  1. My first thought was ‘shove’. My second thought was VE Day 95. My third thought was ‘no foul’ 😀
  2. I’m watching it as well. It’s pretty grim. Burnley have probably been slightly better but they look completely toothless.
  3. It didn't help that he 'took a booking' for an innocuous shirt pull in the first half. He then became scared to tackle. After that he got a bit of a roasting.
  4. Greggy boy has screwed us on the goalkeeping front this summer.
  5. We have to win the cup first. 😆 I was just actually quite surprised at the prize money on offer for the Conference League. I suppose some backwater Albanian team needs the money to afford having to travel across Europe to play their qualifying games. For footballing paupers it's worth competing in.
  6. Plus €150k for appearing in the Europa Conference League regardless of whether you win a game in the qualifying rounds. If you get into the group stages you are guaranteed €3million.
  7. Who would have thought it - Ben Whiteman is a bit shit after all.
  8. Not unless you are French or Norwegian. It's daft that this competition can now be broadcast abroad, but not streamed by the clubs themselves.
  9. I agree. The last 20 minutes he was still trying to get forward a lot. However there were times he was very slow to close down when defending and was jogging across when he should have been sprinting across. He looked knackered.
  10. Back to what I said a few weeks ago. Looked like what it was for most of the game. A team full of midfielders with no focal point or incision.
  11. When they pay you for an hours work practically what they charge you for a pint, something is wrong.
  12. I know it's an odd move on paper, but Rooney is only 2 games in. Some people will have you believe BRFCS posters are the most negative, unsupportive around though.
  13. Left my seat at 3.40 yesterday to get a beer and a pie. One of the bars was closed in the JW Upper. By the time I got served the second half was just kicking off. That’s almost 25 minutes to get served! Felt extra sorry for the kids in front of me who only wanted 2 chocolate bars!
  14. Coleman and Bell had 1 year left in their contracts. Having been relegated last year, Holt wanted to see how this season panned out before extending their contracts. Bell went on radio Lancs whinging about it.
  15. If this is to allow a full Darwen end, I’d be curious to know what Preston’s allocation will be at 8pm on a Friday night.
  16. This might be too positive for this thread, but if we did go down at least there would be a chance we would have no more of these shite international breaks.
  17. We won't know but Im presuming a lot of it is to do with changing agents and not agreeing to a new contract.
  18. Fair’s fair. Based on today they all looked pretty good who got on. I’m trying to be positive today and not worry too much how bad QPR were in all this. Siggy could be a Berkovic / Bellamy-like one season wonder.
  19. Just to prove it’s not a BRFCS thing - Preston 3rd in the league. Preston Forum - Should Ryan Lowe be sacked.
  20. We fluffed a few good situations - in the second half the Moran miss and the 3 on 2 where we delayed releasing Szmodics and he eventually was offside come to mind - but no one can complain about that performance or finishing. It was also noticeable we took a lot more shots on from 18+ yards.
  21. That’s a piece of quality.
  22. Oh I agree. And Dolan had to find space for the first goal, and yet Exiled Rover praised Siggy and put the exact same words as my reply above regarding it simply being a tap in to disparage Dolan’s effort.
  23. He does well to start the move for the second goal. So far, Dolan, Markanday and Tronstad have all done well. Hill also looks comfortable at RB. QPR look pretty poor though. They haven’t done their homework as they are leaving us so much space, when are inability to break defences down is our big flaw.
  24. It’s a literal tap in. I would have scored it.
