  1. It's more to it I would presume, Gav. 1) Northwest vs London 2) Squad player vs First XI 3) Benitez vs Curbishley
  2. Don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but Dunny's given a good interview on RoversWorld, where he also talks about his body mass index..
  3. 1. I have no problems with Lucas leaving for Wham, he clearly wants a new challenge and a new atmosphere. 2. £1.25m isn't bad, looks like the not very reliable fansfc mentions £2m though - which is pleasing. 3. We need a replacement asap, I'm not overly confident in this area yet - but I trust Sparky will fix this within two weeks at least. In the meantime, young Jay Mac or Mickey should do the job. 4. I don't think Brett will be affected much, I've never seen him mention Lucas amongst his closest friends, and he's established enough to do well on his own anyway. Good luck to you Lucas, I second PG's post to the full.
  4. It's always a scare when someone injures a knee, but until the scans are ready there's no way of knowing what kind of injury it is. Let's hope his cruciates are ok.
  5. Dunn is like the ex-girlfriend you want just because the fat pr1ck you go to school with wants her..
  6. "It shows something about the boy's character that he's prepared to drop down from the Premiership to play for Burnley." OT I know, but this quote from Steve Cotterill regarding the loan deal for Eric Djemba-Djemba is worth it.
  7. Now who's smoking herbs.. someone needs to get this thread back on track. Somehow I don't think it will be Abbey.
  8. No problems, but I'm not Ronny either. You've probably never met me, unless I ran into you in Amsterdam! With Bjarte or pks, I might add.
  9. As I said, pre-coffee.. I'm not Bjarte though, and he hasn't got good knowledge of football either. So that's two wrongs for you..
  10. Would do a whoosh, but it wasn't really good enough. Pre-coffee humour..
  11. Reserves got beaten last night, with Joe Garner scoring his eight reserve team goal of the season. Not a bad tally playing for a side fielding youth + donkey Matteo. Did anyone watch this? Brown, Taylor, Matteo, Nolan and Peter with senior appearances to show for in the XI last night, hardly proven Premiership players any of them though. No familiar names in the Man City XI except keeper Schmeichel (who's surely well past his best now?) and Danny Mills. Rovers.co.uk report
  12. Benni has looked sharp in this area too though, even if half of his goals comes from offside postions.
  13. Don't know about the position, Bellamy, he's played there for quite some time now. Granted he is a right footer, but I don't really think you can blame his faults on being out of position - it's a bit easy on him. I still think he's an excellent defender though, and very little would please me more than to see him sign an extension in January.
  14. True! Also, Derbyshire doesn't really look fully developed, unlike Bentley who's 22 after all. Without getting too technical..
  15. It was live for me, because I cruelly broke the law and watched it online.
  16. Actually, the match I saw live was broadcasted with a 2hr delay on Canal+.
  17. As I've said (and probably others) before, he does need quite a lot of muscle power, but I'm sure he'll grow into a more physical player in a year or two. He's shown good awareness, technique and pace, and has what it takes to make the starting eleven in a few years - judging from the few matches I've seen him. Keep it up!
  18. To quote the Art Sport commentator: It's three minutes from time, they are three nil up, but he still goes head first to clear a ball on the midway line. Determination and work ethic. Loving it.
  19. Watched The Usual Suspects the other night, one of those films I always planned to see - but never did, until now. Great film, great story, great acting.
  20. Also, I am sure Birmingham will take into consideration the players' wish to play for a club closer to his family. They always do, don't they?
  21. I actually think, especially at this time with Reidy injured, Savage is the most important member of the first team. He's ageing, which is the only possible reason I can see why we should in fact sell him, but he'd probably do a job for any team in the Premiership with his tireless running. Those who don't see his value for Blackburn Rovers are ignorant.
  22. Oldboy was the find of the year for me, I expected nothing and got an Asian Kill Bill.
