  1. Looks really good. Can’t wait. A lot of it was also filmed around Lancashire. Whilst on the subject Sunderland’s new series is aptly out April fools day where they lose two finals. Should be a good watch . Also Tottenham have one out near Xmas with the sacking of poch mourinho appointment and dier crowd surfing. Should be fun
  2. Id say it’s irony. i get your point and I like your name ?
  3. Yet inglorious basturk is one of the best names on here . Irony lol
  4. I think Lenihan would get injured at some point and the wheels would fall off. We need more quality and better depth defensively at a minimum to have a fighting chance
  5. Gallagher 9 brereton 10 dack 10 Holtby 10 buckley 10 armstrong 9 or 10 samuel 9 rothwell 10 that is imo those players best position. Looks very imbalanced to me. To many players for one or two roles and no natural width what so ever Costello and the forgotten man chapman . That is all we have to play naturally wide sorry , and mr versatility
  6. You It’s not a bad deal and fair play for trying something . If it gets a few extra than it’s better than nothing . I just think your more likely to get people coming on a one off game at a tenner. Then when they do come ala Wigan at least there will be a decent crowd and some atmosphere which would more likely entice them back. Unfortunately the Wigan game on a winter night was awful. Four games of small crowds playing for nothing in an empty library won’t entice people to commit for a season especially after games like stoke the other day. If you can get one decent game for a tenner and hopefully the players put a performance in with 16000 plus and some atmosphere more people will come back. It’s the buzz of football we’re all chasing . It’s easier to get hooked on the ten pound scenario if that makes any sense it’s one thing getting fans and another keeping them
  7. Fair play to whoever sorted that. excellent from the club and positive steps forward to bringing the community together as well as improving rovers match day fan base and atmosphere. lets hope it’s a success
  8. I think this is the biggest problem lost on the club. Like like you the vast majority who are committed fans have season tickets / half season tickets. Fans won’t shell out large amounts in one go and commit if they arnt already committed fans. I would love to get a season ticket but can’t as I don’t know when I can make a game with work and child commitments I.e if my child is coming with me or not until , only get my rota two weeks at a time plus other issues that can arise so whilst it is a good deal in theory the people like me who it would be aimed at simply can’t commit to bundle deals no matter how good the deal is. Lower the price of a ticket for a game or two and you will get far better success rates than these bundle deals instead we get the waggot tax .
  9. I know we should have done whatever to get Nigel Pearson when he was in the back end of nowhere . We would be in the mix undoubtedly by now
  10. Dack won’t be back til Xmas and will need time get back to his usually standards which still means we will be heavily reliant on the four aforementioned. Hopefully Holtby will be able to also contribute when fit
  11. As mark said with the meeting in India , euros, coronovirus or whatever excuse likely deals won’t be done and we will more than likely end up loaning a couple of players again right at the end of the window , followed by the emergence of Hayden carter lighting up the reserves and ready to step up . All this in the hope no one is sold . I’ve naturally turned pessimistic since the venkys rocked up , never used to be , but i just have no faith that we will sign and own a back four and keeper to build for the future . I hope he proves me wrong then I can enjoy the wingers are coming debate for the next twelve months . Also we have options up top, fairly decent, I’d say average for the league where in . Certainly not top six material . With Graham going and we have any hope of top six we also need a proven goalscorer. Can anyone realistically say that Samuel , Gallagher, Brereton and Armstrong (who will probably be out wide ) are going to fire 30-40 goals to get us up . I dont
  12. Genuinely bought a copy and read it before the game on Saturday and gave it to the bloke at side of me at half time . Never looked the answers up. Guna do my head In now. Anyone still got a thatcher card ?
  13. Well I’ve decided to give the mls a go why it’s just kicked off. Just sitting down to watch mr beckhams club/franchise whatever it is play lafc. Will trapp is starting for inter Miami. An old name from the transfer threads
  14. Can his Southampton and united friends not join and get involved (eats popcorn gif)
  15. Going to a few games with an atmosphere would also be quite nice ?
  16. I think one three and four may be Alan Miller David may and graham Fenton. No idea about number two. Donis maybe
  17. I know when he comes back fit he should and will be back in The ten role. I just hope he comes back the same player with the same attitude. As for the rest of the team we have to hope we can keep hold of the better players. Once the loan deals expire and the Graham, smallwood, mulgrew, hopefully Dom Samuel all move out that leaves quite a list of players needed. what concerns me is this finding young gems and polishing them up mantra Tony always speaks about. If this is still the case then we are going to be heavily reliant on what we already have to produce week in week out. Factor in the mowbray bedding in period and I believe it’s going to be a case of mid table mediocrity at best. Then there is the concern he can’t get the deals over the line because players cost more than they did in the 90s. The same excuses will be used we couldn’t get the right lads in , won’t break the wage structure, it will take time to bed in the new lads in, they have to learn how we play . They need to learn the system (which going off yesterday’s performance was the same one Sam Allardyce implemented ). i fear it’s going to on be a long season. It’s going to be one step forward and two back......but we go again is going to be the new we gave it a right good go. I really hope I’m wrong . Believe me I do. I hope Tony has identified targets and has a clear vision of what is needed and has back up plans etc but with ffp looming and History suggests this is going to be the start of the steadied the ship period bowyer has to manage. never wanted to be called a doom monger and have you all throw it back in my face more but that’s what I see
  18. I’m just going to keep it simple. played Gallagher in his natural position....scored. Moved him to the right .......shite brereton was very good when he came on....in his natural position and was mom imo. Never thought I’d type that. disapointed with the result yet relieved to get a point. decent first half without being great up until the goal Graham looks finished , rothwell was inn effective and rightly subbed as was Dom. still dont understand what anyone sees in this lad on paper a point closer , in reality proof we don’t have what it takes .
  19. Let’s hope rothwell and Samuel have there crossing boots on and maybe just maybe play to sams strengths with Armstrong profiting from his work rate and aerial ability and hold up play. It’s probably the best we can hope for with the 11 named. I just can’t see Tony playing a 4-4-2
  20. I don’t know I think it could be very entertaining for all the wrong reasons (gulp)
  21. Samuel wing, Armstrong off Gallagher ? i hope it’s that. Best case scenario ?
