  1. I'd wager they'll be keen to keep him until the 20th August unless our valuation is met - whatever that looks like (I mean, who is even qualified to determine what it should be?!). If the case doesn't go well (for Venky's) then he'll be off to the first bidder.
  2. A celebratory drink at best. I’ll be partying like we’ve won the champions league when that lot finally fuck off, though.
  3. These lads were our equivalent in the German second tier last season. We look miles off it unsurprisingly.
  4. Our options from the bench last season were appalling to say the least. This comings season’s will blow that out of the water, though.
  5. You may just about still get 11/2. A license to print money as Mercer would say.
  6. ‘Blackburn are speaking with X’ ’Issue over terms and length of deal’ ’Probably won’t get done but could. Come back next week for more of the same’.
  7. Cooper is just this years Batth. On top of that we have even less of a pot to piss in than this time last year. What a tragic time to be a Rover.
  8. We probably have spoken to Cooper et al’s representatives as Nixon implies. However I don’t see why he finds it so funny; we then clearly offer them such a derogatory amount / shit terms, which means they won’t touch us with a barge pole. This summer really is shaping up to be a cracker.
  9. Lump on the relegation odds soon, because it’s now becoming known outside of Blackburn just how much of a mess we’re in:
  10. In talks with Liam Cooper according to the LET. https://tinyurl.com/y8brf75w
  11. Szmodics may keep the lights on slightly longer, but certainly beyond next summer at the very latest (Easter perhaps) they/we are goosed.
  12. Exactly this. Personally speaking I wouldn't care about what he's got to say, because at the end of the day he won't have a clue about the bigger picture or direction of the 'owners'.
  13. A damning indictment of our recruitment team too. Rovers just absolutely stink from top to bottom - a shell of this once proud club.
  14. They’d be able to though with a Szmodics sale and more Wharton cash in January. Technically it could go on til next summer you would assume. Then we have nobody to sell.
  15. ‘Why would we want Yamal when we have Igor Tyjon’ Steve Waggott, August 2024
  16. At least the Indian courts involvement should ensure this can’t go on for much longer than a year or so (unless they back down), because beyond Szmodics the squad is barely worth more than a couple of million between the lot of them. The funding through transfers will run dry once the last Wharton instalment is in.
  17. 11/2 to drop does seem like a ‘license to print money’ as Mercer would say. We’re about to find out just how good a manager Eustace is, that is for sure.
  18. I would bet very decent money that this is exactly what will happen. Then I’ve read we’re due another Wharton instalment in January. Death by a thousand cuts.
  19. Akanji would be our best defender for a start.
  20. Absolutely zero chance we spend any kind of money like that IMO. Unless something drastic changes it will be freebies and loans at best.
  21. You would imagine Eustace's agent will be putting out feelers for something else...few with integrity will want to be associated with this car crash which is coming next season.
  22. As I said the other day, the only hope is if the Indian courts don't budge then the end game has to be coming because Szmodics aside, you'd struggle to get a couple of million for the lot. Keeping everything crossed that this season is the last of their disastrous reign. We'll be left in an absolute state - likely League One at best, but IMO bring it on if it means they are gone.
  23. Their ‘end game’ at Rovers cannot come soon enough. I thought we’d be stuck with them forever but unless something changes big time with the Indian government then that isn’t looking likely, thank f*ck.
