If we're all pinning our hopes on a fragile, recuperating Dack being the saviour, then it's a desperate situation. Shout out to the days of "I don't know where Dack fits in this team." Heady times. 😥 -

More Henry the way he's dribbling past the static cones. -

How many players at fault there - about 5? Shambles. -

May well be valid points but I'm still terrified of this match. A loss tonight and it's not just a blip, it's a full on crisis. Particularly a real confidence denting loss, say 2-0, where our goal scoring deficiencies continues. Not been this nervous in a long while. -

You weren't wrong. 70th odd minute and he's still getting booed by his own fans (well i assume so, it's too loud just to be the away support). -

Yeah, quite surprised by that. Thought they'd be letting the dust settle at the very least. Surely the Watford fans are going to give him hell. -

Absolute bellend. West Ham have a massive game tonight too. Radio saying he should be sacked and no other club sign him. Can't see that happening personally. Imagine putting that out in the public and thinking everything would be ok. Wtf does he do behind closed doors?! -

Bit of a pattern isn't it. Teams either hit form just before they play us, or failing that, they certainly find it during the match. -

Exactly, at least nodding across if it flies off at a bad angle, it might set up a late arriver to the box. 😂 Seriously though, he gets up to pretty much all of them, so frustrating, could be such an asset, particularly if practised in training, and then our players would anticipate it. -

Can someone teach Wharton how to nod a ball back across goal. Such a tall lad and wastes opportunities going for goal when the percentages are minimal. -

Either way, he seemed totally unaware of what was behind him, and the ball in was quite central. -

Who was Wharton looking for there?! His imaginary friend. -

Not going to argue with the lineup. Despite being low in the table and on bad form, I'm fully expecting Swansea to come at us hard, and we'll be on the backfoot. Particularly as we don't play with the ball now anyway. Let their possession tactic run out of steam, and then we've got good options from the bench to steal it. Not a bad plan for this fixture. Obviously, just ends up looking stupid if we're 2-0 down after 25 mins. -

Not excited to see the 2 new signings then. Always gives me a bit of a buzz, particularly the hype around Giles. -

I would normally get mad at players earning 100's of thousands a week acting like this, but tbh I can't blame Bale on this one. He's basically watching someone go through exactly what he's had for years, and can't do anything but laugh about it. Some of the press are painting it as Bale "laughing at" Hazard. Don't see it that way. Reckon he's laughing with him. He's thinking, yep, been there mate, I feel you. -

Yeah people, sorry to be a pain, but whilst there is information online about this, i note it's all from websites overseas. So i suspect there may be some form of injunction on it in this Country. Even though most people know who it is, best just to refer to him as that Everton player on the forum please. Thanks. -

As someone that is generally very much against 'cancel' culture, this is a situation I can fully get behind. In a matter of days MG has had his Nike deal binned, announced he will not train or play for Man Utd or England, had most of his teammates shun and unfollow him on social media, got his shirts open to free exchange in the club shop, and is now being removed from computer games. I think the big factor in this case is that we all have an amount of evidence to view and listen to that often isn't available when accusations are made. Playing devil's advocate, some could still claim that the evidence hasn't been verified yet, and it is still up to a Court to decide upon a guilty verdict and not the Court of public opinion. But the legal proceedings could go on for a year plus, and it doesn't feel right to have 8 year olds still banging in goals on a PlayStation, and the message that gives them. Hopefully, this sends a strong message to all about what is deemed unacceptable in society, and the swiftness of action against those that cross the threshold. -

He was acquitted and overturned at retrial. Not making a defence of him, just in strict legal terms he's now declared innocent. Obviously, will be very different situation if Greenwood is declared guilty, serves time, and then a club decides to sign him. If the current charges hold up, that club would be signing a confirmed rapist. -
Wasn't so long ago some of us were willing to swap him for Tony. I'll hold my hands up and admit i was. Now he's gone to a rival though, i fully agree with you, he's absolute bobbins. 😂

Having them on here does not mean they are condoned. Quite the opposite, it's highlighting an issue that needs addressing. No point sticking our heads in the sand. And maybe our fans seeing things like that might help encourage them to welcome JR back to the team and cheer him on the pitch, rather than the expected minority boos. Turn a negative into a positive and all that. -
January Transfer window 2022
Silas replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Yeah, you're right, makes no sense looking now. Guess i was thinking cos we never have a pot to piss in on transfers, but used to chuck wages round like confetti, but that's why we're 200 mill in debt right. I remember now. Think I've just been hoping for the full model (Prem in particular) to change for a while. Those ridiculous fees it got to of 150/200 mill, no club in the World can afford that. So Spanish ones all go bust. Agent fees too. Yes, they'd still get a cut of the new contracts, but hell of a lot less than transfer cuts. So, no incentive to push players around. Maybe wouldn't benefit us individually, but got to be a more sensible future for football.
