  1. We're also being linked with a 22 year old Czech midfielder, who is wanted by Bayern Münich, HSV, Rosenborg (pick the odd one out ) and Everton amongst others. He's supposed to be valued around three million Euros, which I am sure some of the Amsterdam travellers on here can change to £.. about £2,2m? Tomas Sivak, I believe his name is, link is on skysports.
  2. If this is your "fun", you should go elsewhere. Muppet. Welcome to the board, Max. What Italian side do you symphatise with, Roma or Lazio?
  3. If he signs for a club like Aston Villa or Newcastle, I don't care how many years he's performed well for us anymore.
  4. More injuries... ... to Newcastle that is. Somewhat OT, but I can't help thinking that NUFC has about ten senior players injured at all time every year. Hardly just bad luck, probably time to do an internal checkup on the staff if you ask me.
  5. Ooijer is fastly becoming this seasons' Nelsen - I really think he's that good. If only he had pace..
  6. A good away trip against a mediocre side with a good stadium.. ehh.. Prague?
  7. I'll take that bet, Modes Seems like we were luckier than most here, after following the advice of our Dutch friends. Most of you lot stayed on to the stadium (right?), we left the train the stop before. A miles walk appr. to the stadium, and ending up on Feyenoord's side of the wall of policemen - luckily no colours showing though. But at least we went straight in to the stadium and got good seats.. left Centraal Station Amsterdam at 6!
  8. Huh, I'm looking through the videoes to see if I can spot someone familiar, when this one pops up. I was sitting right behind the bloke singing in the end. What are the odds..
  9. Nah, mate, I just told him you were into that kind of thing. In all seriousness though, I left Paal outside my hotel, he was "going to the airport".
  10. Savage doesn't hold anything though, he's running all over the place. That's his strenght (strange as it might seem) and it effectively ruins every chance of him being a holding midfielder like Tugay - I think. If I'm not mistaken, the combo of Reid / Savage hasn't always worked out that good - because his slowness aside, Tugay does a lot of work just by being in the right defensive position. That being said, I won't totally exclude the idea of a Savage / att.mid. player combo, because he has all the defensive qualities to handle a role like that. Problem is, he will lose a lot of his game if he's to hold back on his running, and his passing will probably never be more than decent.
  11. I take it this was Thursday evening? Me and PKS went to Leider Plane for a few beers and one-or-two homosexual approaches (PKS being hit on [literally..] by a fellow Norwegian- worth the trip alone actually). But by that time most of you lot were busy elsewhere it seems, and the few Brits we saw were watching that awful Ashes "sport"..
  12. Yes, I've seen it. Decent film, not spectacular, but decent.
  13. What did he do, kick the wall? He seemed very pleased with his efforts..
  14. They don't usually charge you for the window, it's what's inside.. so I hear anyway. The match certainly wasn't marred by crowd trouble, more like lack of creativity and spark. Amsterdam didn't really have the spark I was hoping for either, even though the brownieeaters seemed to enjoy themselves. Bloody trains ruined the Thursday night out..
  15. I agree with you, however you shouldn't be using text speak. (cue: mod to link you to "forum rules").
  16. From a internet cafe in Amsterdam, a few thoughts on the game.. First of all, the support was great. I didn't hear the Feyenoord fans more than a few times, and there was a lot of them! "I shagged your mom in Amsterdam", priceless. However, the game didn't reflect the fans' noise I'm afraid, it was a rather dull performance without the attacking spark from Rovers. They had a lot of chances in the 1st half, should've been up with at least one goal at half time.. Whatever they were feeding Bentley with in the start of the season, he's full now. Try something else! The police did well to keep the Feyenoord hoolies away, it was a lot of problems with the trains though. The policemen told us to go off at the first stop when we entered the train on Amsterdam Centraal - which we didn't due to some really helpful Feyenoord-fans on the train. I've got no idea why they told us this, and no idea where we really should've gotten off, but as we headed for de Kuip- I was glad we had our two Dutch friends with us - cause we ended up at the wrong side of the policeguards. (Thanks guys, you were great!) It kicked off ten seconds after we entered the tunnel though, looked like some idiot were shooting missiles of some sort, and there was minor fighting between some Feyenoord-fans and the police. I didn't hear about any troubles involving Blackburn-fans though, we all behaved well (there's always a few idiots though, 'we hate pakis' and all that - didn't hear that during the game though, thankfully.) Tugay looked like he had a few drinks after coming off, cause while we were waiting to get out of the stadium (back in Amsterdam at one o'clock FFS) he acted like a king. Ipod and big earphones, just messing about while the others ran some rounds to clap the fans and cool down. He really likes the attention though, and we sure as hell like him. Rovers songs crossing every canal in the city on Wed night, good times
  17. In Amsterdam too, will get a few hours sleep now to get back on track, before hitting some pub. Where are people going tonight then?
  18. Not surprised to be honest. I think Sparky is looking for a more complete midfielder (ala Reid), not necessarily just a creative one. I would say most of his signing illustrates just that preference.
  19. Seconded. Look at Newcastle, struggling with just three fit defenders - not to mention all the other problems. Man am I glad I don't support that majestic club upon Tyne. Currently enjoying a cup of coffee, a little round of poker online, will pack my things soon. Four hours to departure time from Torshov, Oslo - CAN NOT WAIT! For discussions' sake, what kit is people bringing? Since we're playing in our red, I'll bring my Kappa away kit for the match. (plus a jacket, to avoid a knife in the gut after the match)
