  1. If Nixon has any kind of credible story whatsoever about who our next manager would be he would be sharing the news now, not hanging fire for 24 hours. Will just be more guff.
  2. As a minimum you imagine it has to be someone very close to him with an axe to grind. Responding to articles that were posted in different languages etc.
  3. Bristol City have a very tough run in - they have to play the top three yet, all away from home.
  4. I’d be going for Gerrard too like CG, IF we are not taking the short-term approach (which I would personally be doing - e.g. a massive 6-month incentive for a guy like Dyche). Reason being I don’t think Gerrard would have to do much managing between now and the end of the season. Let Lowe and Johnson get on with the coaching and his presence and aura alone would be a huge shot in the arm for a bunch of Championship players. You’re seeing it with Lampard at Coventry. Gerrard’s involvement would also IMO push Venky’s closer to the exit door as we’d suddenly be remembered by the media.
  5. A quick glance on Twitter shows he’s just done a press conference for his current side ahead of the weekend. Would likely rule him out given he’s not in london hob-nobbing with our motley crew.
  6. The fact we’re even debating Karanka illustrates the true shit show that Venky’s have turned us into. We can only hope they pull a Eustace or JDT out of the bag because Karanka would be a horrific appointment. One blue nose commented on social media how Karanka made his bad bout of covid even worse during the pandemic.
  7. As dumb as Waggott and Suhail are, surely they know it’s gonna be open season on them if it is Karanka and he starts poorly. Seems pretty unanimous across our fanbase that he’d be an appalling appointment.
  8. That was ten years ago now; he’s had no success since then. The names seem to be getting worse by the hour. A high-incentive six month contract for a decent manager was always going to be wishful thinking with this lot.
  9. Give him a break, he passed away over fifteen years ago!
  10. Disappointment with a huge side of anger.
  11. Always rated him. Plays a bit like Wharton in that deep midfield role. No need to be concerned though, we have Adam Forshaw.
  12. PNE to win and that dirty biting see you next Tuesday to score is a license to print money. Someone needs to say it in Merce’s absence.
  13. Classic Rovers (huge pinch of salt given it’s Nixon though): 19th: Rovers want O’Brien. 26th and one week closer to the deadline: Rovers still want O’Brien and have done bugger all about it.
  14. He looked like he was trying to save the inside of the net rather than the bloody ball.
  15. His issue is Pasha/Waggott will likely be demanding big bucks for him. What’s he got left, 18 months? If he does want to leave soon, then he may need to resign or strike a deal.
  16. I cannot tell you just how much I am convinced we’re losing this one. It’s never a good fixture at Ewood at the best of times, let alone after one win in nine. Smells of bitter disappointment even six days away.
  17. We see Gueye week in week out, but what about the other lad?
  18. One win in nine, six losses out of nine. Three defeats on the spin. Whichever way you look at it, we’re going to be bottom half before long - at best. The only slim consolation I see right now is for the first time in yonks 99% of our fans online are pretty unanimous in that Venky’s/Pasha/Waggott need booting out of Ewood with a king sized rocket placed right up their arses. Refreshing to see despite the odd idiot/bot/plant still doing their bit.
  19. Indeed. I don’t know what else to call it. Utterly prolonged shit form?
  20. Of course. One win in nine after today. Death spiral in full swing.
  21. That midfield and attack is embarrasing. Shame on you Venky’s.
  22. Think I’ve posted before about this but I got chatting to someone who knew him and they described him as the ultimate confidence player. When he plays badly, he reads the negative reviews etc. Hopefully if Brittain is out today he can show us what he can do at RB.
  23. McBurnie would want a decent championship wage. McBurnie would have more than our current (thanks Venky’s) shitshow of a club interested in him. Not happening.
  24. January 24th: ‘’When the window concludes, we’ll have a much clearer picture of what was sanctioned and how much was spent.’’ February 4th: ‘’Did you see the fees that mediocre players were going for towards the end of the window? We cannot compete with the majority of clubs in this division. Promotion is looking less likely by the day this season so we’re much better off keeping our powder dry for the summer.’’
