  1. Maybe the midweek performance and result was the kick up the arse JDT needed, a realisation that even against the lesser teams in the league you can't fuck around with ridiculous experiments and get away with it.
  2. Really disappointed with AEW as of late. It's just become a total mess. A bloated roster, bad booking, ROH encroaching into AEW programming like an unwanted fungus... WWE meanwhile has improved a lot since Vince quit. Hardly a shock considering how backwards Vince's ideas had become, but I genuinely prefer WWE to AEW now, and I never thought I'd say that.
  3. It's been a problem for quite literally years now so almost certainly a mentality issue. Something that needs to be fixed within the squad from the Mowbray years, else those players will need to be replaced in the medium-to-long term as realistically we aren't going to get anywhere if we don't have the ability to gain points after conceding the first goal.
  4. Coming back from behind to win, what a novel concept. Even with 10+ minutes added on and with a man extra I'm sure we'd contrive to lose 3-1. Burnley will almost certainly get promoted from this very poor league, but they're certainly beatable if we bother to turn up and also manage to score first.
  5. I just got my PSVR2 pre-order email... £529, ouch. Feels like that price point may hinder sales, particularly with the economy in the state it's in right now. I have the original PSVR, picked it up essentially at launch back in 2016, but as it stands none of the games are compatible with PSVR2 so the library will have to be built from scratch. Some games will be ported, likely for free, but still... it's not like I even use my Quest 2 that much these days, even though it is awesome. If there was a way to pay in instalments I may consider it, but I don't think there is.
  6. It was similar under Mowbray in fairness. Seems like something that's just become ingrained into the team, particularly when it comes to going behind and failing to recover. It's a mindset that JDT and his staff need to fix, somehow. Sensible, consistent starting lineups would probably help.
  7. We'd be better off sticking Samba or Hendry themselves up front, frankly.
  8. Frankly even a 50% capable Dack is miles better than a 100% Vale or Hirst. Watford and Rotherham would probably be the other two matches where you could make a case. Three out of nineteen. Yet, we're second 🤷‍♂️
  9. Our performances this season have largely ranged from OK to terrible, so it is unusual to be 2nd. I can only assume it's the same for the rest of the league, and that inconsistency is rife. Fortunate for us I suppose. I can't really remember any truly outstanding performances under JDT so far. Maybe the 3-0 vs Swansea early on? Best I can recall off the top of my head.
  10. What a waste of time, topped off with a farcical red card. We didn't turn up tonight, unfortunately. Team selection was absolutely ridiculous. Players looked like they'd rather be anywhere else. Manager seemingly fell asleep at some point in the second half, waking up in the last ten minutes to chuck on a bunch of subs Mowbray-style. We let a Coventry team ravaged by illness totally control the game. Once we conceded we might as well have walked off, as we don't have the balls to come back from going behind. Truly amazing that we're 2nd, honestly, when we're capable of garbage performances like that. Oh well. Feel sad for the travelling fans, but just have to hope we score first in the next match I suppose.
  11. That's about as positive as possible. I don't think Hirst can do worse than Vale did in the first half. Injured I believe?
  12. If Hirst can't get ahead of Vale then we really have dropped a clanger with that signing - and he was supposedly our primary forward target this summer!
  13. Terrible half. That starting line up was like self-sabotage. Changes needed urgently.
  14. Not even close to being at the required level, if we're being honest. Will just have to hope he can nick a goal from somewhere to boost his confidence a little.
  15. Four wins on the bounce, second in the table, I'm not going to question JDT on Buckley's absence. The lad was clearly not at the level required previously - it might be something personal he needs to sort out. Who knows. Either way as has been noted he only got given a 5 year contract recently, so I'm sure he's still in our plans.
  16. Yeah, wtf. I checked the score and it was showing them 4-2 up on 94 mins, assumed that was that. Then I checked my phone 10 minutes later and had a text from an Ipswich fan absolutely devastated. Wow. Well done to Rovers, a solid away win and a clean sheet. Four wins on the spin. Good times.
  17. Birmingham already two up against QPR. Not surprised, they looked like a decent side at Ewood on Saturday. We did well to take three points off them, and I think they'll climb the league pretty quickly if their performance levels stay at a similar level for the rest of the season.
  18. Reminds me a bit of when people used to argue about Samuel / Nuttall. The simple truth was that neither were good enough, and so it is here. We'll have to make do until January at least, but long-term we need better.
  19. Pretty much. We got in behind them a few times in the second half but couldn't capitalise. If BBD had been on form I think we may have nabbed a third, but it just wasn't his day today.
  20. Easy to forget that with his hefty rump Dack is actually very good at holding up and shielding the ball. Exactly what we needed today as we repeatedly returned the ball to Birmingham in the final ten minutes with nobody on the pitch even remotely capable of holding it up and relieving the pressure a little. I trust JDT's judgement on this but imo there was a place for Dack or a player similar to Dack today, and bringing on the likes of Dolan and Vale didn't really help.
  21. It's funny seeing the exact same Mowbrayisms coming up on their forum. Throwing on subs with no obvious plan. Complete lack of tactical nous. Standing/sitting looking bewildered or bored. Sounding like a defeated man in interviews. Bigging up the opposition, regardless of stature. Saying he'll make no excuses than proceeding to reel off at least a dozen immediately. Inability to utilise or defend set pieces. They think when their strikers return things will change, but likely it'll just get more baffling.
  22. Just glad he and Evans aren't our problem anymore.
  23. He's definitely playing with confidence at the moment. Showing for the ball, trying to take on players (and sometimes actually succeeding) and getting into decent positions. Very much needed with Diaz struggling today. Interesting how BBD seems to play across the entire frontline now, mind. He was often playing as an AMC with a free role, flitting between both flanks and the centre. Not much came off for him today but he wasn't hiding. Just one of those games.
