  1. Coleman and Bell had 1 year left in their contracts. Having been relegated last year, Holt wanted to see how this season panned out before extending their contracts. Bell went on radio Lancs whinging about it.
  2. If this is to allow a full Darwen end, I’d be curious to know what Preston’s allocation will be at 8pm on a Friday night.
  3. This might be too positive for this thread, but if we did go down at least there would be a chance we would have no more of these shite international breaks.
  4. We won't know but Im presuming a lot of it is to do with changing agents and not agreeing to a new contract.
  5. Fair’s fair. Based on today they all looked pretty good who got on. I’m trying to be positive today and not worry too much how bad QPR were in all this. Siggy could be a Berkovic / Bellamy-like one season wonder.
  6. Just to prove it’s not a BRFCS thing - Preston 3rd in the league. Preston Forum - Should Ryan Lowe be sacked.
  7. We fluffed a few good situations - in the second half the Moran miss and the 3 on 2 where we delayed releasing Szmodics and he eventually was offside come to mind - but no one can complain about that performance or finishing. It was also noticeable we took a lot more shots on from 18+ yards.
  8. That’s a piece of quality.
  9. Oh I agree. And Dolan had to find space for the first goal, and yet Exiled Rover praised Siggy and put the exact same words as my reply above regarding it simply being a tap in to disparage Dolan’s effort.
  10. He does well to start the move for the second goal. So far, Dolan, Markanday and Tronstad have all done well. Hill also looks comfortable at RB. QPR look pretty poor though. They haven’t done their homework as they are leaving us so much space, when are inability to break defences down is our big flaw.
  11. It’s a literal tap in. I would have scored it.
  12. Yeah first line should have said "We didn't and we lost 1-0". That's the problem with posting and working at the same time 🙂
  13. We did and we lost 1-0 instead of 4-1 against Leicester and 3-0 at Plymouth. It's progress resultswise ! Ultimately we are screwed till we can get Gallagher or Ennis on the pitch, but I feel trying to blast everyone off the pitch isn't working. I'd be curious what happens if we actually go a goal up. Do we become more conservative and hit on the break, or continue in the same manner.
  14. This is how desperate the situation actually is:-
  15. Is JDT to blame for the situation? Not really. It's Venkys, Waggot and Broughton before him. However we are conceding at an alarming rate because we are wide open committing too many men forward. That is on the manager. Against Hull with 10 men we showed we can sit back and defend but use the players we have to hit on the break. Same at Watford. It might not have opposition managers purring, but it may grind out more points.
  16. If you pause it, he looks like he does - just. The big issue I have is I believe the linesman didn’t flag. If he thinks it’s an offence he should put his flag up. That adds weight to him not being sure.
  17. The highlights are up on Sky. As someone said, the frustration is the goal was given and then chalked off. However it’s hard to say that the keeper doesn’t have both hands on it. http://www.skysports.com/share/12976594
  18. Our assets just walk out of the door for nothing. Maybe sack the person who has overseen that happen over the last few years.
  19. That’s mad. If we are a couple up he should be sat relaxed with his feet up. He could do most of your points without actually being named as a substitute. It’s just a waste of a space on the bench if you aren’t going to toss him on for 5 mins when behind.
  20. Under what circumstance do you reckon he would have put Ennis on? In which case, why isn’t someone like Gilsenan on the bench?
  21. I agree on that one. I thought he did well in what he had to. Not sure why he would have looked dodgy to anyone.
  22. No one expects that. It’s just losing 5 out of the last 6 is starting to become incredibly frustrating. And we don’t concede 16 goals in those 6 games because of a lack of fit strikers. We do it because we are badly set up.
  23. From that it looks like the keeper may have it in both hands, but it’s difficult to tell.
  24. No. I expect us to not lose 5 out of 6 including 4 on the bounce. As an isolated result and performance it’s not that bad, but the bigger picture is that we suddenly look a soft team who don’t look like winning. To dismiss it as “oh it’s Coventry, what do you expect” ( who remember have only been in the league one year) is more head in the sand than expecting us to grind more than 3 points out of 6 games.
  25. Yep Coventry are amazing. What else can we expect. It’s just an absolute fluke that Huddersfield, Cardiff, Hull, Watford, Sunderland, Swansea and, err, A.F.C. Wimbledon have all managed to avoid losing to them this season.
