  1. Exactly. That's the possible upside for me. I would also hope, having spent many years living in the Country, the son would have a good grasp and understanding of the culture of football. I get the feeling the Raos have barely spent more than a few weeks in the UK this century. How can you run a customer focused business without experiencing life in that Country. If I got involved in a business in Hong Kong or Singapore, I'd make it a priority to understand the culture of those places, something I have very little knowledge of. Otherwise, you're setting yourself up to fail. This rumour is nothing to get excited about, and continues our theme of a basket case of a club, but it's also not something I'd dismiss out of hand. Seriously, it would be hard to be much worse than what we've got. At least his word would hopefully get listened to in India. Got to be better than the wall of silence we currently have. 🤷‍♂️
  2. Thought you wanted Lancashire teams to do well? Is there a different Lancs team you want to come 2nd? Or do you not want Rovers to win the league. 🤔
  3. Fair enough, but can you not take a few days to enjoy it, before you start hoping for a Rovers Burnley 1-2 finish next season. 🤷‍♂️ Just seemed a bit early on the misery is all. Not like we don't have our fair share of that. I'm pretty stuffed. Couldn't even squeeze in a dessert. I have got a bit of space for their salty tears though. 😀
  4. Are you seriously trying to highlight negatives to Burnley getting relegated from the Premier League...... within half an hour of the axe falling. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ Not a glass half full type.
  5. But it will be funny if they do quadruple. It will absolutely devastate the plastic Man Utd fans, and I enjoy their suffering way more than the obvious issues with Liverpool fans. Gets my vote all day long.
  6. Think they're just upset at life. Never understand folk who are abusive whilst celebrating. I kind of understand it when you lose. You're angry and want to take it out on someone else. He should be happy though.
  7. The other side of the altercation for full context (your description checks out):
  8. Spoken like a man that has never met a British football fan. As if temperature would ever make a difference to how much is drunk. Guessing he missed the flare poking out someone's backside.
  9. Hate to be a party pooper, but this is the issue for me. Fair play to Jake for what he's done, takes real guts, genuinely don't know if I'd have the courage. But in reality, it's a very small step in a long journey. Think the 1 in 10 theory was rubbished, and the last census estimated about 4% LGB. So, from the twenty staring 11's in the Prem each week, that's about 9 people, factor in substitutes and we're looking at a full football team of individuals that are keeping this side of their lives secret. Obviously, entirely their right to do so, but I won't feel like we've made real progress in this area until it becomes the norm for some of the superstars in the biggest league in the World to be able to live their lives openly. For example, how long till two teammates are dating? Happened a few times in the WSL I believe. How long till the Premier League has a situation where the GK is in a relationship with the No.9? I'll be honest, feels an eternity away for me at the moment, but hopefully I'm very wrong.
  10. The Amari Bell in the Prem dimension still exists for now. Would be some space to live in.
  11. Newcastle been playing some nice stuff recently. They'll be a lot of players wanting to prove themselves, and make sure they're still in the picture for next season after the summer transfer spending. Desperate not to leave a club on the up. If anything, I reckon Brentford will be the one's on the beach and might give Leeds a gift, despite their awful away form. 🤞
  12. Fairly mind blowing how many heads it's managed to go over, and are outraged. 🤦‍♂️
  13. Leeds, renowned 2nd half of season bottle jobs, and Tony Mowbray. Quite the mix that. Somehow they'd probably manage to drop 2 divisions from Jan to May.
  14. Best Champions League in ages. What a season. 6-5 in a tense semi final tie. To think away goals were once introduced because things had got too boring. None of that nowadays, we're going through a great era. And Newcastle will add to that soon.
  15. It's most definitely that. But you make it sound flippant or petulant. It's based on good reasoning and statistics. You surely can't believe it's toys out pram? It's so much more than that.
  16. We've been in relegation form for all of 2022. And many other points in TM's tenure. This isn't like the Sam Allardyce thing, where it's chucking away a safe pair of hands. For some it's more like the new light bulb is going to immediately short circuit and burn down the whole house.
  17. I can guarantee you I'll never look back misty eyed to Mowbray, no matter what comes next. Even if it's a Kean/Coyle mutant that's been fed through Jeff Goldblum's fly machine. And that's not all about insulting TM. It's just that you regret 50/50 type decisions you've made when they don't pan out. This isn't that. It's a no brainer. Rovers and TM have to part company for the good of them both. Whatever the future holds now is irrelevant to the past half a decade for me. Two separate entities.
  18. I thought that too. He didn't just lob it either, seemed to really give it some welly. Was surprised ref didn't book him. Take your top off for 5 secs = yellow. Chuck a smoking flare with force = no problem. Makes perfect sense.
