I'd put Dolan on daily diving training. Improve his technique. Shame, cos that was a strong leg in, cud easily have been a pen, but he makes it so bloody obvious. The ref's feel insulted.
-
Yep, definitely going for the inside man. Nice for the ball to roll kindly for us.
-
Would be nice if we actually got the decision given in the match for once. They're amazing at spotting every single infraction we make (Buckley's head bounce), but things seem much less clear when our lads are getting crunched. I swear we've had a few '3 yellow card' culprits this season. With the guy finally seeing a card in about the 82nd min. π

Nice touch that Trav tidying up Dack's shinpads after they'd been flung in anger. He even stored them neatly into the physio's bag. -
He's been great on the ball, but doesnβt inspire confidence in defence, but looks like it could be my issue. Whether it's the physicality grappling with the attacker on a long ball, or someone running at him with ball at feet, I'm panicking every time. But hopefully I'm way off the mark, and everyone else is right. π€·π»ββοΈ

And last maybe? π€ What has happened to S. Wharton. Looks devoid of confidence. When they do score, I'm fearing it will be him at fault.
-
So are they on us, but they're doing it sporadically. Which is clever, because our defenders surprised is not good.

Tbh, the comparison with Fergie's team is quite fitting in terms of the S-housery on display last night. I've never seen so many dramatic flops to the floor whilst clutching faces. And chief dickhead Ashley Barnes's shambles at the corners was quite something to witness. (I'll caveat that with Watford being almost as bad..... big emphasis on almost, as any team would struggle to reach the heights your boys hit!!)
-
He does that, they score from the corner, and we all go mental about it for pages on here.
-
Precisely what's needed to transform his dry weekend.

My bitterness probably just stems from countless clubs in the Championship (including us) being punished with transfer embargos etc whilst the teams in the Prem seem to get away with murder. And what better figurehead to be an example for punishment than the club that has won 4 of the last 5 titles. That, and they're still on my shit list for booing at HT when being down to Spurs. Poor little babies, not being 3 nil up by the break, my heart bleeds for them!

'It's me, Markanday, I've come home...'

Nobody is calling you a liar Gav, but there's also no evidence to back up the claim. And the forum posts + archive go back a fair old way. But not all the way. So it's one person's word v another. You can surely see that there's nowhere we can go with that. Besides, is it necessary to do an inquest into what might have happened 2 decades ago? Can it not just be let go for the sake of forum harmony.
-
Don't forget Markanday.

https://footystats.org/england/championship/form-table With 2 tough away fixtures coming up was looking at the form tables. We're 21st out of 24. But was interested to see the top of the Away From Table (6 games). It basically mirrors the actual League Table. Burnley, Sheff Utd, Middlesbrough sat in same order 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Luton only one place out of order in 5th v 4th. Tells a story that. Compete well away from home in the Championship and you stand a good chance of promotion. We don't, so won't.

Hankies at the ready, poor Man City are the victims here πͺπͺ:

Looks like we've taught Thomas our regular corner style quickly. π
-
Forgot that was against them. Redemption for Pears, blistering debut from Thomas, and Diaz to have a stormer to prove his head's still in it. Those things happen, we should be all right. π€

I don't know enough about it, but a lot of people saying this is very different to the UEFA thing. Different rules apply etc. And this isn't just a few discrepancies, they're getting charged with 100 breaches. Hell of a lot of wriggling needed to get out of that surely.
-
This Man City story could be huge. An example needs set imo. That's not sour grapes, but if the rest of us Championship clubs have all been punished over the years, why the hell have the clubs at the top been getting away with it for so long.
-
And cocked about all transfer window trying to get clauses in contracts where they can make a profit for doing absolutely sod all with a player for a year. Not absolving our lot of their incompetence. But if Forest really wanted to do what was best for the player, they could have offered more favourable terms to Championship clubs earlier in the month. He would have been snapped up quickly, no doubt. They're at fault too. Not interested in any whining from them, no matter how sorry I actually feel for the player.

I think it would be pathetic not to be angry and call this out. It's reminding me off the Shane Duffy two own goals game now too, in terms of the suspicious conspiracy theories. Has it been done on purpose? Is there bad intentions at play? π€ Couldn't give a flying **** either way! All I knew then was I didn't want Duffy anywhere near Blackburn Rovers ever again. And what's good for on the pitch should count for off it too. If you remove the individuals, their intentions are instantly rendered completely irrelevant. And if your suspicions were wrong and misfounded, even the worst case scenario is you've binned an underperforming employee. π€·π»ββοΈ

The more time I've had for the statement to sink in, the more angry I am about the phrase "..one of the deals was a very ambitious target.." Gaslighting us that the only problem here is that they were reaching for the stars. The old Icarus story. 'Sorry, we got ahead of ourselves and flew too close to the sun!' Let's have it right, this was an unwanted player who wasn't going to be in a Premier League team's squad, had already seen a couple Championship clubs pull out for various reasons, and was left with one option....us. Hardly the major coup that statement conjures up. It was a fairly standard loan deal that scores of clubs do every single transfer window. As much as I really wanted the player here, I believe he could have made a real difference, I'm not having them make out this was the complicated, high status transaction they're pretending. It was a basic football business agreement that was monumentally ballsed by complete incompetence. Stop lying to the fans, we're not thick!
-
They couldn't even commit to things "beyond our control..." Had to instead go with a mealy-mouthed "..we believe to be outside of our control". Oldest trick in the book. You know you're on dodgy ground when you have to skirt round statements like that.

New signing and no 5 min countdown, no sticker book.....and you didn't even wait till 11 o clock to announce it. π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈ So many open goals, couldn't be more Rovers. π
