  1. This article pretty much nails it on what has happened across the EFL and I include the Championship https://www.theguardian.com/football/when-saturday-comes-blog/2023/jan/18/lower-league-football-premier-league-pyramid
  2. 365 has undersoil heating. The pitch facilities are PL standard. Any problems that may arise will be external to the bet365 stadium.
  3. Stokes pitch is Desso GrassMaster, top range quality ..... like we were told Rovers would get ...
  4. https://weather.com/weather/tenday/l/78e1da3c360860df002452ded0d6c3b3cc357b9c4719be110680cef4d94d43f96449f80f083f8ec113988f072cc87d05 I use this site which is very accurate for out here. For Stoke wind speed dropping a bit on Friday but snow forecast, quite a bit for Thursday into Friday.
  5. I think that Pears also looks the more comfortable when dealing with low shots fired in at speed. Dack, BBD and Kaminski are all just an injury or poor performance away from recall anyway and will, I think, be needed well before this season is over. Meanwhile we have to start with the team who not only beat SU but played so well.
  6. ByWe are made of stronger stuff these days and will give Stoke a stern test. I expect a low scoring win to Rovers but it could easily be a 0-0 or 1-1. There has been a shortage of goals in our meetings with Stoke for quite a few years.
  7. Welcome aboard the good ship Rovers. I followed the sad demise of Bury and you, the fans, got raw treatment from those running the club and the authorities. I hope you settle in well at Rovers and on this Board. I shall follow the postings of a new Rovers fan, one with a football fan background, with interest. As low down in the JWU as you can get, and as near to the halfway line, are great views.
  8. What's this? Just a bit of can kicking on a last in first out selection process which, amazingly, fell on low hanging fruit. Meanwhile we await the club's promised full disclosure on the transfer window debacle, sorry, that thud was me falling over laughing.
  9. He does because he is exactly that.
  10. His performance today was the best I've seen from him for a very long time. All that was missing was a goal. However his work ethic is shared by quite a number of his colleagues in this new version of Rovers.
  11. If the players are now who I think they are they will want to play in a FA Cup semi final at Wembley even if some fans claim that they are "not bothered". The players will want that plus a playoff spot.
  12. Superb win and by a great move from the team, finished expertly by Pickering and then we kept the Sheffield wild animals at bay. TBH we should have scored at least one more, Buckley missed the goal completely, somehow, and Szmodics should have just wellied it low. Still a great performance by all including JDT and his colleagues. What a detestable team SU are. Thugs. I will leave it at that but I so want them to miss out on promotion, In the hope that it will mess them up big time including financially.
  13. OMG, FFS just perfect for Sheffield Thugs United. If he's crap for both sides then ok I can deal with that but if he doesn't like personal intimidation then that will favour the Thugs.
  14. He's a prick. And a bloody ugly one.
  15. They will do their usual and kick everything above grass height. There have been dirty blunts ever since Wilder indoctrinated them in the dark arts and shithousery and constant referee intimidation. Their current manager is cut from the same cloth. We can now deal with that. If Norwood is fit and playing he needs handling he is a danger. I expect 1-1
  16. They would be foolish not to.
  17. His "external" factors were bullshit. I suspect GB will be the one forced by those higher up to face the media. It's all been about kicking the can, times a healer and face saving. They knew they had no chance at appeal or at arbitration. My prediction is that no one will be reprimanded let alone punished.
  18. I can't add any more of use to the many good posts made this evening. Well done to @Atko's Engine for promptly emailing Waggott again. My hope now is that the push all the way to arbitration was to save the necks of Waggott and Sylvester and that now it has failed the axe will fall swifty and sharply on those most deserving necks.
  19. They are Thugs and have been since Wilder went there. Generally they kick us of the park. I think we are more street smart now. Can't stand them.
  20. Apparently Spurs were crap because of the World Cup. You are a pathetic man Mr Lineker.
  21. Oh yes, Burnley at City and Kompany due a licking. Bring it on.
