  1. You just can't let it go, can you lol I've seen the futuree and it's....
  2. It may surprise you, Biz, but I agree with you there. The past is gone and hate is unhealthy. My concern is about their intentions. There was not just one"error"/act of sabotage, but several. Also, there have been periods of so called stability before, but they have been brought to a sudden end by another act of sabotage. The Coyle business on its own means we must beware of what child protection workers might call "the rule of optimism" e.g. Believing that what we are seeing is progress; Filtering out or minimizing areas of concern; Focusing only on strengths and ignoring what is not working Overly positive interpretations of what is going on. Not that we can actually intervene or make a difference to anything Venky's do, but I suggest it is far too early to define everything, as fine behind the scenes.. I guess the trick is to prevent negativity influencing what happens on the pitch. I think TM and the players have done a huge amount in re-building a positive relationship between the team ( club?) and the supporters.
  3. But I still think we need a blend between strengthening the here and now and this kind of football deferred gratification. I have ti say I remain uneasy-even suspicious-about the Brereton signing.
  4. Lets hope we can keep him...
  5. Quite. That phrase will haunt them for ever..Respect the legacy, my ****
  6. Then we would have no need to worry!
  7. Aaghhh...and here's a new one for you.. "For Balaji so loved the Rovers that he sent his only begotten son...."
  8. I share your feelings, but it is hardly surprising that many fans are conflicted. Blimey, I am conflicted myself..........but I will never change my name!
  9. Except they sent a clown to our bedside- instead of a consultant. Then they stabbed us again after we got out of hospital....
  10. There was an article in the Guardian a few years ago, highly critical of FUP. Paraphrasing, it said that one indicator of its awfulness was that it would have prevented Jack Walker, but allowed the Venky's!!
  11. Well, it's no surprise that feelings are still raw. I was dreading them turning up at that final Oxford game. I am sure that even in our (third division) triumph, some would have given a very public negative reaction. Purely in terms of strategy, I would have tried to avoid promoting negativity in that moment. I am torn between doing nothing to damage an apparent change in Venky behaviour and that uncomfortable feeling of the victim survivor, treading on eggshells, so as not to disturb the abuser! There has been no reconciliation. The fanbase is split and discussion on every forum about Venky forgiveness creates a storm. Well that is hardly surprising, is it! Personally, my dissent is alive and kicking, but I am keeping my (powerless) powder dry. If I were Dustin Hoffman, I'd be telling Dr Szel that it isn't safe..
  12. Agree. Show pony in a rotten chicken circus....
  13. 100%.Well remembered. But Godin was just too close to resist! (Previous was "Wagot)
  14. ...or Gladwin, Caddis, Samuel hahaha..
  15. You never know, we may even blow it all on another one "for the future" lol
  16. Thanks. I have watched it a few times now. Commentary very fair. They couldn't have complained if we had scored 6 or 7. It looks like we did get 5 anyway. On another set of highlights Bannon seems to have a bit of a go at Raya, immediately after his/Raya's goal. A bit nasty , I thought. Still wondering where the previous derby no-shows came from!
  17. He had a good sense of humour apparently ....of all the justifications in all of the clubs in all of the world, why....
  18. Thanks. I was away. I can't bring myself to watch it...maybe in a few weeks...maybe never. The texts I was getting from my son in London told me all I need to know. The phrase "playing like a fcking Coyle team" does nothing for your spirits on a nightmare journey on a shit, privatised circus rail service!
  19. What a difference from the West Brom game! At the same time, I can't fool myself. These abject performances do seem to appear every few games, usually only for one 45 minute period. I can't help wondering if something happened in the international break or if players are unhappy with TM's tactics/selections . Anyway, turn up like that for two local derbies and two limp defeats and supporter anger are the only outcomes. A mini crisis...
  20. We could always pay Harrods prices for Poundstretcher goods...then leave them on the bench...
  21. I agree. TM does get it. I am sure of that. I heard him respond to a question at the end of last season about the fans, needing to let go of any negativity towards the owners and he said something about having too much affection for the supporters to comment on that...
