One of our suppliers who is a big Birmingham fan asked me about Gallagher when they signed him last season. I said that, despite his reputation, he's just a bang average championship striker. I spoke to him again in May and he said he's not even that.

Ignoring the sponsor,, I like the home kit but am not a fan of the away kit.

I've had a season ticket since 1991 but my view is that £400 is probably a threshold. Already I miss 4 or 5 games a season through work. For the remainder, some days I have to rush around like a lunatic to get home and get down to Ewood for kick off. Plymouth and Fleetwood midweek spring to mind from last season. I attend these purely because I have a season ticket. If the cost went over £400 then I'd pick and choose on a match to match basis, For my circumstances, Waggott is still operating within my 'budget' but, certainly for those who have a season ticket for convenience but don't attend every game, there is a limit.

Agree with this. It's OK saying trust Mowbray but he was the one who unearthed Gladwin , Hart and Caddis. He counteracted this with several cracking additions - including the loans of Chapman and Armstrong. However if only about half of his transfers turned out to be good, and we are only bringing in 3 more players, then that's why I think people are concerned.

I don't think you mean it sometimes but you don't half come across as aggressive or antagonistic Chaddy. You asked why people thought we were relying on loan signings now and AJW said it was because of the impending deadline. He wasn't disagreeing with you in any way whatsoever. Nor was he suggesting you didn't know when the deadline was. Yet your opening line in reply is as though he was having a pop. As for my opinion, I'll see what position we are in when the window shuts before I get excited or depressed. I don't agree that relying on the loan market is necessarily a bad thing. The Armstrong loan gave us an extra dimension at the end of last season. I still think many positions can be strengthened but Centre Half, Winger and striker priority for me.

If we signed him for a fee you be pretty disappointed at wasting the money. He had a purple, patch where he scored a few late in 2017 but before and after that spell he was largely ineffective in a successful team.

Yawn. Not again.

There are casual fans who will decide on the day of the game whether to go depending on weather or late changes in plans. My dad was one such fan later on in his life. Of course £3 will potentially put them off. Rovers have obviously done the numbers and feel squeezing £3 extra from the fans that will pay it will outweigh the people who are being put off by the surcharge.

I've no problem that France deserved to win. I just don't think they look like a team that can go on and on. They were solid but far from spectacular, and it was a World Cup were a lot of the usual suspects didn't turn up. It was less than 12 months ago they couldn't beat Luxembourg at home in a competitive game. International football is open for so many teams at the moment.

No it wasnt. Most people I know where very worried about the Croatia game. We hoped they'd be tired, the same as we fear we (England or Rovers) will be when we haven't had much recovery time. We planned what we might do if we were in the final but surely that's excitement and human nature.

And having seen the freeze frame, Pogba IS offside for the first France goal. He jumps for the ball and Mandzukic just manages to nick it of his head - into his own net. Why didn't VAR look at that, but does overturn a not very "clear and.obvious" handball. One was a matter of fact not.given. Then the opinion is given.
-
Is that goal not offside?

I've not seen an England side control the midfield, keep posession and generally control the tempo of the games in major tournaments ever. That's due more to the formation and tactics than it is to the players. Therefore I think changing to a back 4 would be madness. Make slight tactically tweaks by all means but play the formation which has served us well and let them worry about us. Otherwise if it backfires we will always wonder what if?

This is going to be a long 15 minutes for the Red Devil's.

Ball was going out of play. He was never going to catch it. However at the point of impact it's not over the line so it's a penalty. I know this because I rewound it and played it back in slow mode and freezed it. Its a pity the officials can't do that. Oh wait.....

Found it. So he did. Tom reported it on Thursday on here, it was in the local Derby paper on Friday and the tubster broke it as an exclusive on the Sunday. Looks a cracking signing .

When did Nixon get this right? Do not recall (or see) him linking him by name until after 5pm today.
-
2-1 now. I thought there maybe a marginal offside early in the build up to the Belgium goal. Hope the linesman didn't keep his flag down for VAR and then they never had a look.

It's still awaiting approval from Switzerland. -
Only If it leads to a goal or penalty. If it leads to a corner which leads to a goal then the attacking team benefits. If it is borderline there's no real issue but I've seen a couple where the attacker was 3 feet off and the linesman played on.
-
Not really arsed about the result. However If Pickford had gone for the save properly with his right hand, instead of going at it with his 'wrong' hand, he may have saved that. Nigel Martyn used to make the same mistake on shots across him.
-
6 minutes injury time added. Then it takes 3 minutes to review VAR and for penalty to be taken. Game ends on 97 minutes. Farce.
-
Or we'd have won both games also.

Dunny leaving his role at Rovers

Others also never stopped supporting the club and started supporting City (cos they were winning ) for several years. A point he ignores when brought up. -
It's not really. There's a link to it in the transfer links thread from about 3 weeks ago.
