  1. Newcastle been playing some nice stuff recently. They'll be a lot of players wanting to prove themselves, and make sure they're still in the picture for next season after the summer transfer spending. Desperate not to leave a club on the up. If anything, I reckon Brentford will be the one's on the beach and might give Leeds a gift, despite their awful away form. 🤞
  2. Fairly mind blowing how many heads it's managed to go over, and are outraged. 🤦‍♂️
  3. I do enjoy laughing at Arsenal:
  4. Leeds, renowned 2nd half of season bottle jobs, and Tony Mowbray. Quite the mix that. Somehow they'd probably manage to drop 2 divisions from Jan to May.
  5. Best Champions League in ages. What a season. 6-5 in a tense semi final tie. To think away goals were once introduced because things had got too boring. None of that nowadays, we're going through a great era. And Newcastle will add to that soon.
  6. It's most definitely that. But you make it sound flippant or petulant. It's based on good reasoning and statistics. You surely can't believe it's toys out pram? It's so much more than that.
  7. We've been in relegation form for all of 2022. And many other points in TM's tenure. This isn't like the Sam Allardyce thing, where it's chucking away a safe pair of hands. For some it's more like the new light bulb is going to immediately short circuit and burn down the whole house.
  8. I can guarantee you I'll never look back misty eyed to Mowbray, no matter what comes next. Even if it's a Kean/Coyle mutant that's been fed through Jeff Goldblum's fly machine. And that's not all about insulting TM. It's just that you regret 50/50 type decisions you've made when they don't pan out. This isn't that. It's a no brainer. Rovers and TM have to part company for the good of them both. Whatever the future holds now is irrelevant to the past half a decade for me. Two separate entities.
  9. I thought that too. He didn't just lob it either, seemed to really give it some welly. Was surprised ref didn't book him. Take your top off for 5 secs = yellow. Chuck a smoking flare with force = no problem. Makes perfect sense.
  10. Drinking game.....take the edge off.
  11. Considerate of you to further explain the concept of level.
  12. That's Wigan got 2 League titles and an FA Cup in the last decade too.
  13. Don't think it was. Not best camera angle but by cut of grass looked clearly played on by whoever was at RB position. They were a meter or two behind rest of backline.
  14. Changed that for you. I've had a few pals that worked on the oil rigs. Did they enjoy being away from their families for months at a time. Nope, but they accepted it was a fair trade off for the increased wedge they got compared to the average. And they didn't moan about it once. Difficult to complain when you drive the flashest car on the street and take 2 more holidays a year to fancier resorts than everyone else. The football world showing how deluded it is...as ever.
  15. Tell that to Mitrovic, he was losing the plot tonight.
  16. Guessed at it 6 weeks ago, and it's looking a fair shout. Shame the predictions I actually have money on never come so close. Would love to take it to final game of season, but can't see it happening. I think we'll play all right for once, and give a good account of ourselves. But it will all end up for nought.
  17. More than Moise Kean getting the winner for Juve. Fairly impressive that.
  18. Coventry 99th min equaliser for me. Could well be 2pts would have done it come season end. Still fuming. Don't even know where the added 6 mins came from.
  19. Playing fast and loose with that word. Volvo's are safe. Dack's more an Alpha Romeo.
  20. Refs always seem to bottle it when advantage goes on for a while after the incident. Like their too scared to go all the way back. Absolutely should though. Edit: Another one right after ignored is taking the absolute piss.
  21. Difference for me is I dislike Tony Mowbray as manager of this club, and the death of a thousand cuts he's putting us through. I dislike Steve Kean as a human being, and always will.
  22. He had to for the safety of his dog.
  23. No one goes to 1 restaurant for the whole of their lives. If one is crap, they move onto another one and try that. Bit different being a football fan. Using that anology, we should all go support Man City. That's the Nobu of the North West. So let's get ourselves on the waiting list, or slip the host a large note and we're laughing right? If only it were that simple. Instead we're constantly scoffing the same old tripe, and regularly suffering from food poisoning.
  24. Arma to come on as sub and score a heartbreaking 91st min winner. 🤞
