No need to wait. He starts. Physical bombardment incoming, -
Irons, Irons, Irons Enjoy 😀😀
-
No shit. That’s why I put maybe.
-
Villa quite impressive second half, although Spurs leave too much space. It’s like Postecoglou is trying to do it the Kompany way. Everton just too wasteful.
-
If we had played Kaminski at the back end of last season ( the keeper who is currently starting to earn great reviews in the Premier League) instead of the inferior Pears then maybe we wouldn’t have needed the cash as much a few weeks later.
-
I thought the budget cuts happened after the Ennis signing - hence the backtracking on the Batth deal. Ennis was signed in the early part of the transfer window. He was part of Greggy-boys big solution to our striking problem. Telalovic on the other hand is a desperate result of the budget cuts. JDT’s actions speak louder than words on his view on them. Ones a crock, ones a flop.

Not so much hard, but anyone remember one of Samba’s first games for Rovers when he just bounced Julio ‘Beast’ Baptiste off the ball. Think it was the Benni McCarthy late winner in the cup game.

Because the southern part of the old region of Macedonia is literally part of Greece.

Dominic Samuel just signed for Ebbsfleet at the age of 29. Scored for them on his debut last weekend. -
He's been available for the last 8 games now. He's not not getting time because he's not fit. He's not getting time because JDT clearly doesn't fancy him. Even in desperation when we need a goal at home.

We are going up (the optimism thread)

Undav is a goal every 78 minutes in the Bundesliga. We may have gone up had he ended up here in Jan. -
Looking like they are about to be 5 points from safety. Another Trafford flap today as well.

That still is a moment before the ball was actually played. When it is actually passed Scott Wharton is playing him on. You can tell it’s not when the ball is played because when he passes the ball Adam Wharton is wholly in the area. On that still he is just outside. Sky froze it to check both during and after the game. -
That isn't a little dig. That a clear criticism that the budget cuts and the 'new coach' that Waggot was bigging up are now significantly costing us by contributing to the injuries.

The Burnley games are on a different level, as I'm sure are the Blackpool games for PNE. There is more rivalry to this fixture than if we were playing Wigan or Blackpool, mainly due to the proximity between the two clubs and the fact you tend to work / encounter PNE fans more than other local clubs. Same applies with Bolton. The PNE game I see as an enjoyable derby. You can go across, spend a full day in Preston, mingle and chat with their fans in most of the town centre pubs (as long as you are not being a dick head), and then enjoy the game. It's more enjoyable than Bolton as the Breezeblock is badly situated for a 'day out'. Whenever I look on the Preston Forum though, I do think that this fixture means more to you than to us. -
Son was flagged offside. The penalty wouldn’t have been given and the goal in the incident was flagged offside. Sterlings handball would have stood. Dier was flagged offside. 1-2
-
Still only 2-1 to Chelsea weirdly. I think.
-
If the Chelsea goal in the first half had stood, do you still think VAR would still have sent Romero off?
-
I love the fact that people believe VAR and SkySports don’t have a camera to conclusively show that the ball was in or out, but Bein Sports have an exclusive ‘angle’ that proves it. Bein Sports have done a bit of computer wizardry to have a guess whether it was in or out, but it’s still not definitive. For what it’s worth, I think all 3 decisions are too close for VAR to overrule so have to be the referee or linesman call. The problem nowadays is that I think officials ‘shit out’ of making decisions, expecting VAR will just bail them out.

He was always going to go all summer only because he was no longer number one. You have no idea whether he would have wanted to go had he played the end of last season. You also have no idea how much we 'encouraged' bids for him. His 'exit' was planned by Greggy boy. I had hoped our much-vaunted European Scouting Network had found a suitable replacement on the cheap but it seems not to be. -

So if Carter is out and we do line up:- Travis - Hill - Pickering - Britain That means we will have our right back at left back. Our other right back at centre back. Our left back at centre back. And a midfielder at right back. Lick your lips all you shadowy Preston fans reading this. -

Kaminsky was available because he hadn't regained his spot from Pears despite clearly being the better goalkeeper. Why that is nobody really knows, but I suspect the decision to try and 'cash in' was made back in March / April. Had he been number 1 when he came back last season he clearly wouldn't have been as 'available'. We have history of turning bids down for players whether they want to leave or not. We could have turned the bid down and I suspect TK's attitude would have remained spot on. The club (we are unsure exactly who) felt that the money received for Kaminsky less the moment paid for Leo was worth downgrading our goalkeeper for. But lets not pretend that we had no choice other than to let Kaminsky leave.
