The fabled European Scouting Network not exactly a resounding success, then. Wasn't that one of the major policies Mowbray was hanging his hat on?

What Does Next Season Have In Store ?
DE. replied to Herbie6590's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
1. Don't know 2. Don't know 3. Kaminski 4. 16th-21st if TM is removed before January and replaced by somebody competent, 22nd if not 5. WBA -
I believe the 92 club feature stopped working during one of the recent forum upgrades. I think @StubbsUK mentioned in the relaunch thread that it will hopefully return in the future though.

I could be wrong but I don't think the idea is to put the site/forum behind a paywall. I think it's just if you want to pay to remove adverts the option is there, otherwise crack on as is.

Summer transfer window 2021.

The only thing Mowbray's slow build has done is slowly put FFP weights around us, which are now dragging us down. If we had somebody intelligent taking care of the bigger picture we would never end up in this situation, let alone for the second time in six years, but alas... -

Tbf this is Tony Mowbray we're talking about. "Sam Gallagher on the right wing" Tony Mowbray. -

Yep, considering the relative rarity of a major injury I think Armstrong will be comfortable waiting out the year if needed. May well play more conservatively to avoid injury as well, which wouldn't be good for us. He and his agent will be rubbing their hands in glee at the potential increased signing on/agent fees if we don't agree a deal this summer. Dack's situation was just serious bad luck. Add in he's also older than Armstrong so the time available to bounce back post-injury is reduced considerably. With all of that said I think Armstrong will be gone before the window closes. The club won't risk losing him for nothing. -
This is typically how it works when it comes to cost cutting. The person who stays on is supposed to feel grateful for still having a job despite now having double the workload.

Just finished Astro Bot: Rescue Mission on PSVR. I've had it a while but only just got around to getting through it. Incredible game and outstanding use of the VR platform.

I don't think any of us need pre-season results or performances to inform us on how next season is likely to go. If we finish 21st that will exceed my expectations.

I was under the impression it was the opposite way around, that Venus preferred the more direct style and Mowbray was more into tippy-tappy, possession-based football.

This season, during the 2 wins in 17 run, was the first time I can remember so many fans united in agreeing it was time for him to go. For a lot of us at least a year too late, but even the most staunch Mowbray supporters by that point realised it was best for all parties for the relationship to end. Under any other owners it'd be impossible to explain why Mowbray was still here. With Venky's though, anything is possible, and for our club that is never in a positive sense.

It's just the end of another FFP cycle. Seen it all before under Bowyer and wouldn't be surprised if it ultimately ends in the same way. The only difference I can foresee is that I don't think we'll be bouncing back up at the first attempt next time. -

Honestly if Armstrong goes - and with Dack injured and no budget/ability to replace either of them - I think Mowbray could end up relegating us. It would be a very sad end to things and pretty much render his League 1 promotion moot as all it achieved was further debt and hopelessness before dropping back to the same division he got us out of. I hope I'm wrong but I'm more pessimistic about this season than any other since TM took charge. He was clearly a busted flush last season. The players know it. We're in big trouble imo. -

Remember when they said Derek Shaw had 'gone rogue' then proceeded to continue employing him in the same position? -

That's the thing, I don't think he is trying to do that. I think Mowbray is arrogant, deluded and has completely lost the plot, but at the same time I am sure he genuinely believes - as ridiculous as it appears from the outside - that he is doing the best job possible in the circumstances. The real culprits aren't in the manager's dugout, they are much further away and are the true people responsible for the club's destruction over the past decade. -

I hate that Mowbray is our manager. I don't hate him personally. -

At this point you have to think anyone who doesn't understand the issue is wilfully ignorant of it. Even the biggest Mowbray fans at the very least went silent during that horrific run, whilst many outright turned on him. Crazy that he's still here, taking pre-season like everything's OK, appointing his mates as usual, already trolling the fanbase with idiotic soundbites. He must wake up every day and thank whatever malevolent deity brought Rovers and Venky's together. -

He'd be sacked way before game 17! Even Mowbray publicly admitted he couldn't believe he was still in a job. I'm not sure there's another club in the country with owners so disinterested they don't know or care about such a disgusting run of form. -
The top six ended up making a bit of an embarrassment of the rest of the league last year tbh. Reading in 7th finished 7(!) points behind Bournemouth in 6th, and a ridiculous 27 points behind Norwich in 1st. Now granted it's not uncommon in recent years for 1st place to slaughter the rest of the division, but that is the largest gap between 6th and 7th in the Championship since the 05/06 season when 7th placed Wolves finished 8 points behind Crystal Palace in 6th.

Might as well have added to the application "must have worked with Tony Mowbray previously". Would have saved the other 86 applicants wasting their time applying. -
Even that he probably leaves up to his wife. "If the lemon drizzle wasn't up to standard you'll have to talk to the missus, I let her decide where to buy it from. I don't really believe in supermarkets."
