Anyone hear Greg Broughton interview on radio 5 Live before the game? He referenced 'if and when JDT leaves..' not sure on the wisdom on that?? I got the impression there was a reason he said it..

Very Jekyl and Hyde aren't we.. was a terrible watch, made worse by how bloody cold it was in Stoke.. I thought that Neil's comments before the game would be the perfect motivation for our lot, but we just laid back and perfected his narrative! Tactically Neil nailed JDT and mentally we were second best everywhere.. 3-2 massively flattered us, probably should have been 4-1.. All that said this is a 10-14th position team, so we are massively punching. Play offs would be a huge achievement, we have to back JDT with at least 3 x new players and see where we get to next season.

JDT has lost us this game today no question about it. Took off our most potent threats when we were in the ascendancy! Absolutely shocking

Right now our squad is lower to mid table... I genuinely believe we have a decent young core.. but it needs some help / investment.. A CM and Striker and we are slightly above mid table.. right now our attacking threat is nullified by Gallagher, Vale, Brereton.

JDT has every right to be annoyed.. he needs more support, his team are pinching above thier weight in terms of results and league positions but the football is shocking.. probably worse than Mowbray.. I always said he needs 3-4 transfer windows to get his team in place.. 1.5 down.. 2.5 to go.. so far he has not been supported and has every right to be annoyed. In tonight's game I thought once we took off Sorba we took away any chance of winning the goal.. our team is toothless and having to rely on Vale and Galagher says it all.

I think JDT comments last night probably summed up the situation... Pretty disgraceful the fans have been left hanging like they have... Communication is key, even if its bad news.

I think Garratt has got something, unfortunately Trav is on a downward spiral... if you look purely at raw materials then Garratt is ahead... which is a shame because I thought Travis was gonna be the 1st name on the sheet about a year ago

Before the season started I said I would be happy with mid table, especially given JDT will be blooding more youngsters which he has and the guys that left over the summer. Hes had half a transfer window so far, I think any manager with our budget needs 3-4 transfer windows to get to where he wants. I have concerns about the team, absolutely I do, but right now JDT is 'punching' there us no doubt about that given the overall holistic picture and facts. I would have expected / wanted play offs next season, but there are teams with bigger budgets than us so we have to be realistic. We lose JDT and we bring someone else in, no one is guaranteed of success in the championship.

Ok so just got home from the game (what the heck was going on with the traffic, been a long time since its been that bad) Anyway onto the game, yes Forest were much the better side and had it not been for Pears heroics it would have been a cricket score! Totally get the selection given a) these lads got us here and b) upcoming games, the priority has to be to get onto the play offs, irrespective of how.. that said, the most worrying this about this side is the lack of resilience we have, we really do have a very soft under belly... for what it's worth my player ratings: Pears 9 - probably the game of his career, sad that we still lost 4-1 Travis 6 - this lad is going backwards and runs like savage did at 36! Williams 7 - decent all things compared (his age etc) Wharton 6 - yes he scored but he was generally poor what's happened to his rock solidness? Mola 3 - out of his depth send him back, put a youngster in Garett 7 - played well, I like this lad, if he can kick on he'll be decent Wharton 6 - again seems to have gone backwards but early days for him Markanday 7.5 - to be brought off ahead of others is criminal, one of the few bright sparks on a miserable night. He has something we are missing in our squad! Hedges 5 - missing most of the game, sad to see Smodzic 8 - worked his socks off and showed a few nice touches, my outfield man of the match Hirst 3 - what does this guy offer! I mean honestly we should play Markanday down the middle ahead of this half hearted lump. Thought Buckley showed some nice touches, hoping he can fill in for Travis..

Anything better than a 5-0 drubbing will be a bonus That's my expectation level with that side!
