Well, I am certainly convinced of your central point: the only way to preserve the long term health of the club is for the owners to go. Fourteen years of crap makes that abundantly clear to me. Also, I do worry about what child protection workers call "start again syndrome." The term is used to describe the over optimistic desire to ‘start again’ or ‘view the case with fresh eyes.’ This results in poor analysis of past history and parenting capacity. Interventions are tried again and again, with the absence of critical reflection as to whether outcomes are actually changing for the child. Enough is enough imo....

It reminds me of politicians trying to focus on the problem of "presentation", when the real issue is their policy and behaviour. But it is getting the space for someone to pursue the follow up questions, though, isn't it... All too often, Andy Bayes ( is it still him?)will chair the discussion and switch to another question on a completely different subject ..about meat and potato pies or something...Or, worse still, Bayes will read out a list of questions, jumbled together. I really needs one or two people, working together, with the mandate to pursue a question through all the obfuscation..
