  1. The thing about these rants against our own fans that always get me is how they ignore what has gone before. Focusing on "a poor first half" in their example. Those boos were a build up of days, weeks, months, and hours and hours of football, that had been mainly, absolutely awful. I don't agree with booing own players either, but if you're going to highlight it, then at least do it in a fair and realistic context. To claim fans were booing just because of one bad half, whilst simultaneously calling them "shortsighted" and "ignorant", is quite the position to take. As it shows a complete lack of understanding of the situation as a whole.
  2. Someone call Will Smith. An alien is wearing a Sam Gallagher skin suit.
  3. 6 officially, ref will add 3 or 4 more i think.
  4. Gonna be 6 or 7 mins injury time here. Long way to go. Edit: More like 10 now. All the best to CKR.
  5. Good this injury for them. Stops Rooney making another tactical change.
  6. Dack assist. Him and SG made a real impact. Different game.
  7. Here we go. Can they push on. Our season in 40 mins? 🤔
  8. Attempted to bamboozle Rooney with the 'shit defensive midfielder up top' rouse. One of Baldrick's cunning plans.
  9. Might as well throw everything at this now. I'd prefer to lose 5-0 than die wondering. Chuck a few subs on and go all out attack second half. We actually worry teams when we go at them. When was the last time we even tried it?!
  10. Ah crap, yeah, I'd relegated the first one to 5-0 weirdly. If only. Then wouldn't have been a record breaker.
  11. Barnsley just drew with Fulham, who beat us 7-0 on aggregate, so the maths pans out really.
  12. We score tonight, I'm convinced of it, and will take the pelters if wrong. The rest of it, resultwise, is anyone's guess. I'm feeling strong win vibes, but 1-1 is a strong option too.
  13. Yeah, he's a tool. Tbf, that's just their schtick now, arguing with each other. They won best radio show award last week: talkSPORT’s White & Jordan was named audio and radio show, the judges praising a ‘show aimed at and perfectly serving a passionate football audience with incisive and intelligent perspectives on the national game’. I do like listening to Jordan, some of his insights about club ownership are very interesting, having been there, done it, and lost £50 odd million in the process. And I love it when he sticks it to the agents, mainly Mino Raiola. That man is a scourge on the sport.
  14. Simon Jordan talking some sense. Although he does focus too much about just the money. What about the fan experience too? Why the hell should Boro fans miss out on watching a massive home cup tie because of Chelsea.
  15. For once the stats are all in our favour on this match: Won 7 of last 9 v Derby Won last 4 home games against them, only conceding 1 goal. They've only beaten us at home once in last 20 years (since 2001) Derby have lost last 7 away games straight, and only scored 1 goal in last 5 away. We all know that means one thing..........just kidding, we're actually going to win this one, just to keep the 'hope that kills' going. This lot are going to keep us torturously hanging on for a while yet, I reckon Bournemouth, the penultimate game of season, is when all hope will finally be extinguished. And yes, I'm feeling very positive this Monday.
  16. Fun that it's finally happening for them, but how's our pisspot looking? And how confident would I be of beating them? We'd probably get 3 penalties, miss them all, play against 10 men for half the game, and still let them win with a 93rd min howler. Guessing maybe an OG. 🙄
  17. Soon as Dack did that accidental stutter start, i was not expecting a goal. He should have reset. The keeper had pissed him about enough. Could have made him wait by addressing the ball again. Hindsight i suppose.
  18. Tbf both bets were a whisker away from landing. It's probably one of his best predictions to date.
  19. Or a rugby fan as it happens. I'm having one hell of an incredibly shit day! To top it all off I think my wife has Covid. 🙄
  20. Did a Gallagher warm up shot hit it?
  21. Good word. Feels like death of a thousand cuts at moment. All going against us, both self inflicted and luck. Ref decisions, injuries, games canceled, no striker in Jan, open goals, reds and suspended players, players unsettled in the window, rivals scoring 97th min winners.....regularly! 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ What a miserable 2/3 months.
  22. Was going to take a full on assault like that for the ref to finally find his yellow card.
  23. Yep, dunno why it can't just be structured differently. It was supposed to be to protect clubs. Have a special clause, owner can invest 50 million for example, but it can't ever be saddled to the club. If it's a success, owner can pull it back out in future. If not, owner loses the money. Call it the FFP exemption pot or something. Maybe I'm being naive, but seems fairly easy and workable to me. Could even work down at Salford City level for the class of 92. Still protects the clubs.
  24. Are you against the ffp rules then?
  25. We've put up some fight 2nd half. Most positivity I can muster.
