  1. How dare you! Think about this, you could have English Danny Murphy.
  2. Triple sub on the hour mark. Southgate's brain will be short circuiting watching that. Like aliens have landed.
  3. Now they've equalised, surely you take Navas off here. He'll cost them the game. Don't even know what other options they have, but on a yellow, at 39 years old, getting rinsed by Mbappe, any decent manager makes the brave decision to change it early.
  4. An Adam Wharton super fan. And he appears to have won a bag in the meat raffle.
  5. You seen any of those people knocking about? By my count they consist only of the BBC halftime panel, which was truly bizarre.
  6. Outfield maybe, Sommer way better than Pickford. I'm worrying about Jordan today. This Swiss side is going to test him way more than any game so far this tournament. Not sure he's up to it tbh, hopefully prove me wrong.
  7. Ian Wright just brought us up in ITV's Stick to Football Euro show. Discussing Mary Earps leaving Manchester Utd for money and Jim Radcliffe saying he needs to prioritise the 1st team. Wright said "You look at what's happening at Blackburn and Reading, it's not right." Then tried to mention it again and was cut off. Think he was going to quote the minimum wage salary bit. Obviously knows his stuff, but then he does present a lot of the women's football. Fun when only time we get mentioned on the bigger stage is for negative stories. Not for the fan takeovers, not for the Eid at Ewood, not for nurturing Adam Wharton and the great relationship he still has with the fans (very rare in modern football when a player leaves). Nope, let's just chat about 4 months at Crystal Palace instead. We get noticed for all the wrong reasons. Infuriating.
  8. I'd happily see Dumfries banned for a game for simulation. Same for any England player that did it. If u go down clutching your face when the foot was about 6 inches from it, you are cheating to stop a break away counter attack. In fact, I'd hav VAR step in with a red card and then ban too. Once that's happened a couple of times, the players would all stop doing it.
  9. Mainoo (on a card) for Wharton. And Foden (stinker) for Gordon. Wud give us a fighting chance these last 20 mins.
  10. Ref bottling a second yellow. That had to be one considering the threshold he set in 1st half.
  11. In contrast the ref on the other side is excellent. Ignoring and booking Portugal players for embarrassing dives. Booking Ronaldo for talking back, even though he's captain. He's taking no crap, and it's refreshing to see.
  12. Was it maybe offside, then VAR obviously doesn't check pen. Looked tight to me,.but commentators not mentioning that. In Prem they normally get feedback/further I fo from VAR. Doesn't seem to be happening in this Tournament.
  13. There's a still of a sharp elbow to the face on social media. At that speed, passing in opposite directions, could do some serious damage. Fractured cheekbones etc. I'm speculating tho. Fingers crossed he's ok and makes full recovery.
  14. Make a decent noise the Scotland crowd. Thought that in the first game too.
  15. Love nights like this. I'm always going to win regardless. Actually supporting Scotland and hope they qualify. But if they get battered or stitched by a last min penalty......that's going to be quite funny too.
  16. Saw this yesterday. Think he's one of the YouTube podcasters, that I'm never a huge fan of, but tbf he sums up situation pretty well:
  17. I can't think of a time when it has been so universally agreed that the England manager is getting things massively wrong. Maybe playing Scholes on the left wing comes to mind. But usually, there's 2 sets of opinions, people arguing either side etc. It feels here pretty much everyone agrees on 2 things - he has the wrong players out on the pitch, and the wrong tactics are being used. Very frustrating to go on like this game after game. He's also coming across as pretty arrogant in the interviews. Which is odd, considering the performances.
  18. It's a weird benchmark though. What, he wouldn't walk straight into the treble winning team from last season. Not really a slur on talent for me. If you're coming on as sub for that team, you're a hell of a player.
  19. Not like us to start doing our own down mid-Tournament. 😉
  20. Well James will be chuckling away then. Watched this today and did think it was harsh comparing him to 3 of the best of last 30 years in Rodri, Kroos, and Keane. But maybe he's onto something:
  21. Stat going round today the Rory had made 496 putt attempts from 3ft or under this season, and holed all 496. He then missed 2 in 3 holes. That is going to be a bitter pill to swallow.
  22. Specialist in sports law then. That maybe works as they look at it like a case, facts and evidence only. Think I like it. Too many refs (vars) just seem like people pleasers towing the company lines. American lawyers are animals, they're interested in pleasing no-one. They may be onto something. They are called the laws of football.
  23. It hit the black stantion behind the goal. Technically a bar. And was above crossbar by time it hit. Not the strongest occasion to be agreeing with Joey Barton.
