  1. ? There's more chance of training with Theresa May.
  2. I have no interest in other competitions because I have better things to do when the finals are played on nice warm weekend evenings. Weekday evenings or even traditional 2nd Saturday in may 3pm cup finals are different. The first I am sat on my couch munching pringles with nothing better to do after work than watch the champions League final (before it went on to minority TV) and occasionally I am at home for the 2nd but that's become rarer as I have got older. Theres a world out there. Maybe it's coincided with my contempt that has slowly built up for the over hyped, over paid, largely bang average top flight football. The premier League to me is a snooze. I don't even speed watch (30 second skip till the score changes then watch the goal) my recordings of MOTD 1&2 these days
  3. A few years ago there was only one game I would watch on TV without fail and that was the champions League final on ITV. I never watched a full game in the league or knockout stages but I'd watch the final. This was also because it was on a Wednesday evening after a day at work. I have no interest whatsoever in watching the final now it's on Saturday even if it was on every Freeview channel simultaneously. I gave up religiously watching the FA cup final about 10 years ago long before they destroyed it further by having it at stupid oclock on a Saturday evening so 95% of attending fans can't even get home. Tbh I only watched England in the world cup because it was sunny and I was holidaying in Wales ?
  4. There is no building under the current ownership. Never will be.
  5. I am surprised people are only now realising that he's a deluded gobshite. After all he has agreed to work for Venkys. That only attracts that type of person
  6. Agreed. Like cricket the champions League is made out to be a big deal on sky sports news and talksport when frankly 90% of the country couldn't give a rats arse. These days nobody even cares about a home ashes series because it's on pay TV. Two competitions with low viewing figures when they should be getting over 10 million on terrestrial tv
  7. I know he is only young and putting my massive scepticism to one side, the lad could do without the tag of being labelled as a 'u17 world cup star' considering he played 2 out of 3 games for a side that was beaten easily 3 times.
  8. Are the plain backs a legacy of names and numbers?
  9. All this since nobend were remotely significant .....if you can call winning a 12 team league in an obscure sport significant ?? https://www.historylearningsite.co.uk/inventions-and-discoveries-of-the-twentieth-century/inventions-1900-to-1990/
  10. Not sure why people even read the nobendfc forum. They are an irrelevance best left alone in their perrenial wilderness. Still posh wnking over 1888/89 ??
  11. The worrying thing is the tits actually discussed the penalty proposal in November 2018 instead of saying "don't be a stupid c***". The game is safe in the hands of these custodians ?
  12. The former ref on talksport mentioned the penalty one too last night. Maybe the drugs wore off and the incompetent brainless twonks realised the stupidity of it?
  13. Also no more 'doing a Tugay'. Subbed players must leave the field at the nearest point. And all goals disallowed off hands or arms even if accidental
  14. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/11655143/football-rules-how-will-new-ifab-laws-affect-the-game Just heard an ex-ref talking on Talksport (didn't catch his name) and he discussed law changes coming into affect next season at all levels of the game. Three of them took my attention. One isn't mentioned in the article I have linked. The most bonkers one is that ALL penalties will be as if it's a penalty shootout out. In that once the penalty is missed the ball is dead. No rebounds, no 2nd chances. Why??? Because the law makers are on cocaine, that's why The next big one is attacking players have to be 1 metre away from the wall at free kicks. No attackers standing in the wall. Why??? Because the law makers are on cocaine, that's why. The law change not mentioned is that the ball will now be active from a goal kick as soon as it is touched. Players will still have to be outside the 18 yard box but once it is kicked the ball is fair game.
  15. Jesus. Obviously descriptives such as halves and quarters are used when viewed from the front or back. A new low for BRFCs ??
  16. Same reason that made me finally stop going after the Bolton game in Dec 2011
  17. Has numb nuts gone yet?* * Is it time for this Bowyerism? ?
  18. This fella is lauding Nobend as being in some halcyonic phase in their less than illustrious club history. Nobend are 10th in the second tier. On the cusp of 9th ? Let that sink in for one moment.
  19. Supporters? Surely you mean customers? This is 2019 ? Like the manger of Poundland he lives and dies by what customers think and act.
  20. We’re having a visit from old PNE And all the talk is about types of tea So put on the kettle and make up a brew Because they are odds on to win by a clear goal or two
