  1. Big difference between a stranger, and one of your closest and most trusted. 😉 Savage!
  2. Only just heard about it last hour or so. Been holding off internet searches till I finished the series. It's just anout Ciro I'm guessing?
  3. Disagree, think that bit was brilliant and brutal. That he had transformed from this niave, young kid 👇.....to a monster capable of such horrors is the story: Excellent show, definitely in my Top 5 all time. Just finished the final 2 episodes last night. Going to try Suburra now, heard good things.
  4. By my rough calculations, at some point Monday night the counters for last manager and season start will be exactly the same numbers. Perfect time to make the announcement. I like a bit of symmetry to life.
  5. All that's standing out to me from that tweet is a football club getting rid of a manager and appointing a new one within days. What sort of South American witchcraft is this?! Such things are beyond the realm of mortal man surely.
  6. Mealy-mouthed. His maths could do some work too. What's the odd 10k matter....errrrr I mean 5k (wtf is he on about?!): "Whether there are 30,000 or 40,000 people, it doesn't change anything. What matters is that there were people, in large numbers, likely to disrupt the proper organization of the filtering. But that we count them precisely to within 5000, it doesn't change much."
  7. Behave. I reckon I'd get you for 50-100k. And it would be fully booked in pubs/restaurants, days at the beach etc. I'd want maximum exposure to possible punishment. Otherwise, where's the fun. 😀
  8. If I was a lottery winner I'd quite fancy testing that theory out. I do enjoy the idea of someone trying not to swear publicly whilst hearing that Alan Curbishley has been appointed our interim manager. Or better still, some pics from your jail cell. 😂
  9. Pfff. A few light hearted tangents to entertain in the off season is one thing. The same tired old rows that have been going on months/years totally derailing a thread is another. #NACAB
  10. MANAGER thread folks, not PLAYERS thread. Please don't make me hide a load of posts, I got better things to do. Take your 'Bucko' bickering elsewhere.
  11. This is a fair explanation tbf. The CL final was all very close quarters. This one was miles apart so the defender has "time and options" and "distance and space": Not that I really agree with that, but if those are the rules, I can understand how the penalty is given.
  12. Unless the ball came off a defender, but then we had the whole Benzema CL final thing. Either way, weird they didn't even look at it.
  13. Kane was offside there surely. 🤔 But VAR didn't even bother checking that. Nice to get one go for us.
  14. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/17719839 Gael Givet.
  15. See, he's too thick to realise it, but the story shows exactly why we were right about Kean. If a midfielder was running 50m high intensity a match he shouldn't have been anywhere near the team sheet. Didn't that twat waffle on about Opta match stats constantly? The minute you knew a player had "downed tools", you ditch them. You play absolutely anyone else there, even if it's a youth squad player. Those are the sort of tough decisions a manager is paid handsomely to make. It's the reason that tool is a multi millionaire. Because he was supposed to be dealing with all these things daily, and getting the best people out there come matchday. But he didn't...he couldn't....cos he was always a useless pudding. So take your sob story Bradley and shove it sideways up your backside! Clown.
  16. DJ making a bit of a clown of himself these last few days. Needs to go to Saudi as it's "what's best for his family", and he felt "he was going to have to play golf forever, this way I won't have to." Must have been really struggling on those $75 million career earnings. 🤷‍♂️
  17. Yeah, you said people that thought they knew so much about football should apply for managers jobs. I'm just pointing out to you that's clearly not the case. Or do you mean it was just another way to be rude and condescending "...to members of this forum." You're tying yourself in knots my friend. Tends to happen with folk that get too full of themselves.
  18. Your point falls a bit flat considering none of them are managers, and I most definitely include Neville in that. Carragher, Alex Scott, Neville, Micah Richards, Redknapp, Clinton Morrison, Danny Gabbidon, Stephen Warnock. The regulars, not a manager to be seen. In fact the only one's I can see with any decent managerial credentials is Souness (last managed 16 years ago), and Roy Keane (last assistant managed 8 years ago barring a weird 4 month spell at Forest) It's almost like some people can still have opinions and insight into the game without officially being managers of a football club. 🤔🤔 Don't let a multi-billion pound industry, that you brought up, stamp all over your digs though. 😉
  19. I believe it's only Newcastle and Bournemouth that have only played there via that route. All the other clubs in top 2 leagues have played there legitimately in the usual competitions.
  20. Ha! Working to reduce the shortlist. The list is reducing itself as, one by one, they tell the clowns at Ewood and Pune to piss off.
  21. We must be the slowest acting club in the top 2 divisions this last decade. Whether it be player tranfers, hiring and firing managers, other staff changes. I don't even know if it's possible to measure such a thing, but surely guaranteed we'd be bottom of a list for speed and efficiency. Those things that make a business successful.
