  1. But.....the Premier League clubs have so much more money ...
  2. Yes. This is the awful thing about the Raya add-ons...A Premier League club with all its riches, dragging out the payments over several years...
  3. Getting access to Suhail is a very important step. I am quite prepared to give WATR time and space to engage with him. Obviously, the first steps in this process must be handled carefully. I certainly won't be nitpicking, just because we didn't hear about the meeting beforehand. As ever, though, WATR will have to remain mindful that this is still a "non trust situation". I am sure WATR will be alive to what is in it for Suhail against genuine positive outcomes in the running of the club.
  4. Do you think the recent signings actually signal a desire to get the club back to the premier league?
  5. For me this is about walking a strategic tightrope. I do think the Trust needs to be very careful about openly endorsing the protests. However, the business of being a critical friend is not without its own dangers for those fans, who give up their time and energy. Waggott et al will obviously have their own agenda to utilise the Trust to garner "credibility" with the fanbase... Hence, the Sinn Fein/IRA analogy lol...
  6. Hmm..You could almost think it was deliberate plan to relegate us to the second tier, so that the academy could make up half the first team..
  7. Agree totally. Out him! Suhail the snake... How has he managed to stay hidden so long in the undergrowth?
  8. I agree with the sentiment, but I have reached the conclusion that we would need to work smart i.e. most reward for least graft. In my view, the marches never get enough people and the noise will never reach India. I think some of the most impactful things have been the banners over key bridges on significant dates, which generated TV discussion and on line stuff. I do think that the increase in TV matches should provide opportunities, but we would have to have to work clever with a combination of planned and organic protests. An obvious problem would be the reluctance of many fans to put added pressure on a struggling team during the actual games. I am not the first to say this, but it would be good to give the Raos a war (or, at least, some negative publicity) at home in India. However, one significant barrier seems to be unwillingness in the Indian media...
  9. Ouch! David Dein..what a slimy, greasy arrogant turd!
  10. Not really. The poster is merely articulating his disappointment at the lack of loyalty to the club that nurtured him. Meanwhile, I suppose you are hoping for him to be a shining star, earning mega bucks..( I am hoping Rothwell gets into the England team and that Boris Johnson gets a knighthood...)
  11. "Dies IraC "lol. I can vouch for you.. I have been at several meetings, which you have flown back to attend!
  12. Cicero says no! The cost cutting nearly took us down last year. Further weakening a poor squad has been executed before by these charlatans. Twice, it cost us our league status. Hence, the remarks about deliberate relegation. There are not enough goals in this team. The defence needs strengthening and we need more creativity in the team.
  13. Do we think it is acceptable for any football club to bring in all this money and still leave the team as weak or weaker than last year? Last year we nearly lost the ship for the proverbial hap'worth of tar. Sometimes, I think they have dumbed down the club so much, that fans will accept anything. Tne owners and the Undertaker are taking the p****..
  14. Well, he already disappeared for a whole season!
  15. But we all knew that, didn't we? Everyone in the club has been saying that for years..and yet...another cheap sale, by a club "management" team, that pulls their own pants down.
  16. I was there. We didn't show up.....but..... that Courtney decision was crucial.
  17. Palace......fcking Palace... and stuff The Dave Clark Five too! The phantom of 1989.
  18. The whole football model stinks...and the same football authorities would think nothing of imposing FFP penalties on a struggling club, disadvantaged by their own rules etc. On another, similar note, I am just listening to the journos going on about the change in structure of the Champions League, which is purely to appease the "break away" clubs and its impact on our own FA Cup-removal of replays etc..
  19. A decent keeper would have had us mid table. I haven't counted, but I would wager that both keepers probably cost us 10 points...
  20. They didn't boo Adam Blacklaw, John Connelly Johnny Price or Marshall Burke...
