  1. I watched a lot of the game last night and thought Birmingham were unlucky. They seemed to have more chances and dangerous possession. It was a comedy Scott-Dann-like own goal which got Preston back into it. Preston may well be grinding out points as we did early last season which their performances don't really deserve.
  2. Vince Grella looked like the Australian Roy Keane when we got him on the pitch.
  3. Szmodics has to stay where he is. He scores goals by timing his runs well from deep. Having him up top with a defender permanently tight on him won’t suit. A lot of Dacks goals were more classic strikers goals than Sammy gets, and yet up top he was ineffective. You’ve got to rely on either Leonard or Telalavic tomorrow surely.
  4. Didn’t he get dropped for precisely not doing that at Stoke away last season.
  5. Sunderland fans reading this probably think you are joking.
  6. Definite handball. He took the laces out of it.
  7. Be aware it’s about 3 seconds delayed so you’ll know what happens from the crowd before you see it.
  8. To be fair that was mentioned at the last fans forum meeting with the club, to which the representatives of the club replied that *checks notes* "they would take back the comments to the club" As far as those minutes read, the club didn't even say it was for cost saving measures. It was just because they could fit everyone in one stand.
  9. About 6:32 on this video a great angle of the Pears save from O’Brien. On the tv highlights it looks like the hardly touches it, but here it is certainly going in.
  10. 1-2 now. This is a case of whose defence is shittest.
  11. As much of a nice guy Broughton looks in front of the camera, the fact JDT is almost calling him out as a liar on Buckley just days after this interview is worrying. If he’s not telling the whole truth on that, what else is a bit of a PR sound bite. No interviews are spontaneous towards the end of the windows. It’s like they give themselves a few days to ‘get their story straight’ before you hear from them.
  12. Cardiff V Swansea taking place at 7.45pm tomorrow on a Saturday evening. Lancs police take note.
  13. And yet his appointment coincides with us desperately trying to save money by closing the Blackburn End for a competitive fixture. If I worked at Ewood I’d be concerned by this guys arrival. And I don’t mean if I was your Waggots and your Broughtons, I mean your everyday staff.
  14. Might as well turn the big screen off and save electricity. Sure, it’s nice for the fans to be able to see the replays and the team sheets, but it costs money and is not essential. What a King Cnut this guy is.
  15. At some point it may become can they afford not to.
  16. Saturday 3pm kick off. Could be a decent crowd. You never know with Boro. They could bring 1000 fans, they could bring 5500.
  17. Around 4000 were sold before open sale. So about 70% of the 5,700. I doubt there were many people at Bramall Lane who hadn’t already attended Rovers games that season. The way some people talk it’s like we took thousands of day trippers who didn’t bother attending any other games and only went cos it was an FA cup quarter final. Great effort for a 12pm kick off live on tv with no trains BTW.
  18. But practically all of the 6000 were season ticket holders. So they were already committed fans. It’s nonsense that is peddled that a load of glory hunters who don’t attend Ewood suddenly rocked up at Bramall Lane.
  19. Joke of a decision in the old firm game there. How was that disallowed for a foul. If anything the defender kicks the attacker.
  20. Well. JDT didn’t want Buckley to leave and it turns out Pears shouldn’t be coming out of his goal heading balls away after all. Who knew.🤷‍♂️
  21. Looks like the players have downed tools here. Doncaster have just been better all game. It’s not like it’s undeserved.
  22. Everton have been abysmal. Dyche will be gone if they lose tonight I think.
  23. I’d still be very surprised. If it was at Ewood it would technically be ‘broadcast’ to be shown on our own concourses, but wouldn’t be available elsewhere.
