  1. He looks quite awful so far. Yesterday was the worst yet for me.... Really worried about what is behind the decision to sign him.Would obviously love to be proved wrong...
  2. Quite ...and if we had used the (apparent) £7 million to strengthen other areas of the team, we could have used the momentum...and been more in contention.. Got to say it doesn't feel right to me...
  3. Well it makes me nauseous. A tacky way of showing complete disrespect to our club. FOV!
  4. So was you know who...apparently...
  5. You just can't let it go, can you lol I've seen the futuree and it's....
  6. It may surprise you, Biz, but I agree with you there. The past is gone and hate is unhealthy. My concern is about their intentions. There was not just one"error"/act of sabotage, but several. Also, there have been periods of so called stability before, but they have been brought to a sudden end by another act of sabotage. The Coyle business on its own means we must beware of what child protection workers might call "the rule of optimism" e.g. Believing that what we are seeing is progress; Filtering out or minimizing areas of concern; Focusing only on strengths and ignoring what is not working Overly positive interpretations of what is going on. Not that we can actually intervene or make a difference to anything Venky's do, but I suggest it is far too early to define everything, as fine behind the scenes.. I guess the trick is to prevent negativity influencing what happens on the pitch. I think TM and the players have done a huge amount in re-building a positive relationship between the team ( club?) and the supporters.
  7. But I still think we need a blend between strengthening the here and now and this kind of football deferred gratification. I have ti say I remain uneasy-even suspicious-about the Brereton signing.
  8. Lets hope we can keep him...
  9. Quite. That phrase will haunt them for ever..Respect the legacy, my ****
  10. Then we would have no need to worry!
  11. Aaghhh...and here's a new one for you.. "For Balaji so loved the Rovers that he sent his only begotten son...."
  12. I share your feelings, but it is hardly surprising that many fans are conflicted. Blimey, I am conflicted myself..........but I will never change my name!
  13. Except they sent a clown to our bedside- instead of a consultant. Then they stabbed us again after we got out of hospital....
  14. There was an article in the Guardian a few years ago, highly critical of FUP. Paraphrasing, it said that one indicator of its awfulness was that it would have prevented Jack Walker, but allowed the Venky's!!
  15. Well, it's no surprise that feelings are still raw. I was dreading them turning up at that final Oxford game. I am sure that even in our (third division) triumph, some would have given a very public negative reaction. Purely in terms of strategy, I would have tried to avoid promoting negativity in that moment. I am torn between doing nothing to damage an apparent change in Venky behaviour and that uncomfortable feeling of the victim survivor, treading on eggshells, so as not to disturb the abuser! There has been no reconciliation. The fanbase is split and discussion on every forum about Venky forgiveness creates a storm. Well that is hardly surprising, is it! Personally, my dissent is alive and kicking, but I am keeping my (powerless) powder dry. If I were Dustin Hoffman, I'd be telling Dr Szel that it isn't safe..
  16. Agree. Show pony in a rotten chicken circus....
  17. 100%.Well remembered. But Godin was just too close to resist! (Previous was "Wagot)
  18. ...or Gladwin, Caddis, Samuel hahaha..
