  1. C'mon Gav, that miss is the definition of laughable. 6 yards out, with the keeper out the nets, and you not only miss the ball, but fall on your arse. 🤦‍♂️
  2. You must've missed the exciting news in this thread about our bright future ahead. The good times are coming. If you doubt that, you're not opening your mind. I'm throwing a party tonight to celebrate. 🍾🍾🥂🥂
  3. Rugby tackle in the box = a retake Cmon, we all know that.
  4. We're going to gift them a goal soon. Or rather, they're gonna take advantage of the gifts we keep giving them soon. Here's to a 2nd half turnaround like Tues.
  5. But the slight problem with this is that on various occasions you have stated time has been the issue in relation to disclosing more information. i.e. I need to keep this under my hat for a while, and then depending on how it develops, I'll tell you all more. Which is perfectly reasonable....... until you're banging the same drum some 6 months later..... having shared the squate route of sod all. Then, credibility takes a nosedive, and it starts to look suspiciously like something else. So, can you gauge and give an opinion on the information you were provided, and how it all panned out? 🤔
  6. Two footed, off the floor, and out of control is the lines they'll trot out. Agree though, it's an orange at worst. Certainly not worthy of an overule for being clear and obvious.
  7. https://www.soccerstats.com/formtable.asp?league=england2 Championship form tables, 6/8/10/12 games. Derby are in the bottom 3 in all of them except 10 games where they sit a lofty 20th. This points deduction scenario seems to confuse things. They are simply an incredibly poor team. Not their fault with what's gone on, but still very clear. I'm chuffed we beat them, I really am, but I'm not going to start pretending it was some impressive feat. With their away record in particular versus our home record, a win last night was a fairly low bar to achieve. We did it, and well done to TM and the team for that. But I'm thinking any major plaudits can wait until they have put some form of substantial run together to get us back on track. Don't feel I'm being unfair with that stance. I would hope the squad would think exactly the same way, otherwise they don't hold much professional pride.
  8. Good illustration of where we at form wise even after last night's much needed win: Form: Last 12 matches GP W D L GF GA GD Pts 1 Fulham 12 8 2 2 26 11 +15 26 2 Sheffield Utd 12 7 3 2 19 8 +11 24 3 Huddersfield 12 6 6 0 19 9 +10 24 4 Bournemouth 12 7 2 3 19 11 +8 23 5 Luton Town 12 7 1 4 13 12 +1 22 6 Nottm Forest 12 6 3 3 18 9 +9 21 7 Blackpool 12 6 3 3 17 11 +6 21 8 Millwall 12 6 3 3 10 7 +3 21 9 Cardiff City 12 6 2 4 17 11 +6 20 10 Middlesbrough 12 6 2 4 19 16 +3 20 11 QP Rangers 12 5 3 4 15 12 +3 18 12 Preston 12 4 6 2 11 8 +3 18 13 Coventry City 12 5 2 5 15 15 0 17 14 Swansea City 12 5 1 6 11 18 -7 16 15 Hull City 12 4 3 5 10 10 0 15 16 Barnsley 12 4 2 6 11 14 -3 14 17 Birmingham City 12 3 4 5 16 19 -3 13 18 Bristol City 12 4 1 7 15 22 -7 13 19 Blackburn 12 3 3 6 5 10 -5 12 20 Stoke City 12 2 5 5 17 17 0 11 21 West Brom 12 3 2 7 9 15 -6 11 22 Derby County 12 3 1 8 12 20 -8 10 23 Reading 12 2 2 8 13 28 -15 8 24 Peterborough 12 0 4 8 6 24 -18 4 Covering over a quarter of the season, we are sat in 19th place, having managed to beat one of the teams in the bottom 3 last night. EVERY single one of our promotion rivals is in the top 10 of that table (barring QPR just outside it.) EVERY single one of our promotion rivals has a positive goal difference versus our -5. Bournemouth, who everyone says are stuttering, have almost double our points over that period. As good as it is to see us sat in 4th place at this stage of the season, I don't think there's any denying we our the outsider in terms of odds to go up. We've stopped scoring goals and stopped getting results at a very bad point in the season. Of course, that could all change with a few of our injured players back, a couple of wins for us, and a few indifferent results for our rivals, and we could surge up that table. We have the fixtures coming up to do it. But, if we stay in the bottom half of that table, then there's no chance we're even getting a sniff of promotion.
  9. The thing about these rants against our own fans that always get me is how they ignore what has gone before. Focusing on "a poor first half" in their example. Those boos were a build up of days, weeks, months, and hours and hours of football, that had been mainly, absolutely awful. I don't agree with booing own players either, but if you're going to highlight it, then at least do it in a fair and realistic context. To claim fans were booing just because of one bad half, whilst simultaneously calling them "shortsighted" and "ignorant", is quite the position to take. As it shows a complete lack of understanding of the situation as a whole.
  10. Someone call Will Smith. An alien is wearing a Sam Gallagher skin suit.
  11. Gonna be 6 or 7 mins injury time here. Long way to go. Edit: More like 10 now. All the best to CKR.
  12. Good this injury for them. Stops Rooney making another tactical change.
  13. Dack assist. Him and SG made a real impact. Different game.
  14. Here we go. Can they push on. Our season in 40 mins? 🤔
  15. Attempted to bamboozle Rooney with the 'shit defensive midfielder up top' rouse. One of Baldrick's cunning plans.
  16. Might as well throw everything at this now. I'd prefer to lose 5-0 than die wondering. Chuck a few subs on and go all out attack second half. We actually worry teams when we go at them. When was the last time we even tried it?!
  17. Ah crap, yeah, I'd relegated the first one to 5-0 weirdly. If only. Then wouldn't have been a record breaker.
  18. Barnsley just drew with Fulham, who beat us 7-0 on aggregate, so the maths pans out really.
  19. We score tonight, I'm convinced of it, and will take the pelters if wrong. The rest of it, resultwise, is anyone's guess. I'm feeling strong win vibes, but 1-1 is a strong option too.
  20. Yeah, he's a tool. Tbf, that's just their schtick now, arguing with each other. They won best radio show award last week: talkSPORT’s White & Jordan was named audio and radio show, the judges praising a ‘show aimed at and perfectly serving a passionate football audience with incisive and intelligent perspectives on the national game’. I do like listening to Jordan, some of his insights about club ownership are very interesting, having been there, done it, and lost £50 odd million in the process. And I love it when he sticks it to the agents, mainly Mino Raiola. That man is a scourge on the sport.
  21. Simon Jordan talking some sense. Although he does focus too much about just the money. What about the fan experience too? Why the hell should Boro fans miss out on watching a massive home cup tie because of Chelsea.
  22. For once the stats are all in our favour on this match: Won 7 of last 9 v Derby Won last 4 home games against them, only conceding 1 goal. They've only beaten us at home once in last 20 years (since 2001) Derby have lost last 7 away games straight, and only scored 1 goal in last 5 away. We all know that means one thing..........just kidding, we're actually going to win this one, just to keep the 'hope that kills' going. This lot are going to keep us torturously hanging on for a while yet, I reckon Bournemouth, the penultimate game of season, is when all hope will finally be extinguished. And yes, I'm feeling very positive this Monday.
