  1. Another of those "I reach for my revolver" phrases...
  2. Now that is class...and see what you started. But what if Dylan was a Rovers fan? Mani says Muric will be comin' on trial, That's what stagnation must be like after a while...
  3. e.g The infamous John Obi Mikel shenanigans between Chelsea and ManU -at least six years before his involvement with Rovers!
  4. It seemed deliberately perverse-a bit like playing Gallagher on the wing...or playing an electric guitar... in the bath!
  5. Many thanks for posting this on such a sad day. Stuart was remarkably restrained!
  6. I think it is a gross minimisation, which, for me, is like listening to someone scraping their fingers down a blackboard. My own personal bete noire is "badly advised" After Mary Poppins et al were saying they had learned from their mistakes-again- we had the pleasure of Owen Coyle!! Be very afraid!
  7. That will be the line, I am sure. I am worried that Covid may provide a "respectable" excuse for throwing in the towel-apologies LBJ!
  8. I was in that same throng on the pitch at Burslem after he scored too. And I will always remember the large Rovers following, chanting, "Nice One, Stuart" for one of our very own. So sad. One of my favourite players of all time. Thanks for the happy memories. God Bless.
  9. Hoping it won't fall into the same category, as that tasteless V's chicken advert!
  10. Exactly! Got to admit that after watching him-great saves plus disastrous errors- I was definitely in favour finding an improvement. I assumed that would mean selling him and finding a better replacement. It's just that he has improved, since his departure and we haven't found a decent replacement... On both counts, you really have to wonder why.
  11. e.g. Dalglish meeting Roy Keane at David O'Leary's house, when the psycho was still a Forest player!
  12. Funny old game! I remember rejoicing, watching United and Phil Jones at Sunderland, after the final whistle, getting the news that they had lost the league right at the death. Then, I realised that the result meant Rovers losing out on a further £1 million, as part of our original sale! Didn't quite stop my joy, though!
  13. Well, I know what The Donald would call it....
  14. Partly because he was still hoping Utd would come in for him at the 11th hour. I read that in an interview in an Irish paper
  15. I think you are right about Stoke. However, I don't think Evans has delivered consistently in all the years he has been here. Before his injury against Preston, I was actively hoping Stoke would take him off our hands...for a fee.
