  1. Terrible to read this. The club really has serious problems, if it has drawn that response from you, Parson. It has a whiff of 1960 about it. The last time I regularly missed -through boycotting- was not easy. It was like an angry bereavement lol. I still kicked every ball etc. This time, at the last minute, I have just decided to move to the lower JW. Given my recent birthday (and the 7 added ifollow away games)I decided that it wasn't the worst deal for me. I guess it is similar for the "young adults" too. If it had been last September, it would have been an entirely different matter. The pricing structure for non-concession supporters-i.e most -just doesn't seem reasonable and it is clearly an engagement own goal. If you are reading this, Mr. Waggott, see Parson's post as the canary in the mine!
  2. You may be onto something there. A key factor here is Brentford's previous Spanish goalkeeper coach - now at Arsenal. Apart from knowing Raya, maybe his coaching actually improved the player. Personally, I could easily see and accept why Rovers sold him. Too many heart sink moments like the one at the away end against the same Brentford a couple of seasons ago! A fair judgement of the decision really rests on the percentage sell on, which the club will be keeping under wraps. Echoes of Cairney and, maybe, Nzonzi are troubling. The Walton replacement mistake is separate to any assessment of Raya in 2019.
  3. Only one thing mattered. He wasn't anywhere good enough...
  4. Both shit for me...and (sorry but) I am just sick of it...( he said with a sigh)
  5. But is he any good though? ........( said a local bishop)
  6. It is so bloody basic, isn't it. Last season, there were six away games, where we scored two and still lost. From memory, we conceded 63 goals last season and 69 the season before. Too many. FFS,Tony.....SORT IT OUT!
  7. Is it also irrelevant that we didn't properly sort out the defence and goalkeeper situation last close season...or does it begin to indicate a repeated pattern?
  8. How is it boring? Maybe, it shows that the people running transfer business are just not canny enough...That seems very relevant to me, as a supporter of many years.
  9. There's been a Blackburn Rovers in South Africa(Southern Cape) since 1965, but they only stole our name. They didn't steal our badge.
  10. Maybe, we should offer Mulgrew to Brentford. He could run their twitter account!
  11. Like many others, I felt he cost us too many goals. I thought the decision to sell him was reasonable, based on what I had seen with my own eyes. That was after Steele and before I saw Walton! I did feel the fee was a bit small. Raya has certainly performed a lot better this last year. Maybe, he has improved with a better defence and better coaching. He has certainly improved. A bit galling to see Brentford making all that money on our product, I will concede that.
  12. My own view, pretty much...apart from occasional good games. Evans to Stoke, Johnson to ...a Burger Bar and Morsy to Ewood Job done for me.
  13. I must admit when I actually watched it, I didn't find it unreasonable. Personally, I could listen to TM all night. He has always been good value, when I've heard him and I am sure I would want to play for him. For me, this groundhog day, transfer window shitshow isn't about TM, but lack of funding and the diminished, dumbed-down infrastructure....... and we know who to blame for that.
  14. I guess that would be Morsy Code for we tried again, but.....
  15. "Don't judge us until September"..(August 2011, when we started the season short of center-halves)
