  1. Two losses at Ewood already and we’re not even out of September. Hard to see how we do anything this season - squad simply doesn’t have enough quality. It really is laughable that not one signing is having remotely any meaningful impact on this side. The blame is pretty much on Venky’s here but I will say that our recruitment team don’t seem to have covered themselves in glory either - likes of Tronstadt can’t even get a kick whilst the Ennis gamble is backfiring.
  2. I was hoping the Rotherham game may have been a turning point on that front, but who I was I kidding.
  3. Never have I been more confident of a match going 3-1 rather than 2-2. A shocking transfer window thanks to Venky’s is already coming home to roost. No chance I’m watching or reading any post match interviews - that smug b*stard is going to make me want to launch my TV/phone.
  4. FFS worst time to concede. How on earth are we losing? Really do not want to see Mowbray taking the 3 points. Would be too much to stomach.
  5. The most obvious goal of all time that. Surely every Rover saw that coming a mile off.
  6. Our two main strikers are the biggest sick notes in the league. It’s infuriating - just when we’re gaining a bit of momentum too. Sink or swim time for Semir you would think.
  7. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/september/15/boss-boosted-by-rankin-costello-return/ Yep, Ennis out for another two weeks, even though he was diagnosed with just two a couple of weeks ago. Also had an "illness". This lad is going to exceed Grella's time on the sick bench. You can't say all the warning signs weren't there. People can try to be as positive as they want, but it's looking like a highly risky signing - given the years involved - that is going to backfire.
  8. Broughton always talks well and this interview is no different. I don't know how anyone can knock him, his scouting team or JDT given the crumbs (if that) they had to work with. It's interesting this £5m figure reference from Raya. I was told it was £4m and that was from a v decent source.
  9. I really want to hear his post-window interview as to the reason that zero experience was brought through the door. Now, I'm imagining this is a Venky's/Suhail thing, but his interview should give clarity on that. If it was a GB / recruitment decision (unlikely IMO) then it was a nuts.
  10. Hard to score it anything to be fair. JDT asked for experience, we delivered fuck all. He won’t be here next season and who can blame him. Until those wretched owners leave us, we’ll never, ever progress.
  11. Fuck off Venkys. What else is there to say? The managers comments sum it all up.
  12. To be honest I was stunned when people were giving it 7 and 8s yesterday pre Buckley leaving. We’ve brought in more kids and inexperience. It’s been shit.
  13. It’s hard not to be angry right now. Shambles at the back and in midfield = no experience brought in. Shambles up front - a guy brought in whose highest goal scoring feats are from Germany’s 4th tier. Just fuck off once and for all Venkys.
  14. 3-0 dear God. Carbon copy of some of the ‘performances’ from last season. I reckon JDT is going to be fuming given the past 24 hours. And rightly so.
  15. If he couldn’t be motivated today against his boyhood club for the first time, then there really is no hope.
  16. There goes that bit of experience at the back. 1 day after the deadline shuts. Could have had a Danny Batth to bring on if the fucking owners actually listened to the manager.
  17. JDT is a smart bloke. Surely they can’t continue for much longer. We quite literally gift the opposition the ball back - every single time.
  18. He’s actually a pretty good impact player as a sub. He’s certainly not a starter though in a team who…ahem…perhaps have aspirations for the play-offs however.
  19. This German / Bosnian lad is going to need to be the second coming of Klose for us to challenge for the play-offs this season.
  20. It’s why we desperately needed a winger brought in yesterday. Nobody but Hedges who can play on the right.
  21. So typical of years gone by. Dominate, concede.
  22. 3-0 down now to Mowbray’s boys. They’ve got a good squad, but looking at their 11 today, it’s really not all that. I think only Leicester out of the relegated sides will run away from everyone else.
  23. Nice to see he looks ecstatic to be here in his interview - bit of a rarity these days! Being in Lancashire for a good while has probably whet his appetite for a return. Shame there's no option in there, but if he does well then who knows. Good luck to him.
  24. Really appreciate the update, thanks mate. On set pieces, did I dream this, or did we not appoint a set piece coach in the close season?! Yet to see any fruits, that's for sure.
  25. For those that were there, and I appreciate it’s a little difficult given the standard of the opposition, who was our standout youngster?
