This will be our 6th defeat at Ewood so far this season. We only lost 6 at home in the whole of the 22-23 season.

It was at 0-1 if we’re honest. As I said earlier, reckon it will be 3/4.

2-0. All too obvious.

Well that’s game over already. Yet another Ewood defeat incoming. It will be by a few too IMO.

Perhaps so with some of the smaller PL clubs, but some of the best CMs in the league are of the opposite mould - Enzo, Mac Allister, Fernandes, McGinn, Odegaard - just off the top of my head (there will be many more). I’d be highly surprised if he’s here next season because he possesses so much quality. He’s raw, but a PL outfit will no doubt think they can sharpen him up.

Fantastic news. For the love of God though - if there is a release clause, it better be a very pricey one!

Ennis wasn't even getting a kick in his last mini injury-free run, so I can't see him getting more than a few minutes in place of Semir. And that's if he can stay fit between today and tomorrow; as Jim alludes to; it won't take much!

It’s not just our record against them, it’s even worse against Alex Neill. Surely time to get one over on him?!

It’s all become very odd with Ennis. He actually looked half decent in his cameo‘s pre-his latest injury. He’s supposedly been back fit for a couple of weeks at least and he can’t get a kick even when we’re desperate for goals. One can only assume he’s a nuisance off the pitch or simply not putting in the yards.

The owners won’t allow it. Broughton/JDT are only allowed to bring in players with re sale value. I would imagine the reason we don’t bring in more physicality and big buggers is because they’re naturally less adept at playing the ‘creating value’ way too (in addition to the age factor above).

‘Leonard would ideally be on loan at a league one club’ is a quote I heard from someone close to the goings on at the club. It says a hell of a lot that he’s preferred to both Ennis and Telalovic. Big Sam will be our knight in shining armour for the two games that he’s back fit for before getting injured again.

Never the other way round is it?! You could probably count on a few fingers the amount of times we’ve scored either a last gasp winner or equaliser in recent seasons. I can name 10+ just off the top of my head for the opposition!

That and the opposition knowing we lack height and physicality throughout the side, not to mention having a nervous GK. But hey. We’re ‘creating value’. Apparently.

Anyone know the last time we lost 5 at home by this stage of the season? Ewood’s been a tough place to claim 3 points from in recent seasons gone by - that’s certainly not been the case since August!

I don’t know what I’m more fuming about, the late and very obvious sucker punch (it’s never the other way round with Rovers is it), them beating us YET again or our continued appalling set pieces. Are we ‘creating value’ by passing them short every single time too? They do not, and will not ever work. Sort it out, JDT, it’s embarrassingly poor.

Fuck sake - I knew that was coming. Compare our absolutely shocking set pieces ALL game with theirs and there is the difference. It’s like men vs boys when they do the novel thing, of actually crossing a ball (and yes I know the goal came from the second ball in). Absolutely fuming. And as I say, it was so bloody obvious it was gonna happen.

Indeed. Get our noses in front and we look like we can score 2/3+. Go behind and we consistently look like we could play until midnight and not score. Let’s hope tonight is different, but like you, I carry little hope.
