Yep. I think next season we will see the problems we all feared for this season-unless we go up. My youngest is a super loyalist and bites back at anyone, who he sees as pessimistic etc. Last night, he was flat, downcast and "resigned" to the fact that the club had blown it with their neglectful January window-blown it for the supporters and these honest, young players... Other teams do seem to have the momentum at the moment, but if we can just accumulate enough points ...until April, when the cavalry comes.... Then again, the trouble is that our team seems to have the goody goody Kevin Costners, while the others have the dirty fighters like Jack Palance... Maybe we should have signed Volodymyr Palahniuk..Those Ukranians don't mess about....

I think it is almost inevitable, that old grudges re-surface, when the January window and February slide are reminiscent of so many previous seasons. For me, TM did a brilliant job to get us to second in the table with this squad. No argument there, surely! As someone said earlier, we saw this Feb/March pattern in the 80's. One difference for me is that this was the first time in a decade that we have made any semblance of a challenge. At the same time, if we don't make it to the premier league, we will have such gaping holes to fill in the summer, losing at least £10 million worth of on-field assets for free. This makes our pathetic January transfer window so deflating.
