  1. Dunno what Dack's moaning about there. The ball across was covered by defender, gets cutout about 8 of 10 times. Diaz shot was right, was just shit.
  2. It's an admission I've not seen in over half a decade. Refreshing.
  3. I'm taking that as a big positive. They should be out of sight. With our packed bench, 5 subs allowed, and a potentially fragile opponent, no reason we can't turn this round. Happened to us often enough, let’s really turn the corner and start being the club that punishes teams for not capitalising on their dominance.
  4. Ronaldo on loan for season 250k a week = £13 million loan fee. I'd sign that off in a heartbeat if he was committed and happy. Despite the gamble and knowing the risk to the club finances. Because the potential rewards are so big.
  5. Ah crap, that's getting closer to accept territory for me. 13 + 5 euros = £15 million. Not a massive leap from where they're at. I'm fairly confident of him hitting the add ons for club and country. Officially worried after that tweet.
  6. The one thing helping this option is I don't see him chucking any toys out the pram. Doesn't seem the type. And why would he in this situation. Seems happy playing for us, gets on with teammates, he only has 10 months to go, if we get promoted will get a good contract offer, if he chooses elsewhere can earn a big signing fee. Not much to dislike there. Normally when considering "the gamble", player reaction is a big factor, here I'm confident to discount any worries. So just leaves the standard injury concern.
  7. Awesome. Cheers Roth. Working perfect. 👌
  8. Yeah, it's same for me Chaddy. Can get the sliders up no problem by refreshing the page, but when I try to vote: Your vote could not be submitted - please try again. Same for all the players, and I've tried mobile and PC. Must be a glitch. Think we'll have to wave the white flag and concede that our votes won't count on this match. Shame, because Gally was about to break his record from me. 😂
  9. Last time the timekeeper stitched us, (with totally justifiable injury time, which seems to apply to us and no other team in the league 🤬🤬), we conceded the equaliser in the 109th min. And looked like weak, headless chickens for all of those 10 mins. What a contrast today was. Feels different at the moment. Corner turned? A couple new signings these next few weeks and I genuinely believe we've got a good chance this year.
  10. Don't get the drama. Surely, like with any transfer, it all depends on if the player is worth the money. If, for example, we suspect there may be 20 weeks max where we don't play him, incurring a 5k extra wages fine = £100k. So, word it differently, if you want to loan this player it's going to potentially cost you an extra £100k on the fee. The question then = is that value for our club?... in terms of how desperate our need is for that position. It's a simple yes or no for me. Think people are focusing too much on the 'punishment' angle. Surely there's cost implications to every team sheet we put up - that player has a higher appearance fee, this player has a huge goal bonus and may score today etc etc. This would just be another potential cost to add to the equation. No biggie.
  11. Surely there isn't contracts that exist where we get fined if a player is injured. That would be ridiculous. Fair enough if a player is fit and we choose not to play them. Any manager/ceo that agrees a contract where we get punished for having a player out injured needs their head banging against wall. No matter how desperate we might be at the time for said player.
  12. Brentford fans relentlessly booing Eriksen. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ He played 11 games for you ffs.
  13. And there's the Bat-Signal to shut this detour down. Not necessarily because of this comment. Just because the conversation has run it's course. Time to get back on track to transfers please. Any further English lesson posts will be hidden, maybe even moved to a super fun new thread in off topic, which I'm sure will be red hot. 💥💥💥
  14. Congrats to both of you. Welcome to the World Alina and....errrr...Domina. 😂😂 Great hearing good news during an era of seemingly non-stop bad.
  15. Great play by Hedges. Looking very good this season.
  16. Fine with it as long as it continues fairly ALL season then. Last initiative like this that springs to mind was 'hands on' in the box resulting in a penalty. We had one against Samba in August for Everton's winning penalty. It then happened to Samba in the attacking box all season long without a single pen for us. People were literally hanging off his shirt. I'm definitely over it tho....
  17. I'd have to see a few more angles, but I'm more concerned that the ref thought it worthy of a 'chat'. Fairly insane.
  18. Wouldn't say red, but another blatant early yellow bottled. I'm fine with it, as long as we get the same luxury from refs throughout the season. Edit: Same happened early in the lionesses game with a stonewaller on Beth Mead.
  19. Highest attendance of any Euros final ever - women's or men's- hell of a stat that. Well done to all that put the tournament on.
  20. Nipped to the toilet with the ball in the Germany RB position, 30 seconds later I hear screaming from the commentators. 🙄
  21. Yeah, she's been bad, no hiding from it. Need Russo on 2nd half.
  22. I take it back....a player of that experience can't be gobbing off and getting an early booking in a final ffs. A dive in the box now and she's off. Poor!
