  1. There's clearly no intention to sell or to get us back to the PL. Those who believe that they are keeping us with a view to getting back to the PL to recover their investment I think are deluded. The only calculations they need to be thinking about are whether they want another 10 years of funding a Championship / League One club to the tune of Β£10 million+ a year, ultimately costing them a further Β£100 million or more on top of what it has already cost, or whether they are better putting a stop to it now, stopping the drain of money and handing it over for a nominal amount to someone willing to try and better the club.
  2. Just think, we can be told about how 'we can't compete' with clubs like Bolton, Wigan, Huddersfield, Luton and Cardiff. Have any of you seen how many people live in those places compared to Blackburn with Darwen?
  3. Absolutely... if anyone wanted an insight into the lengths and depths this regime will go to to arse cover and deflect the blame those two sorry, shameful recent episodes in our history are up there with the best of them. We've had a very high turnover in players over the years and yet the only ones that face 'admin errors' are those that require the club to commit to substantial costs. Convenient. Another example of this club apparently facing 'issues' and 'difficulties' and 'strange things' that no other club ever comes up against. They are good at lying. I think most sensible people can work out there's a pattern here and it all leads back to the regime. They must think the fanbase is totally stupid. But then again with the views of some supporters and an ever compliant local media lining up to swallow and regurgitate whatever rubbish they serve up I can hardly blame them for trying.
  4. Whether he wants to count it or not doesn't matter. It goes on his managerial statistics - now played 15, won 4, drawn 3, lost 8.
  5. After all this time you still haven't realised that my comments were tongue in cheek and sarcastic. No wonder the club can pull the wool over your eyes so easily.
  6. No no no you haven't read the script. Joe Rothwell left because his wife wanted to live on the South Coast (since gone to Leeds and Rangers) JDT left to take the Sweden job (which he took ages after leaving here) Lenihan left even though we offered him a huge deal to stay (yeah right) Eustace left for family reasons and to save 30 minutes on his commute Brittain left despite us "imminently" agreeing terms on a new deal with him Travis is going to leave for 'life changing' money at Derby County None of the above anything at all to do with the approach of Rovers.
  7. Birmingham and Wrexham have exploited their owners' connections abroad particularly in the USA and signed highly lucrative international sponsorship deals despite only being able to offer League One/Two football up until this year. Ambition. Thinking big. Not accepting your lot in life with a shrug of the shoulders. Contrast to this rotten regime, refusing to look beyond Darwen for sponsors or fans, not having a commercial director. 'We're a local small town club' bizarrely used as some sort of badge of honour yet hamstringing the club financially. These owners have done NOTHING in 15 years to secure the club advantageous sponsorship. Other than their own 'sponsorship' - forced to do it as a way of legitimately getting more money into the club (stickers on the shirts and filthy boards across the Riverside) there hasn't been a single sponsorship of any size or duration with Indian companies/firms. Zero effort or interest.
  8. If its the difference between promotion and not, or relegation and survival, then its a price worth paying. Too often here the focus is on the individual - their cost, transfer fee, wages, scope for increasing in value The focus really needs to be on the team and giving it the experience, depth and quality to actually go and achieve something in the game rather than just existing with no purpose whilst rivals all overtake us.
  9. We're getting to the point where you have to balance potential outgoings/incomings and the costs/benefits of those with the value of retaining Championship status. Even the most deluded and optimistic of supporters can surely see now that this isn't a good Championship squad and that it is going to be one almighty struggle this season. It always makes me wonder the thought process going on in some people's heads when they clamour for a player to be sold (or in this case be forced out) on the basis it 'makes financial sense' to sell now, get a million or two in (that won't be used to improve the squad, because even if they allowed a chunk of it to be spent on fees our wage 'model' prevents us from getting proven quality) and then a direct result of these sort of sales is potential relegation to League One and probably Β£10 million+ in revenue lost. There's still a lot of delusion around that we can just offload all these players, cut costs, sign equivalent or better quality and stay in the Championship (if you consider that to be some sort of achievement, I don't but the people running the club do). The penny will drop in the coming weeks only it will be too late when it does.
  10. Yes I know what Elliott Jackson says. I've just pointed out that it seems unlikely to say the least that this board of 4 active directors has made that decision. That's what I suggest people do - ask questions and scratch beneath the surface rather than just accepting and repeating what other people say. I've seen a photo of a man sat next to Rudy Gestede on Tuesday. Who says it is Sreenivasa Rao? I've never seen him or a photo of him before. Maybe it could be Bob Coar, Gandhi Babu or Steve Waggot. One has admitted he has no involvement in decision making, one has never been seen or heard of in 14 years and the other was removed from the club 3 months ago. Some board of directors there.
  11. Man, woman, plant pot, makes no difference because whatever their job title and whatever the PR spin they won't be CEO in practice and will be a stooge/shield for Venkys and their man in the shadows. Sadly I think you and plenty of others will line up and accept whatever they do next embracing it as a 'new era' but it won't be. Pasha can read the room and he will be on the hotline for a 6-12 month consultancy role to come in with a fancy title, suit and impressive talk for the next forum meeting, just once we've got the rest of these decent players out the door, that's much more urgent.
  12. There is no board to make such a decision. Let's have a look at our 'board' of directors: Robert Coar, Gandhi Babu, Sreenivasa Rao, Steve Waggott Those are the only four active directors of the club, according to Companies House. Which one or more of that bunch do you reckon has interfered in a pre-match press conference and decided what questions can be asked/answered? Gestede / Pasha are not directors and therefore not board members, if they have made the decision it is a lie to say the board has.
  13. https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/25394277.bolton-wanderers-18million-share-issue-ownership-group/ Nothing to see here, just Bolton's non billionaire owners injecting Β£18 million to keep them going and invest. I thought it was only the great and wonderful billionaires Venkys covering such losses and nobody else in the world could do that.
  14. I'm not suggesting he resign or give up his job. Just put his foot down as a journalist and tell the club that he will ask the questions that his readers want to know about. If they are restricting the topics he can ask about then he can't do his job. I am pleased he is telling people that the club are restricting his questions rather than just playing along with it. Hopefully wakes a few more of the morons up who think this is normal.
  15. Wonder if Jackson will still be praising the 'openness and honesty' of Ismael whilst at the same time being banned from asking questions about the most important topics at the club right now. If he had anything about him he'd walk out of the room and refuse to report on the topics Rovers want covering.
  16. Like full on Soviet Union. Any topics the Regime isn't comfortable with are banned. Any comments at the Fans Forum they don't like simply omitted from the minutes. So much for Gestede and his 'communication' spiel. Sounds good but no real intention of delivering it.
  17. The irony of it all that arguably our two best signings last summer were Batth (33 when he joined) and Weimann (32 when he joined), both on free transfers, yet out of them we got a rock and organiser in defence and 9 goals in 30 odd appearances from Weimann including vitally important strikes e.g. away at Burnley and home v Norwich (the club are quite happy to regularly post the video of his rocket at Turf Moor). This arbitrary and ridiculous approach of not signing over 30's or only giving them 1 year deals. Just madness in this league. No amount of stats and fancy talk from Gestede and other clipboard / laptop carriers will deliver better value for money than those two delivered last season.
  18. They'll finish above us this season after being in League One last year and were in non-league a few years ago. They're doing it right, we're doing it wrong. They won't get busted with FFP either which proves that clubs getting relatively small gates and no parachute money can spend big at this level without issues.
  19. I'm not going to forget that two of our summer signings were made from Vincent Tan's Belgian club. I don't believe in coincidences like that in football, much less where this gang are concerned. I'm sure in fullness of time more connections will emerge between Rudy and friendly faces elsewhere. He's here to make a name for himself by unearthing a gem or two, doing the Venky dirty work under the facade of a new project/era. He'll be sacrificed before next summer and another project starts. Next time it will be another 180 pivot to a British model and old school manager again.
  20. Still not answering the question. Third or fourth time you're insisting that a true version of events has been given. How do you know that? If you can't answer that then stop insisting it is definitely the truth. It might not be.
  21. You haven't answered my question. No surprises because you can't. The question was how do you know that Ismael has been open and honest about the situation? You don't. Nobody does other than him and the people he works for. Even he might not know whether the version of events he has been given by the Regime is accurate or not. It certainly wouldn't be the first time they have misled or lied to one of their employees to shore up their Regime. Its funny. You are a big fan of the 'Head Coach' model yet for some reason think that Ismael will have intricate knowledge of all contract negotiations, which isn't really what happens under a head coach model, where the board and D of F deal with that side of things. I bet he has no idea other than being told player x isn't signing or getting a new deal. I know what Jackson has reported. He's another lavishing praise on Ismael for 'honesty' - I'll ask again - how does he know he's being honest or more importantly even if he is that he's not been fed a load of tripe by his employers?
  22. Perhaps JDT, via Broughton, was instructed that Travis was a 'problem' due to his 'high earner' status and that he would need removing from the team/squad to free up cash. The Ipswich scheme failed because they had little use for him when getting automatic promotion and then he came back just as someone else (Waggott apparently) had appointed Eustace who immediately recognised the value of him and made him central to his plans, together with bringing in other established Championship players. None of those things fit the 'model' the Regime have had in mind for the last 3-4 years so they were more than happy to get Eustace out, grab the compo and find a coach willing to oversee their plans.
  23. Ismael didn't need to say that Travis has asked to leave. He could simply have batted off questions and limited his talk to the dismal defeat to Bradford. As I said earlier, he's either an idiot and said it without thinking of the impact it could have on the player and fanbase, or he's complicit in the Regime's cover-up operation which has been gaining a lot of momentum the last few days. The Regime knows that eyes are on them and pressure is building. Turning the focus on 'wantaway' players and feeding Jackson sob stories about 'lifechanging' offers from Derby all part of that
  24. How do you know this? How can you, or anyone else (including Ismael) know that the information he has been given by the regime at Ewood is correct or honest? Answer is you don't. Nor does Elliott Jackson, It just sounds nice to believe that everyone and everything at Rovers is wonderful and honest and there's nothing untoward going on.
  25. Agreed, we all have a decision to make at some point along this winding road which ends with a cliff-edge as to whether we can in good conscience continue to throw our money, time and energy into such an organisation. A limited, honest poor, struggling club, poor standard of football, lower leagues I can accept. What I cannot accept is a lack of effort, pride, lies, disgraceful mismanagement and conduct. Some continue to live in la la land but for me the way this regime has treated the fans, its staff, players, the women's team, Eustace, JDT, the signings that we pulled the plug on at the 11th hour - all abhorrent shameful episodes presided over by charlatans of the highest order
