  1. Waggots probably ordering them for the first team as we speak.
  2. Anywhere in the twenties I accept as the current rate. Once it’s over £30 I start to think it’s too expensive.
  3. Maybe. Maybe not. But with 3 defenders available who could have tried full back (including 1 that has already covered there previously), Travis wasn’t picked there out of necessity. That’s the point. It happened. It doesn’t bother me. We’ve learnt he can seriously struggle defensively. If we now ended up with him playing more games there, instead of exploring other options, that would annoy me,
  4. Not really. Carter has already played there under JDT. I guarantee he knows how to defend that situation as a full back better for the first goal than Travis did Despite what Chaddy says, there were enough warning signs at Blackpool about Travis. The Match Centre ratings from Bloomfield Rd showed that.
  5. Buckley isn't a right back. They'd have got more than they did. Which is obviously subjective but that's what you just threw at my changes. Either way, the whole performance was abject and didn't improve at all. The fact we still scored twice makes me wonder what would have happened had we been able to have a spell of sustained pressure.
  6. I was happy at the start of the game at the lineup. But in the second half when we were 2-0 down I’d have either gone 3 at the back and pushed Edun / Dolan as left and right midfielders. Or I’d have put Edun left and chanced BB centrally. Anything but the status quo we had watched. If the day after the transfer window ends, and with 4 of our summer signings in the team or on the bench, we can’t change something system-wise then we’ve got problems,
  7. I don’t disagree. But after 70 minutes when we are 2-0 down and he has hardly had a kick, and those playing through the centre have done nothing either, surely it’s worth taking a chance and changing it.
  8. It should have gone back to front into feet a lot quicker. Nobody took the responsibility to move it forward. Brereton should have been central from the start of the second half as he was completely ineffective so wide. Changing the personnel but doing the same think was very poor from those on touchline. Hopefully when they realise the quality and the strengths of the players they are working with they will learn?
  9. They’ll get time and patience from the fans unless it starts going seriously backward. Most people do at Ewood. The previous TM ‘project’ failed so spectacularly when you think about it. Waggot should have sacked Mowbray at least 12 months earlier which may have not put us in the situation of losing the 3 we lost over the summer, and the impending Brereton situation. It’s like everything we tried to build just came apart at the end with those people able to leave for free and it has put us severely backward. @J*Bis touting the opinion we should have sold BB and invested in the rebuild. JDT more or less said come and get him after the Blackpool game. Now as a fan who just want to see us win games I’m happy he is still here. But who put the value on him I wonder? If GB said £20 million or he’s not going then fine. In his role that’s his prerogative. But if Venkys set the value as we are led to believe from certain sources including Alan Myers, and GB has no say in whether we should accept lower, then ultimately Venkys ‘project’ will outrank GB and JDT’s. What I will judge the current footballing leaders on is their transfers, and at the moment I’m not convinced.
  10. Under Mowbray we complained about unbeaten runs followed by death spirals. I think we are literally going to be Jekyll and Hyde every week till JDT can get a better handle on things. I feel we will be the kind of team that could easily beat Lose at Wigan then somehow turn it on to beat Watford. What worried me more yesterday was the tippy tippy, don’t launch it strategy that we were still employing in the 87th minute when it clearly wasn’t going to work.
  11. I’d be accepting of 60+ points as a basis to work on. I’d only be happy with top 6. The ‘project’ is ultimately controlled by Venkys and Waggot. As much as JDT can say we are at the start of his journey, the fans are 12 years into the Venky ‘project’ and almost 5 years into Waggot being onboard.
  12. That’s 4 points every 5 games. That equates to 37 points over the course of the season. Relegation form. And your happy with that? 😯
  13. Think we should all calm down. The time to judge the recruitment policy and the squad is not in July. It’s when the window shuts at the end of August. I’d rather we brought quality in rather than bodies for the sake of it. Oh, hang on.
  14. Looking at the start of the premier league, I’d really struggle to say which 3 would go down. It’s wide open.
  15. Just seen our 2nd goal as I had left by that point. It reminds me to question why is Brereton played so wide now. He’s more left mid than an attacker. He’s almost glued to the touchline at times.
  16. Two sucker punches. Lol. Yeah, the first half and the second half.
  17. Wait till Nyambe ghosts in behind Pickering and nets the winner next weekend.
  18. Is there only me that thought Eden did ok compared to those that had been on before him. (apart from his J-Lowe cross field pass). Personally, I’m not seeing much from Morton yet.
  19. Absolute dross. Boring, negative possession football coupled with players lacking quality. Of the starting eleven only Kaminsky gets a 6 for me. The rest were a plethora of 4s with a couple of 5’s.
  20. Definitely wasn’t a bubble in 2000/2001 I remember laughing at the Burnley fans being escorted down Bolton Road after the 5-0.
  21. Tim Sherwood was awful and couldn’t get into the side in the old div 2 when he signed, but ended up a premierleague-winning lynchpin and captain. Therefore there’s time yet. However I’ve been unimpressed with Sammy so far apart from his composed finish at Swansea.
  22. Imagine paying Nicko's patreon fee to be told we will only sign Hyam if we sell Brereton.
  23. Only worry on last night was JDT's interview did seem a come and get him regarding Brereton. It seemed to be more talking the price up rather than 'we would prefer it if he stayed'.
  24. No. It was the entire first half until, if rumours are to be believed, the players told him it was bonkers at half time.
