  1. Exactly! They have to build on this in January...
  2. It was alluded to on the lunch time news by a Leicester journo..without actually mentioning the V word!
  3. How many protestants does it take to change a light bulb? None...They live in eternal darkness!
  4. Oh come on! Surely, the point is that young children, for instance, or anyone else should not be stigmatised and actually blamed for their own disability...oops...now I am thinking you are on the wind up and I have fallen for it lol
  5. Some things you really shouldn't have to explain lol.. Anyway, have you ever wondered what we, the good people of Blackburn, must have been in previous lives to deserve Venky's? War criminals, child molesters?
  6. He shouldn't have said it..end of. Hugely disrespectful is the best that can be said of it. When I heard it, I just thought he was a prick! But I am sure that others capitalised on Hoddle's "pronouncement" for their own ends/to gain popularity/ publicity etc. I can't remember if he was sucked into the comment by some sort of set up.....but there can be no justification for him saying it(imo)
  7. When Mr Rao performs his tricks without a sound?
  8. Because the manager doesn't think he is good enough ...and plenty on here have seen nothing(so far!?) to make them disagree with that assessment.
  9. I just have an elephant's memory for pain! I had resigned myself to an undeserved West Brom winner yesterday....The courage of those last 17 minutes sustained us all through a terrible journey up the M6... Time later to reflect on the absence of another centre forward...
  10. I also have an image of Mike Newell in goal, but it might just be a great one handed save that got him sent off!
  11. Garner v Ipswich..around '87. The most infamous time was that 7-1 defeat at Shrewsbury. Don Martin went in goal, but the manager probably left an injured Jones on the pitch for too long...From memory, we had conceded 5 before Martin donned(!) the green jersey. So very proud of the players yesterday. We were so on top in that second half...the energy in that midfield..Harrison Reed WOW! Venky's must allow TM to build on this in January!
  12. Oh don't!...I have been trying to suppress that very worry.....
  13. As a fully paid up member of the John O'Mara Appreciation Society, I think this is a very balanced appraisal. I am worried by what I have seen and I am also slightly concerned about the possible dangers of the Ewood self fulfilling prophesy. Both Kevin Davies and Jimmy Quinn drew very negative responses from a crowd that they really needed to be on their side. Both achieved considerable success, once they were away from the frustrated Ewood crowd. I understand that Davies also had some health issues and that there were issues around the way Hodgson did/did not support him in a difficult dressing room. Thankfully, TM seems to be a much better man manager. The question for me is why we have invested so much money on one for the future, when the money might have been better spent on the here and now....but, of course, none of that is the fault of a nineteen year old....
  14. I think we have problems at both ends.I agree about the defending, but we really aren't scoring the goals, when we are on top...
  15. A bonfire of the vanities!
  16. If that really is true, there is no excuse.
  17. What I should have written!
  18. Quotations from hell .. "We are leaving the European Union." "We have signed Ben Brereton."
  19. Cue discussion of last transfer window!
