  1. £7m......SEVEN FECKIN MILLION!! Jesus Tony. You are lucky you still have a bucket of goodwill after promotion. Talk about a suspect eye for talent
  2. It's been devalued because the governing bodies bought into the squad bullshit and allowed clubs to field joke lineups. This in turn with the obscene amount of money losers get on the premiership spelt the competition's death knell. It is now held in contempt by the majority of the top 50 clubs. Even league 1 sides field the 3rd string in cup games now.
  3. Why are people still online fencing about attendences? Just enjoy the game if you do go but realise that the Rao's and Steven Kean was the modern day 1960 cup final ticket fiasco. If they are lucky your grandchildren may see the exorcism, just like we did from 92 to 2010. But until then the current attendance levels are the status quo. And as far as the FA Cup goes why should fans bother when football clubs management treat it with utter contempt?
  4. Promotion at a canter now Stuart. Though the first month or two was spent in the doldrums and the minimum expectation of 1st was missed despite having the best squad, best budget, best facilities etc far outstripping the 2nd best club in league one by some distance. This isn't to say that I am not grateful for promotion as a lesser manager could have easily stuffed it all up big time. But revisionism to one side the reality remains that the same doubts about Mowbray 'in the Champonship' remain from the 2016/17 season. The club still desperately needs another promotion to fix all the off the field problems that have never really gone away. Is Mowbray that man?
  5. 4.5 years on and it's still all about giving it a good go and excuses. Though we are where I expected us to be this season but that's no reason to ignore incompetent game management and tactics. 2/10 Tony, must do better
  6. 1. How many home games have you attended this season? None 2. How many away games have you attended this season? None 3. How many home games do you typically attend each season? None 4. How many away games do you typically attend each season? None 5. What prevents you attending home games? My utter contempt for the club's owners 6. What would encourage you to return to Ewood? New owners preferably with strong historical links with the club 7. Did you attend the Oxford United home fixture. No 8. Any other comments relating to home matchday attendance? It's not as much as it was before the current owners.
  7. Once a game starts that's it, no refunds. Rovers v Wimbledon back in the day was called off minutes before kick off after it only started raining at 2.00pm!!!!!! Then their players didd belly slides all over the pitch. Remember the game was rearranged for a weekend (free fa cup day??) and they were allocated just the first two vertical rows in the Darren end ??
  8. Never forgive. Never forget. If we never heard their names or saw their faces again it wouldn't be a day too soon. Stumbling upon a slightly above average manager is hardly worthy of forgetting the wanton destruction. Just thinking back to the Coco days and the unswerving backing they gave him in the face of all rational reasoning makes me want to rip their heads off.
  9. Mowbray with not get this club promoted. Not now, not ever. Not that that is a negative at this stage of the rebuild. But a 3.5 year deal? Utter fkin madness.
  10. Not sure that waa the case when you know who got a new deal ? take it all with a big pinch of salt Not sure I'd of been throwing round a 3.5 year deal though. 1 year at the most. Last year he didn't even quite achieve what he should with the best team and resources in League 1 (1st) and this year he's not showing he can be the man to get us where we need to be sooner rather than later to finally get rid of the parasites whilst the debt is still wipeable by the rewards on offer.. He's a footings man rather than the Messiah and a 1 year rolling would have been more than sufficient. As for showing faith he'll be sacked quick sharp if the situation arose, just as he'd be off quicker sharp if a better placed offer came up. There is no loyalty in football and potentially burdening youtself with having to give another manager a big payoff isn't good business.
  11. It's called form Rightly they are being called for what they are at present, awful. In fact bloody awful.
  12. Shocking and embarrassing result in a derby. A 2nd walloping away from home in 3 matches. Anything other than being gloomy tonight is just wierd.
  13. Wow. He's not been a lemon for 5 minutes. I could do that in that city side ?. As soon as he pulls on an England shirt with expectations he's gash. Typifies the modern footballer.
  14. My memory is hazy. It may not have been Sunderland. It was before the 1992 season too.
  15. I don't think I have read so many fancy words to describe how sterling is made to look better than the sum of his parts by his brilliant City team mates. The England Raheem Sterling, surrounded by lesser team mates, is the real Raheem Sterling. Fragile, self entitled and average. In worthy England news we only take up our euro 2020 play off spot should we finish 3rd in our 5 team qualifying group. Should that near impossible event happen the England setup would be imploding anyway
  16. There is no justification at all for the late purchase surcharge. Not one single valid excuse. It's a disgrace. A huge boil on already spotty backside.
  17. My expectation is inconsistency, frustration with a decent smattering of fine performances whilst not having to look down
