ownership" of whatever the process is supposed to be to the audience (if said process fails its your fault) and as a general cover for incompetence.
  21. My opinion of Szmodics has completely changed over the course of the season. He's one of the very few of the current Rovers squad I'd want in the trenches with me.
  22. The propaganda works and the constant use of those terms fool the masses. Basic brainwashing.
  23. I called him out for that cowardice at the time.
  24. That's the part that makes him a cnut and not a cult. Apart from 45 minutes yesterday he'd not been interested in putting himself at risk all of this year. He only looked good when the whole team looked good after HT. Fair weather bellend.
  25. I'll have forgotten the lazy gits name by next week. Piss off.
